A few questions about backgrounds.

I'm making this characters bio right now but I need a bit of help. I'm not sure where she should come from. Kaia is one of those "warriors with honor and grace" kind of characters so Mandalorians sound like they'd fit but I don't know much about them, especially in the context of this RP. So here's what I need, What are the Mandalorians like? What have they been up too lately? Is there another "Group of honorable warriors" out there in case they don't work? Thanks guys.

You should look at the local Mandos - stalk them, or just read some comics and act like a Mando all on your own. Don't need any guidelines for this kind of stuff.

There are loads of warrior centric races in Star Wars. There are of course the Sith, The Echani, The Sunguard, The Manadalorians, and probably quite a few others outside of them. I can't really describe a Mandalorian as the material containing them is so different. Each one is unique to themselves. For example Shynn was one of the Mandalore's and was a smooth talker, while Boba Fett was more a strategist and kept to himself. It all depends on how you want to write them. As long as they follow the code of honor and care about Mandalore and its people I think you should be fine. Recommend Hapan, Echani, or Jedi myself. Mando culture is a bit viking for the whole "honor and grace" thing. Though, it is do'able. Also, Wookieepedia is a great reference for SW cultures.

Much like [member="Jay Scott Clark"] said it sounds like you are looking at either Echani, Jedi/Sith or Mando.

Most Echani were born on Eshan and trained as part of the culture to fight. If you want to go Echani I have one, [member="Cole Dagos"] who would be more than willing to mentor.


Mando's can be from pretty much anywhere. Pick a planet on the map that is in Mando territory and roll from there. http://starwarsrp.net/page/articles.html/_/map/

Oddly enough a few Mando players are looking for family members and clan members.



Of course for the Force Sensitive character concepts Jedi, and Sith are always options.

Interesting. I looked it up and it seems Echani is more along the lines of what I'm wanting. Would it be possible to be adopted into the Echani?

I guess it is. I mean anyone can be adopted.

I have not seen or heard of any cases of Echani adopting but then again this is Chaos and we tend to be a little liberal with such things. If you want pm me on Cole and we can toss ideas back and forth.
