A Guest of the Republic [Trasker | Graves]

The Republic Judiciary Central Detention Centre
The Governor of the Republic Judiciary Central Detention Centre had contacted the G.I.A, the Jedi Order and the Coruscant Security Force to aid in the transfer of a prisoner from the main detention centre to Centax-1 Maximum Correctional. The prisoner in question .. I-9080 is a female Dark Jedi incarcerated for several counts of murder and sentenced to the term of her natural life.

The reason for the transfer is that she has been involved in dissension and cause riots within the prison among the other inmate. All attempts to subdue her have failed, as she is highly gifted in the use of persuasion through the use of the force. She has incited inmates to riot and murder and even suicide ..and so it is a necessity to move her to more secure quarters on Centax-1.

Coci waits on the land pad on the upper most level of the Detention Centre, this area is used to bring in and remove prisoners as required, it is a safe and secure checking point before release or incarceration. It is here she is to meet the Jedi assigned to this mission and the Officer from the CSF. However, she is not privy to who they might be and therefore knows nothing of their identities.

She looked at her chronometer on her wrist, the prisoner is due for transfer in twenty minutes.

CSF Agent Ben Trasker stuck to the skyline of Galactic City with his target in sight; the ominous looking Republic Judiciary Central Detention Centre. A building formed of cylindrical and spherical design that housed the most violent and dangerous criminals the galaxy had to offer.

Piloting a CSF cruiser steadily, Trasker looked around his surroundings in the bright morning sun, reflecting through the maze of Coruscant's tall buildings and speeders going about their daily commute. It was always such a peaceful city on the surface, and it was a shame there were those that tried to plague it from underneath.

He veered slightly left to come down on the Detention Centre and the upper most landing pad where he was assigned to meet his contact for his latest assignment.

All he knew was he was participating in a prisoner transfer from the Detention Centre to the formidable maximum security facility Centax-1, on the moon itself above the planet. If he was involved in a prisoner transfer with the aide of a G.I.A officer and a Jedi Warrior, or Knight, or whatever they called themselves, it was serious.

Still, shouldn't be anything he hadn't experienced before in his years keeping the galaxy safe.

Sending the cruiser into a small dive, he approached the landing platform and noticed a lone figure waiting. He worked the yoke and brought the cruiser gently down on the outer platform, deactivating the thrusters and checking his chrono; bang on time.

He kicked the door open upwards with his boot and slid out. He glanced over to the figure who was watching him. Didn't look like a G.I.A officer or Jedi. Probably one of the Governor's aides. Trust the CSF to be there first and foremost.

He smiled as he reached into the cruiser and pulled out his blast vest which he lifted on over his charcoal CSF tunic and clipped into place. Next came the DC-15s sidearm which he holstered on his right thigh, followed by a concussion and frag grenade on his left hip.

Noticing the blast helmet on the passenger seat, he went to grab it, but decided against it. This wasn't going to be a riot exactly. He pulled down the door, shutting it firmly.

Looking around as he walked forward to meet the aide, his planet Coruscant kissed him gently with a small, cool breeze.

"Coruscant Security Force agent Ben Trasker, reporting to the Governor as requested," Trasker offered a small smile and held out his CSF ID holo-card. "A pleasure to meet you, Miss...?"

A prisoner transfer... not really the kind of mission that a Jedi was usually sent to handle. In fact, he didn't even handle these kind of situations as a contractor in the Republic Military. And he remembered that he had a couple of missions where he was practically sent to deal with a couple of bounties...

Still, the prisoner was a sensitive target with connection to the darkside. No wonder why Coruscant Security and the G.I.A. asked the assistance of the Jedi Order for such transfer.

Today, Vexander decided to show up in his Jedi Robes due to the nature of the mission. Normally, he would have liked to dress his Covert 7 or his other set of robes... but different missions with different priorities required a more traditional approach.

Looking at his chrono, the corellian noticed that he was kinda late, and no wonder why; the streets of Coruscant were crowded and highly populated and he decided to walk. Nevertheless; he arrived late based on normal standards since he noticed that there was still time left until the transfer was due to start.

At the moment he arrived, the young man's chest began to feel warm as he noticed a lady he knew quite a bit: @[member="Coci Sinopi"]. She was dressed in her normal clothes and she looked as beautiful as ever. Still, his face didn't reveal any of his feelings thanks to his serious demeanor and behavior along with his Jedi training.

