Aldous Hofmann
Pilot, Welder, Troublemaker
Aldous began his weekend as he always did when he was in a city for more than three weeks. He dipped into his stash and took a night out on the town, ignoring all local laws and common sense. It was truly the only way he could tolerate staying in a truly modern area without exposure to real nature for any extended period of time. It mimicked the vibration he felt constantly when he was on a world where the force was still in it's purer form, largely untouched by the fires of industry and the ambitions of sentient species. Where life teemed and went about it's course uninterrupted. There was still enough merit in civilization to keep him working and preventing him from simply running off into the Outer Rim to live as a hermit.
Barely.
Just barely.
He currently sat in the booth of a cantina in an section of the city he'd never explored, enjoying the nice hum that was reverberating through the air as a local musician sat strumming a stringed instrument on a small stage. Aldous again became keenly aware of the sharp, electric smell of ozone that was moving into the air, he'd come straight from work to the cantina without changing clothes. The thought of the bright arc still sat in his mind, moving itself along at a perfect speed.
The force heightened as his senses did.
It reminded him of Kashyyyk.
A small smile settled over his lips as he thought of what a pleasant night this had the potential to be. A rare feeling overtook the intensely introverted man, the need to socialize. Odd. He wondered how whoever he decided to talk to would interpret his words. Whether they'd really understand them.
Hmm.
