A fateful encounter.

"What am I doing here?" He thought to himself as he walked though the city streets. The whole asobi system was controlled by the jedi and while he didn't bare any ill will against them he was, at a very brief point in his life, a sith. Jedi could tell if you had the dark-side in you so Kayden assumed he'd be arrested or killed on the spot if any jedi found him. So what exactly was he doing here then? Why could possibly bring him here? Well funny story that, something he couldn't explain, you could call a gut feeling or you could call it the force but something was drawing Kayden here much to his dismay.

To give credit where credit was due it wasn't like he was marching around in black robes with a lightsaber where everyone could see it. Rather he tried his best to make himself look as normal as possible, he wore civilian clothes, he hid his red eyes under a pair of sunglasses and his lightsaber in his jacket. He might look a little odd but at least normal people wouldn't panic the instant they saw him. And he had another reason to be there in case anyone asked, his old, rusted husk of a ship needed repaired and resupplied. Shri-Tal was a huge trading hub so he'd be able to either find what he needed or find a better ship here.

There was a lot here on Shri-Tal, working with the leaders on the world itself here. Working with the jedi and their guardians she had been seeing all of it. Jedi were here and all around the twilight sepulcher. They had worked on expanding it across the planet to better show and allow the jedi to train. The silver jedi here on the world had been working hard for years when she saw the massive trading hub of the moon where everyone was milling about. Staying there where she wanted to see more of it, the ships coming in and Saotome had here on the marketplace the different ships they were selling to the people. Different supplies when some were bringing to them rarities from around the galaxy including some trinkets from older jedi temples. The jedi master was looking at them and the massive storefront here for all to see looked fairly impressive and beneficial for thos ewanting just about anything.

Soon Kayden found himself heading to that very same storefront. Yet another "gut feeling" of his. As he continued he couldn't help but feel nervous. He started to scan all the people he saw for any sign that they were a jedi, not that he had any idea what he was looking for aside from making sure they didn't have lightsabers on their belts. He figured they'd stand out in some way. Little did he know that he was the one who stood out.

Kayden's time with the sith was indeed brief and rather unhelpful. His former mentor was a more of a military man then a actual sith and that had a large effect on Kayden's training. Sith philosophy, mental protection, how to sense the force in others, how to keep others from sensing you, such "trivial" things were barely touched upon if not completely forgotten about in his training in exchange for attempting to force discipline upon him and teaching him how to fight. Shortly his training begun the One Sith fell apart and Kayden took advantage of this to escape.

And now here he was, this... strange product of fate, simultaneously aware and ignorant of the force. He stood out in the force but not as much as a true sith or dark jedi would have and since he was completely unaware of the jedi masters presence, it was only a matter of time before the two ran into eachother.

As Kayden continued to explore he couldn't help but be awed by the city. He had not been to a true city since he left Alderaan half a year ago. He had tried to avoid places like this after escaping but seeing how busy the place was reminded him of how busy and alive nighttime cities like this could be. Lights were flashing in the sky above him as ship were flying above the city, arriving and leaving almost all the time, the building and signs glowed brilliantly, compared to where he's been this place was like a dream. If only he could enjoy his time there. He was too busy worrying about a chance encounter and trying to figure out why he was there (Aside from repairs of course) to indulge himself in whatever nightlife the city had to offer. A true shame too as this city place looked rather fun to Kayden.

Matsu continued to look around and make sure everything in the store itself was going well. She hadn't been working or preparing. Instead they had been working on many other things and it gave her a chance to be like a fly on the wall seeing how to merchant biots preformed in their place. Able to handle and haggle the different prices to give the people what they needed for their own stuff. The nightlife on the moon was different compared to the planet below as it was full of bars and districts of atrisian's who could do a great deal. matsu spent most of her time as the Saori host club a place where the women they managed to rescue could work and make a livin while learning their skills. The problem with well resucing slaves... is they have been slaves... they might have been born itno it and not have any other knowledge but that. They wouldn't know what to do so she gave them a chance to learn new skills like waitressing, singing, bartending. Something simple and a way to make their own credits while living in hotels. A smile on her face while she walked around

Kayden took a pause in front of a building. Saroi host club the place was apparently called. "Heh... Looks like a classy place. Sure, why not?" He said to himself as he walked towards the front door.

