A Grand Tour

Alor of Clan Gred, Mando'ad'jetii
An MC-18, the Basilisk, landed carefully at a landing pad in the capitol city of Mandalore. Inside, Mig Gred got ready to meet with his good friend, [member="Beth Cadera"] . A while ago she had offered to give him a tour of the capitol, so the Alor figured he'd take her up on that offer. Mig had begun to come to Mandalore more often, some a tour of her sights was probably a good idea.

He only wore some basic clothing today, but he still slipped on his Trayc'kad, then looked at the Echani blade that had been given to him. He always seemed to question wearing the blade, mostly because he didn't want Echani to think he stole it, but here on Mandalore...? Well, he could at least tell Beth the story behind it. She knew him well enough to know what he would and wouldn't do. And now, he just had to wait.

Beth was more than excited when she heard that @Mig Greg would be visiting Mandalore - and taking Beth's offer for a tour up. Her good friend and trainer, she couldn't wait to see him again. In the excitement, Beth hastily made an itinerary for the tour. Beth, though, knew she would fall off course. She wasn't one that stuck to itineraries very well. But that didn't stop her from making a very graphical one that she sent to Mig a couple days before he would come.

Sundari was a beautiful, modern city with breathtaking views and many places to visit. Naturally, Beth would be showing him around some of her personal favorite areas first. Particularly, the most prestigious University in the capitol, the Ramikadyc'yaim. Beth herself was enrolled in the university, specifically within the Department of Biology and Medicine. Naturally, this is where Beth spends a lot of her free time and so will be the first place that she'd bring Mig.

Dressed in a floral pattern dress with a light coat, Beth arrived at the spaceport and found where Mig was waiting. With a bright grin, the young woman waved and ran towards him. Once she was at his side, she would embrace him in a quick, friendly hug. "Hey! Are you excited? How was the flight? I hope you got my itinerary... We don't have to follow it but... Welcome!!!"

Mig smiled when he saw [member="Beth Cadera"] walk up, and quickly hugged her back. She shot a few questions his way in quick secession. He couldn't help but let out a slight chuckle, speaking pretty quickly.

"Thanks, and the flight was good. R10 and O8 told me about a hundred stories of my ancestors I'd already heard, but still good." He then lifted up a datapad that he had, which showed the itinerary on it. "And I got a chance to look at it. Definitely a lot that I haven't seen before." He then looked to his hip, remembering the blade he had been given. "Also have a weapon with an interesting story behind it."

Beth realized she was probably a little excited. It wasn't everyday she was able to show off Sundari to someone she was close too. Especially her University! Or the Palace. Or the city in general, it's myriads of streets, commerce, and in general fun times.

People of all species, races, walked about. Some wore armor only. Others dressed more casually like [member="Mig Gred"] and Beth. Most people didn't really care one way or another - at least as far as Beth could tell. She chuckled at his comment about R10 and 08. "At least they won't let you forget," she teased.

She gave a small nod with a small beam of a smile. He actually looked at it! No one else looked at her itineraries. She perked a brow as she looked at his hip, "Oh? It actually looks a bit familiar."

Mig smiled a bit, nodding as he noticed the droids in the cockpit.

"Yeah. I'm definitely not forgetting anything with them around." He could tell that she was surprised by the fact that he actually looked through her itinerary. Most people probably didn't really care about them, but she took the time to make it so he didn't want to be rude and not read it. He then pulled the blade out, not too surprised that [member="Beth Cadera"] seem to recognize the blade. He spoke, his voice betraying the importance of what he did.

"When I went back to Eshan, I met an Echani jetii padawan. We did't really fight, just talked. She lost her family during the chaos of our first visit, and we could at least agree that the battle was doing more harm then good." Mig then took a breath, some pain coming back up. "I gave her my cousins Trayc'kal. A sort of... I guess a sorry for all that happened, plus some protection from other Mandalorians. She took it, then surprised me by giving me her brothers' Vibrosword. A bit of peace in the middle of that dang battle."

Beth chuckled at his comment about his droids. She should get some droids. Or some kind of pet. It was lonely, sometimes. Her family was often in the Sundari Palace, but often times they were on Westralis or elsewhere. Sometimes due to school, or work, or some other obligation she was required to stay - or go to Concordia.

