A Family Reunion

Coruscant

Leo couldn’t believe he was seeing her again, after all this time. His cousin, [member="Alice Tarr"]. Gusts of wind swept his hair as he watched, perched on a rooftop high in the Coruscant skyline. He used his mask to zoom in on her features, those hazel brown eyes, the straight, brunette hair. Leo was almost certain this was the girl he had grown up with after his parents left, the girl who tried to make it on her own after her parents, his uncle and aunt, had been assassinated. Of course, she couldn’t have known that Leo had caught the assassin, and know knew the party that ordered the death of their family, but damn she was gonna help him get a little payback.

Leo stood, balancing on the edge of the building as he surveyed the skyline. The lights of the city dancing in the abyss of night as people began stumbling home from a night of drinking and partying. She was exiting a cantina, eyes focused downwards on some data-board. He spied a blaster at her waist, smart girl, he thought to himself as he loosened up, leaping to the next building. She was gonna be in for one hell of a surprise.

As Alice concealed the datapad in her coat she wrapped it around tight around her body, also concealing the blaster pistol. She held her grip around her coat as she slowly walked down the eerily quiet Coruscant street.

Leo kept his eyes fixed on Alice as he dashed across the rooftops, his agile body graciously twisting and flipping through the air and upon the hard steel with ease. Slowly declining down the buildings until he reached the dirty backstreets, the dim lights illuminating the trash and grime left behind by the populace of the city, and endless cycle of rinse and repeat.

A hint of curiosity seeped into Leo's mind as he began to tail his cousin, he wanted to see where she was going before he approached her and told her what had happened. His honed stealth skills meant that she would never even catch wind of his presence as he stalked from afar, nor recognise him due to the mask he donned.

Alice slowly reached a transport before climbing in, paying the driver and began speeding through Coruscant towards a landing pad. During the journey Alice took the datapad back out, bringing up a list of Coruscant and Alderaan socialite families.

Between glances of the datapad Alice took in the hustle and bustle around her, it mesmerised her.

Slowly the transport came to a stop, Alice climbed out and began slowly walking towards her ship.

Alice entered a speeder and took off. Leo had no means of keeping up, his only option was to hitch a ride. Thinking quickly, he darted forward, getting under the speeder just in time to lodge one of his knives deep into the metal of the under-side before it took off, clinging on as they flew. What a strange sight it must've been, somebody hanging from the undercarriage of a speeder as they pierced through the busy night, but weirder thing have happens on the streets of Coruscant. The blade began to loosen in the metal of the speeder, so Leo retrieved another one from his trench-coat and drove it in, parallel to the first, making as less noise as he could so not as to spook the driver and cause any unwanted injuries, his lightweight frame preventing him from plummeting to his death. Of all the things Leo had planned on happening tonight, this wasn't on the agenda.

Alice slowly climbed the boarding ramp to her ship, removing her coat as she did. Preparing to breathe in the sights of the city one last time she took a glance from a window, spotting someone clinging to the underside of a transport. This alarmed her.

Alice's track records with abnormal transports weren't good. She scurried through her expansive ship up into the cockpit and began preparing the ship for launch. During this process she inserted a cable into the datapad she had been using and was now viewing the families on a larger monitor.

Leo waited as Alice boarded a small freighter, peering out the window directly at him. Well, now was as good a time as any. He pried his knives from the hull of the speeder and strode over to the ship, his footsteps making no sound as he casually stalked upon the ramp. Laying his gloved hand upon the closed metal door, he rasped out a little tune on the ship, a confident grin sweeping across his face as he waited for his cousin. Of course it was more of a facade, he hadn't seen her i years and was nervous as to her reaction when he revealed himself and told her the news, these brief moments of waiting seeming like hours of tension and anxiety.

Slowly the mobile turrets of Alice's ship lock onto him.

"Identify yourself" Alice screeches as tension rises, completely oblivious as to who it is.

Leo's grin turned towards the cockpit, "Dont'cha recognise your own cousin?" He said aloud, silently hoping his cousin hadn't forgotten his to the point where she would blast him to pieces with those turrets. Of course, she hadn't seen him in years and Leo didn't blame her at all for not recognizing his scraggly face, amongst the mat of tangled hair that covered most of his features. They had both grown and changed so much over the past few years, but while Alice had kept herself neat and clean with the fortune of their family, Leo had become an unkempt mess, sleeping where he could.

The turrets of Alice's craft quickly lose any interest in Leo and the boarding ramp slowly lowers.

Alice sits in the bridge, her seat turned to the face the door he will enter through. Sat in a tense position, she waits.

The turrets returned to their original position and Leo strode forward, into the bridge of the ship, the door slowly opening to permit him entry. She was sitting in a chair facing him as he entered, attempting to look as overbearing as possible and not doing a very good job at it. "Alice." He said with a more sincere smile this time, "It's been awhile. How've you been all these years?"