Matsu sat there at one fo the smaller tables so she could look over at what they had. There was some interest, some people going around so that they would all be able to eat and have a drink. The different entertainers were setting up here. The hardlight outfits that they would be able to use in here with the fresh packs when she got a small cup of tea and some of the food. A nice little meal that they were all setting up before the displays changed locations and allowed the people to have a new location for sitting around the room. Views from a different city and of a different skyline that was of interest. The music soft and nice to have in the club.

Once he was inside Kayden finally started to calm down. This place had a very relaxing and friendly vibe which was probably one of the reasons why it was so popular. However as he looked around for a place to sit he felt something bugging him again. Every time he picked a seat he felt a little voice in the back of his head going "No. Not that one." This continued for a while as Kayden kept looking around, he was asked several times if he was looking for something just to add further embarrassment to the fact that he had no idea what he was doing. Finally feat up with himself Kayden decided that no matter what, the next empty chair he saw would be the chair he sat down in. And so he did, finally. unfortunately when he looked up he saw that while the seat was empty, the table was not.

A man approached Matus' table and a sat down in the empty chair across from her, The man looked rather strange, he wore sunglasses even though it was nighttime and he was inside. Once he looked up he noticed he prescience and his face blushed with embarrassment as he quickly stood back up. "O-oh god! I'm so sorry! I didn't see you there. I-Is it alright if I sit down?" He said.

Matsu looked at the man who came and he spoke quickly as she was looking at him. "it is alright, sit breathe, be calm." She was trying not to do that nervous chuckle for herself where looking around when he was sitting down but he seemed strange. Her eyes were watching him until her attention was on getting another cup of tea for hi. the calming energies from it and hopefully from the others here in the room should give him what it was that he needed. "I am jedi master Matsu Ike. What is your name?" She was curious about him and wanting to know about all of it until she crossed her hands over in her lap staying there to watch him and the others on the stage.

"J..Jedi... M-Master?" He repeated... Sweat started rolling down his face as he tried to force himself to smile unconvincingly. "H...H... Hi. I-I'm uhhh K-Kayden Ouron." The words stumbled out of his mouth. Oh man I am so screwed! How did I get into this mess? How do I get out of this? His inner thought of panic weren't helping him either. He then realized how he must of looked. Alright man calm down. If I start panicking for no good reason I'm just going to look suspicious and cause more problems. Just act cool, act causal, don't say anything you can't prove later. He then took a deep breath. "Sorry I'm so nervous, I've just.. never met a jedi before."

Matsu was looking at him as he seemed nervous, worried and she was remaining there with a look on her face until she was sticking around. A few more ideas on her mind when she realized his last name and kept the surprise off of her face. Couldn't be could it.... Ouron was not a common name she could think about in some of the things... She would have to work on it and provide herself with a few more ideas. "Ouron huh." She said it staying there and her face was blank but there was some amusement for her in this situation. unsure if he had found her by the will fo the force or if he had managed to find her by complete accident and the will of the force. "My padawan's last name is Ouron. How very curious."

Kayden was very surprised to hear that. A Ouron a jedi? No way, it couldn't be right? His worries suddenly vanished as he started trying to think of who this person could be. Kayden was aware that he had some extended family he had never met before but his family on his dad's side were from Corella, they were smugglers for the thrill of it from what he heard. They'd hate the idea of giving up that life for... whatever it was jedi did. So that left his family, James' his father had respect for the jedi but also expressed his desire to never let himself or his kids become a jedi as he saw as no different then being a soldier so the young man could scratch his dad off the list. Kathrine, his mother said she wanted to be a jedi when she was younger but now wasn't willing to give up her family life so if she was still alive she'd likely have tried to get back to Alderaan like Kayden was trying to do now that things have calmed down in that area.

That just leaves... Oh god no! Kayden's hidden eyes widened, was it Claire? Unfortunately she was probably the most likely person to do it. His little sister was always a girl with a heart too big for her own good. The jedi liked to promote the idea that their out to help everyone, something Claire has always tried to do, but they were always engaged in some sort of war with the sith. Those monsters... if Claire was dragged into that battle.. she was no fighter, she'd be killed or worse, captured and turned into one of them like he almost was. Please tell me I'm wrong about this...

