[Scarlet Faith]

Under the many moons of Ithor, Scarlet lay resting contently beside a large tree. Well, hundreds of trees actually. While in the rainforest, all she could think of was her new boyfriend. She hadn't even known him for that long, but everything was perfect when she was with him. "Oh, Zack..." Her heart fluttered at the mere mention of his name. Chuckling softly, she listened to the gentle patter of rain on the upper canopy that shielded her. It was so peaceful here... It was as if nothing could go wrong.

Lexa sat up in the rainforest canopy. She'd been stuck on this god-forsaken planet for a few weeks now. The forest was huge and confusing to her, and she hated it. she had managed to climb up one tree and make a nest of sorts. She was getting ready to hunt for food when she slipped a bit on the mossy branch beneath her. She screamed as she began to plummet to the ground far below.

Scarlet was just falling asleep when something alerted her. The birds and wildlife began scattering. "What....?" That's when she saw the figure on her way to the ground, facing imminent death. "Uh, don't worry! I've got you!" Like she'd done a thousand times before, she quickly whipped out her scythe, unfurled it, and used the blade end's sniper shot to propel her at blinding speed. Rushing through the air, she slowed herself down just enough to catch the woman, though she stumbled directly afterward. Getting up slowly, she winced at the pain. "Ow..."

Lexa was surprised to feel someone catch her before they hit the ground together. She looked to see a girl, a little younger than herself, rising beside her. When she winced, Lexa stood up. "Sorry. About injuring your foot, I mean. I wasn't supposed to fall....." She said, glancing up at were she once was in the trees.

Scarlet giggled softly. "And what were you doing in the trees, when all the beauty is down here?" She gestured around them at the various trees, bushes, and moss that covered the forest floor.

Lexa shrugged. "Hunting. Making a temporary bed. You know, surviving. I've been here for weeks. I'm honestly getting sick of the place." She sighed.

"Oh, i'm sorry..." Scarlet frowned a little. "I have a ship, I could help you off of here if you really want. But how could you not like it here? It's so peaceful. Even more so than Endor."

Lexa looked down at the girl for a minute, a look on her face. "Obviously you haven't been here at night, then." She said. She bent down and picked up her lightsaber from the ground, which had come off of her belt during the fall. "But, I'd appreciate a ride. Whenever you'd like to leave, of course..."

Scarlet's eyes widened when she saw the weapon. "You have a lightsaber?! That's so awesome! Wait. Are you a Jedi or a Sith?" She looked at her a little warily. She seemed to be nice enough so far, so Scarlet guess she couldn't have been a sith.

Lexa shrugged. "Does it matter? I haven't tried to kill you, so let's just leave it at that." She placed the Lightsaber back on her belt. Her stomach grumbled. "Oh, right. I was hunting for some food before I fell..."

Scarlet looked at the other oddly, a quizzical look on her face. She would definitely ask again later. "Well, I have some food over at my camp. Come on, I have a fire, shelter and everything." She smiled and led the way.

Lexa followed the girl to a hut a few miles away, which was covered by dense foliage for camouflage. "Nice spread," She said. "Build it yourself?"

"Yep! Only took a day or so to get situated. Been here for about a week, and I'm really enjoying myself." She walked around the camp, sitting next to the fire where a few small carcasses lay. Picking up a pre-skinned one, she put it on a stick and began to cook it over the fire.

Lexa sat down next to her, still looking around. The sun would be setting soon. Already, the trees were becoming pitch black. "We might want to get inside soon," Lexa said, "We don't want to attract local wildlife..."

Scarlet scoffed at the idea. "Most of the wildlife here is friendly. Attracting them is no issue."

Lexa guffawed at the girl's comment. "Well then you must be an animal whisperer or something, because they weren't friendly with me..." She said, shuddering at the memory from her first night in this nightmare...

Scarlet shrugged. "Well, I haven't been trying to climb in the trees, for one. The birds make a lot of homes up there, they were just defending them most likely. Also, I am pretty good with animals anyway. You just have to learn how to treat them." By now, the meat had been cooked, so she handed it to the girl. "Here you go, eat up." She then began to make one for herself.

Lexa gratefully took the meat and began eating it slowly. "Never was good with animals," She said as she put another bite in her mouth.

Scarlet smirked a little at the comment. "I see you're not burning anything, at least you seem to have your powers under control for th moment." She chuckled and took a bite of her own food, it now being cooked.

Lexa shrugged. "Burning around here can get way out of hand if you're not careful. I try to shy away from it when I'm in the vicinity of a jungle."
