A Deal with the Wolves

'Well, I didn't think I'd be back here so soon,' Taeli thought as her ship exited hyperspace in the Kesh system. She had sought special permission from her sister to do this meeting, and while they had discussed it, Taeli only had one day before she had to tell her sister she was returning to Ossus.

She had sent a message to [member="Solan Charr"] and [member="Vulpesen"] to meet about establishing her company in a long term agreement with the Vitae Alliance, providing them with ships, weapons, and droids along with other things. They needed it, she knew that, as they didn't have much in the way of a strong production company. Well, one not as large as hers.

Transmitting her docking clearance, she angled the ship down to dock at the palace's private hanger bay. She had a feeling she knew the meeting was going to be in Solan's gardens, as always.

Lo and behold, Solan was where he always was as Taeli would be brought into the area, his hands plunged into the dirt as he worked to remove weeds from the garden. Around him was a number of things, his saber, a few daggers, a hand held hoe, a spade, and a number of other implements. It was when she would stop onto the ground of the garden that his body would freeze and he would turn his head as his face grew into a smile. "Hey there, i apologize for the appearance. You caught me working on this as always, one of these times i sure you will get me when im handling the affairs of the state..." He wiped off his hands with a cloth but his clothing, a simple tan tee and trousers, was covered in it much as his arms were. "So... i assume we are still waiting on Fox brains?"

"Eherm." The voice would sound behind Solan as Vulpesen stepped out from the shade of a tree, materializing from the air and in the force. He normally didn't use such dramatic entrances, especially not with friends, but he did need to practice his stealth some time. "Watch it mate. Until further notice, only one can call me by that name." To tell the truth, the nick-name brought a small pang to his heart. Alex was still gone. He needed to find her again. Still, he suppressed the momentary heartbreak for the matters at hand. "Anyways, hello Taeli."

"Hello you two, I would say Alex sends her regards, but I've been under strict supervision and haven't seen her for awhile," Taeli said, sitting down at one of the garden tables. "We need to make this fast, I promised my sister I'd be on my way back to Ossus in a day, still on probation after all. Anywho, down to business, what can my company do for you in exchange for a long term contract or sponsership by the Vitae Alliance?"

She was cutting directly to the point, and while Solan also had a stake in Aurora Industries, Taeli still considered it her company more than anyone else's. She had done almost all of the work that had brought it to the size and strength it was.

"I believe it will be quite simple, in regards to what could be provided but i think Vulpesen will want to speak first before i do. He after all has a better handle on what thee Vitae needs and im more than sure your company will be a very... strong supplier no matter what it is that you have in mind for the Vitae." It was more a deal between the two of them, he was merely the bridge between them, thats how he always liked it. He was not a leader, he was a bridge and nothing more than that.

Vulpesen nodded and leaped up to sit on a branch of the tree he had just appeared from. No reason he couldn't be comfortable. Even if another mention of Alexandra put a bit of pain in his heart. "Solan is right. We will be needing a strong supplier. As out other contracts are either droid or ship manufacturers, I'm planning on using you as our main weapon maker, though I'm aware that you are mostly a ship company." He pulled a holoprojector from his coat and turned it on, showing several different weapons. "In fact, I've already planned several of the weapons."

Taeli had to really fight the urge to sigh when he said he just wanted to use them as a weapon supplier, although the weapons he wanted she would be interested in developing for the Vitae. Still, Taeli really need to press home that while they had other suppliers, Aurora was bigger than anything else that was supplying the Vitae.

"I'd be happy to be a weapon supplier for the Vitae," she said, smiling brightly. "However, I must point out that you have no actual company that can provide you with larger capital ships or even produce as many ships as we can. We are a rather large operation Vulps, as I'm sure Solan has told you, so I'd also like to develop ships and droids for the Vitae. Your weapon designs are actually quite nice, I definitely like the idea of making something EMP resistant. That's something that definitely helps keep your people alive."

"She is correct Vulpesen. While Lady Savan can provide us with ships Aurora Industries is in the unique position of being able to create ships far beyond the performance of our other suppliers... now while im not saying we should make Taeli a single and only supplier it should be taken into thought that it would be difficult to.. survive without a wide variety of resources far beyond what our current suppliers can promise. As well as keeping in mind the other interpersonal benefits of what a deal with Aurora could mean."

Sure, he benefited from both sides making this deal but he also wanted to see the vitae succeed. So two birds with one stone... or rather more like three or four considering other things but hell that was what he was. A man that looked for opportunities and took a large chuck with him the moment he could. Those that hesitated lost.

Vulpesen let out a small laugh and shook his head. "You misunderstand me. While I intend to use you as a weapons manufacturer, I'll of course welcome any ships the company can produce for us." He leaned back against another branch. "And as for EMP's, I assure you that I rather enjoy not having my grenades deplete my weapons. you'd be surprised how much I rely on them."

"So I've heard," Taeli laughed before opening a datapad. "So here is what I'm proposing, Aurora Industries will gain a long term contract or sponsorship from the Vitae Alliance to produce weapons, droids, and ships for your alliance. We also wish to construct a large shipyard operation in the Vergesso Asteroid system to provide the Vitae with modern capital ships and readily accessible resources to pull from to construct said ships. You would also have access to and request of us any project you so wish, including providing those weapons for your Veran Guards."

Vulpesen fell somewhat on his branch, locking his knees so that he could hang from the limb as he listened to the proposition. After all, no reason to be bored as he waited to hear what his business partner had to say. "That sounds fair to me. Purchases, a steady supply of ships and weapons in return for a factory and payment. What about you, Solan? Sound like something we can agree on?"

Solan laughed and smiled as he spoke. "Profits and the continued prosperity of the Vitae. That does work out very much so on both sides of the spectrum." Sure, he had an interest in both the Vitae and Aurora, he would make money from one and feed the second with defenses and weaponry that he personally knew would be of high quality. "I see nothing wrong with the deal but then again i am neither the leader of the Vitae nor the one with the most to gain from this deal in terms of monetary value. I believe that is you two. I am simply here to make sure neither of you try to kill eachother..." He coughed though the word again seemed to have been held iin the cough. A small AI was laughing where the fox and the woman could not hear her.

[member="Vulpesen"] [member="Solan Charr"]

"So we have an accord then?" Taeli asked, smiling internally but keeping a strict poker face now while they finalized business. The Vitae might be small still, but she hoped the galactic power might start seeing some growth eventually. Yes, she wanted her company to thrive here, but she also considered these two people friends and wanted to see their new government thrive.

He grinned, far more expressive than the other end of the business deal in this meeting. Though, in lieu of recent events, this was one of the people he didn't expect to screw hi over in a deal. At least, not intentionally. "Seems like it. I look forward to the future of this business and may your products serve well in keeping my people alive."
