Aithne Charr

Torn and mended, that weave of Sinew.
Churning the waters of life through oneself,
Influenced by the emotions of its own."

Intent: A Crystal to improve Solan's Control of Plantsurge.
Development Thread: A Gardener's Jewel... (Cut the dev down to 34 posts rather than 100, hope its enough.)
Production Information:
Manufacturer: Solan Charr
Model: N/A
Affiliation: Charr
Modularity: No
Production: Unique
Material: Natural Crystal with Force Imbuement and Bonding to Solan
Technical Specifications:
Description: The crystal is about the size of a baseball, in terms of being able to hold it in one's hand and holds no truly special characteristics on its own, but because of the alterations to it through the force and because of Solan's own actions, the crystal gives a much more imposing place in the force. It is almost as if it remained an entirely separate being as it would appeara to have a Force Signature of its own, but also remarkably close to Solan's own signature because of the facts around its creation and how Solan had basically put a part of himself onto it. This means that the crystal would appear to even be him to those who know him well enough, and to those that do not, it would seem like there were two of the same unknown signature.
AS another result of his own actions, the crystal's sole purpose is to only improve his plantsurge, any other ability will not activate the crystal and as such, any other ability will be without a change in his own abilities. This makes it a single purpose crystal and a single purpose boost. Further though, the crystal gives off a distinct signature of its own and creates what is essentially its own place in the force and even to the point of appearing to be its own person at a first glance. This is because of the specific bonds (As mentioned above) but those bonds would have a secondary effect unknown to even solan at the time of its creation, he would be the only one who could use it. In the cases of others taking up the crystal and focusing the force through it, they would instead suffer a backlash as if the Crystal denied their power, a larger strain on the person in question, or nothing at all.
On the deathbed of Solan Charr, the Gem was restructured in his final moments, retaining his spirit and transferring its command to his successor, giving her, and only her, its benefits. The Gem would continue to operate as normal from this point on, but would no longer answer to Solan and only to the new owner, who goes by the name of Charr.
Strengths and Weaknesses:
Strengths:
- Plantman: As part of the entire intent of the crystal, it is merely meant to boost Solan's abilities with Plantsurge alone and as such, it is far less versatile but makes up for that with much more power focused into that one point. That focus is Plantsurge and only Plantsurge, so with that it gives a much more significant boost of power, growth rate to the effected plants and overall makes the strain on Solan in growing the plants lessened. With its single focus, the sacrifice of true versatilty is replaced with superb efficiency from the Crystal.
- Easily Detectable: With this stone it is nearly impossible to be discrete or stealthy, considering that it is like a beacon in the force and as such would make stealth extremely unlikely while holding the crystal with him. This means without his entire focus on shielding the crystal, it is impossible to hide it with the force or by any other means and will be sensed.
- A Shard of One's Self: As part of the creation of the Crystal itself, Solan had tied it to his being and to his memories. In accordance with that, it means the destruction of the crystal, or even separation from it, would create an obvious rift in the Solan's personality and create an erratic or even broken form of the man that he normally is, thus being directly connected to his personal mental state.