"You...You're parther.. what's their name?"

Matsu was looking at him as he seemed to be thinking about ti and there was something in his aura of surprise then wonder and finally he seemed to guess or have an idea of who it might be. That could be a dangerous thing before the jedi master was allowing her force senses to tingle when she spoke. "My padawan's name is claire but somehow I am guessing you knew that." She was looking to see what they might be able to do here. Letting the force energies go outwards as she leaned back sipping at the tea for a moment using the force to warm it up and let it steam a little in her hands with the sugar and some of the scent going to her nistrils.

And with that, his fears were confirmed. "You... You just let that happen?" Kayden asked her, anger was starting to build inside of him. "You let... a 14 year old girl.. My littler sister.. In on your.. your great crusade, is that what I'm hearing!?" He was starting to draw attention to himself not that he cared in that moment. All he could think about was how this woman could let his little sister take part in something so dangerous.

Matsu was looking at him while she could feel the anger and she sat there. "I didn't bring her towards the jedi path. I found her and offered her guidance for her choices. She has been kept out of most combat." Matsu remained there when she was thinking about it. Claire was a padawan and she had some skill where they might be able to really do anything. Sitting there so she could get a moment. "Careful, violence in places like this is not a good idea. The bodyguards are very focused on wanting to protect the entertainers."

"Most!?" Kayden growled. Ignoring the rest of what she had to say. "Oh so it's okay if she get a little hurt? A little scared for her life? What if she had been killed or taken by those sith freaks!?" His thoughts lingered on that , Kayden was well aware of the gruesome things that happened under sith training. It made you wish you were dead. He barely got out with his sanity intact. The thought of his little sister going though that was too much for him to bare. He had enough of this. Claire's safety was in jeopardy if she stayed with these people. "Where is she? I'm talking her home where it's safe!"

Matsu raised an eyebrow watching him and she spoke remaining calm and passive looking where she would be able to. "Calm yourself, if you go storming into a jedi temple like that it will only attract the attention of the guards themselves." The temple guards were not exactly the most forgiving, their job was to protect the jedi and usual interaction was stop whoever if they couldn't be reasoned with by a jedi and calmed down. Matsu remained there. "Besides the temple si on the planet, right now you are on the moon, you can't get there any faster being angry then you can if you are calm."

Well... she had a point there. If he just marched up to the jedi temple the way he was right now they'd probably smack him silly and lock him up if they were in a really good mood. For now at least he knew where she was and that for the moment she was safe. He took a deep breath to try and calm himself down. "How is she...?" He asked as he sat back down.

There we go, Matsu wa slooking at him so that she would be able to just breathe easily. The Saori houses were made for people but they also housed jedi who had more skills when it came to investigation and technical aspects. Allowing them a place to meet and decompress without risking drinks or dangers of other bars so her hand motioned some of them off. "She is doing well." She had trained her and workied to make sure Claire knew a good deal, hopefully her skills in how to resist the darkside and not let it influence her would be there otherwise she would be upset and have to smack a little sense into her padawan as she had done some of the other who liked going darkside.

Well that was a relief. At least she was doing well as far as they were both aware. Well what now...? He thought to himself. Well I could try to fly down to the planet and ask to see her but something tells me it'd go over poorly. Besides as long as I've got these left over dark side powers.. she'll probably be scared of me. Hey wait a minute! This is my chance, maybe I can finally get rid of this. Kayden suddenly looked up. stuck with a idea. "Matsu right? Has there ummm... how to word this... has there ever been somebody who's broken free of the dark side before?"

Her eyebrow raised looking at him with that, breaking free from the darkside wasn't some big test. It wasn't something like getting divorced and having to pay alimony. no it was just trying to not use it and work well. "Yes there have been plenty, it is not something great or grand one must do they just stop using the darkside and look for inner peace." Staying there she would be able to continue sitting. "This entertainment district isn't the best place for that but it does serve as a powerful place of emotion and the entertainers learn several skills that can help them find jobs elsewhere. it is why the jedi set it up to teach and train any number of former slaves."
