Zendaya waited within her cafe, nervous. Recently, she had been contacted by -- of all things -- an older brother whom she'd never known. They had talked a bit, with the two doing some research and realizing they weren't the only offspring of the Selahs, the (as Zen liked to think of it) Jedi Power Couple. Eventually, they decided that a reunion was in order and soon settled on using the diner.
She was the only living soul within the building -- Sham, Nien, and Cran had all been given a day off. Thus, as she cleaned the bar top for the thousandth time, Zen was left to her own private thoughts -- thoughts which were most interesting.
On one hand, Zen was excited. She'd never known she had had siblings, and now she was getting to meet her brothers! The woman found herself hoping they liked her quaint little diner; it was, after all, her baby.
On the other hand, though...she didn't want to see her parents. After all, they had made it clear when she was born that they didn't care. The familiar wave of resentment washed throughout her, and she fought to keep it down. Get a grip, woman! Zen scolded herself. You're thirty years old. Let bygones be bygones! Letting out a sigh, she continued to clean, and straighten, and do everything else to make sure everything was spotless in her diner as she awaited the arrival of her family.
Alright, Zen. Deep breaths. Don't die before they get here.
