"Gah!" Vera exclaimed as she made her next move in the little board game she was playing with Kahlil Noble . Mom was going to join as well but had told them to already play one quick game, and Vera wasn't holding back. Whether her dad was playing seriously or not, she didn't know at all. But as far as she was concerned, this was a serious battle she had to win. Her parents had taught her not to be competitive and care about winning as a Jedi, but right now she wasn't playing as a Jedi.
This was her game.
"Babe..." Valery's voice trembled, as she stepped out of the bathroom and into the hallway. Her eyes were filled with tears of joy, and she seemed overwhelmed by the news she was wanting to share. But before she could, Vera looked over and blinked. The fact that her mother was crying didn't seem to bother her at all — she felt happy, so there had to be a good reason for the tears.
No, Vera felt something else.
"Daddy, there is someone inside of mommy," she said flatly while she pointed at her mom.
Valery cried out a chuckle, shook her head in an amused manner, and shuffled her way over with the pregnancy test in her hand. She could already faintly feel something through the Force, but this simple tool just confirmed it all to her. Once she made her way over, Valery looked for his embrace and held him while she enjoyed the fact that she was able to tell him this time. That he was here, and that Vera was with them as well.
"I'm pregnant," she said softly.