With a perked brow, she examined the vibroblade that Mig pulled out. It was familiar, but she in truth couldn't place it. Echani padawan. She had a friend who was one. And lost family? "Did you catch her name?" Beth asked, her face scrunched in thought. Surely, it couldn't be. The galaxy was much too big for that. "Awe..." She sighed as she thought back on the invasion. University kept her from the battle, "It was bad business, all of it," she muttered.

"That is crazy amazing, though. Maybe it'll come back to pay us in good deeds. Like some kind of good karma."

[member="Mig Gred"]

Mig nodded when asked if he caught her name. "Padawan Kat Decoria. She lost her brothers and brother-in-law." The Mando'ad'jetii then slide the blade back on his belt. He couldn't help but agree with her about the business of Eshan. It was an osik feast for sure. He did flash a smile when Beth suggested that maybe they'd get some good karma or something for this. He then looked out to Sundari.

"Hopefully. At the very least, she know not all of us wanted what happened."

[member="Beth Cadera"]

Beth gave a smile at the mention of Kat’s name. She was a good person and one of the few people Beth would consider a close friend. “Kat Decoria, wow. The galaxy isn’t as big as you’d think.” She shook her head for a moment. “Sucks, all of it,” she muttered before shaking off the feelings.

“Yeah. Well, let’s get going then? We got lots to see and we’re already past the first time on the itinerary!” With that in mind, she grabbed [member="Mig Gred"] and started dragging him off towards the University – there first stop.

Mig smiled a bit when he heard [member="Beth Cadera"] repeat Kat’s name. She apparently knew the Echani as well, but her good mood soon when back to the hurt that the battles at Echan brought. She was right. Nothing about that battle felt right honestly. The Alor sighed before nodding to his friend’s comment.

“Yeah. At least it wasn’t all horrible. Meeting someone else who’d rather talk then fight was nice.”

The Mandalorian soon smiled again as he heard Beth, and felt her tugging him along. He chuckled, saying “Alright” as he was led to their first stop. The University. Mig has wondered how it would look in real life, as apposed to pictures. Soon, he got his answer as he was looking a The buildings that made up the place. “Dang.”

She gave a nod to [member="Mig Gred"]. “War, it usually doesn’t bring the invaders, at least on the frontlines, much joy either.” Nonetheless, war was a part of the galaxy at large. Casualties happened all the time. Heck, there was always some battle going on.

She sighed a little as they made their way to the Ramikadyc’yaim. As they entered the main hall, Beth gave a big grin to Mig. “Mo-, er, Yasha founded this right after the civil war. It’s hugeeee and luckily became one of the spotlight universities in the Clans.” She said as she stopped as several walkways were around them. “We can start at the library, or if you’re hungry there is the cafeteria. Or we can just skip to the dorms. Kinda can’t show you inside though, I don’t live there anymore.”

Mig simply nodded at [member="Beth Cadera"] 's comment before she led him to the Ramikadyc’yaim. It was just incredible! There definitely wasn't anything like this on Concord Dawn. He was just amazed by everything when Beth asked him where he wanted to go. He looked over, not sure what to say. "I honestly done know. I wouldn't know where to begin."

Beth chuckled at [member="Mig Gred"]. He really had no idea. Had he ever been to a place like this, before? She gave a nod, “Well… My favorite place is the library, so let’s go there first?” She said with a smile as she began to lead him in that direction.

Have you ever been to a place like this?” She asked somewhat absent-mindedly during their walk to the library. As she opened a large door, they would enter the library. A sign clearly stated ‘Please be quiet’ in Mando’a right at the entrance. Tables upon tables with students diligently working, with tall, large bookcases.

Of course, some were filled with datapads. Others had old fashioned, paper books. Those were her favorites, personally.

Mig was still looking around in awe as he followed her. He then looked at [member="Beth Cadera"] when she asked if he had seen a place like this before. The man shook his head, thinking. "Nope. Only ever traveled around the Outer Rim, so never really come anywhere like this." The Mandalorian then looked at the library, amazed by all the knowledge that was before his eye. "Wow..."