Arriving at the site, he noticed what seemed to be an Officer from the Coruscant Security Force. Someone he actually didn't know but that seemed quite capable... he would get to know him further afterall, Vex expected the ride to be boring and the mission tedious. In an attempt to reveal himself before surprising anyone, he announced himself a few meters away from them.

"Greetings officers, I believe an introduction is needed from me as well." with a small bow and with his fingers entangled between each other, he tried to present no threat at all "My name is Vexander Graves. Knight of the Order."

The corellian Knight didn't try to look straight to the eye of Coci, they were on duty and he knew that she would like to be focused in the task at hand... in fact, they both would be with their minds in the mission... that is what they learned to do as marksmen.

The voice came from nowhere, which made Trasker jump inside, as he was sure the pad was clear except from the woman on arrival. He turned to greet the voice which belonged to this Jedi, a very reasonable looking man and not what he had expected from one of their breed.

"Trasker. Coruscant Security. Pleasure to meet you, Jedi. Funny to think eons ago our boys were tasked to wipe out your kind! Glad that's all in the past now, right?"

He regretted the ice-breaker comment the moment he said it. Silence seemed to drown him for what felt like a day.

"Looks like we are just waiting for our G.I.A operative and we are ready to move. Should be a walk in the park!"

He smiled and extended a hand to the Jedi, the small woman looking on.

Ben Trasker, now that name rang a bell. Before she would introduce herself, her mind searched for the answer, something about the name alerted her to the fact she might have met the man before, but no she would have recognised the face as he has distinctive features. A distance chiming of a comlink from one of the sentinel guards stations outside the main transfer doors brought back the memory. She had heard his name over the CSF channel the night of the riots in the lower levels on Coruscant. He is one of the high ups.

She was about introduce herself to him, but the arrival of another prevented that. A surge of emotions erupted within her as she recognised the force presence of Vexander approaching. Her head turned so see him walking toward them at a clipping pace, just for the briefest of moments she allowed her heart to swell with her feelings for him before she gathered herself and pushed them back into her heart to be locked there and remain.

In order to aid this she turned to Ben Trasker to introduce herself, "Coci Sinopi, G.I.A operative", she simply said. "Knight Graves, a pleasure to see you again", she allowed a slight smile.

The sentinel guards became active and prepared the main doors .. codes punched into the control panel and the doors began to slid open, the prisoner is only moments away to reach the landing platform. "Seems we are all assigned to his .. babysitting", she said. Although it did not escape her attention, that the fact they three of best from their respective organisations had been required to assist, it was clear to her this prisoner was not just a average criminal. This fact, put her on high alert.

His hand dropped slightly from the Jedi as the G.I.A operative revealed herself. So this was their third "man"? He wasn't a misogynist by any means, but for some reason he had expected a male officer to represent the G.I.A. Miss Sinopi looked too...too...delicate for what the G.I.A were tasked to do in the galaxy.

An embarrassing surprise to be sure. His head turned softly to her. His eyes flicked to the main doors as the activity began in delivering their prisoner.

"Coci. A pleasure. Apologies, I had no idea you were G.I.A. I think babysitting is the right word, but for three of us, it's going to be a big baby."

He rested his hands on the inside of his blast vest, rocking slowly on his boots. Coci mentioned "again" to the Jedi. Great, they'd crossed paths before. Hopefully in a good way.

"You two know each other?"

He didn't understand much about the Jedi Order and what they were now representing, but he knew they were powerful, and it seemed these two had a history of somewhat. Eyes back to the main door. Watching and waiting.

Babysitting... the beautiful dark haired lady was correct... however, there had to be a reason for the elite force to be assambled... but they all agreed that the target was a big fish.

The Knight looked at the door along with his companions. They were now just waiting for the prisoner. But in the meantime, they had a slightl moment to talk between each other. Looking at Coci briefly, with a serious demeanor; he proceeded to reply at the question from Ben "Well... we have been in a series of missions together..." said while he turned his attention once again to the door "...the Force draws us together without our knowledge sometimes..." and it was true, he had visions about many things through the Force, and several sentients were present in them... including Coci.

Analysing the situation briefly, the Jedi decided to determine a few things including the means of transport in order to carry out the transfer succesfully "If I may ask Agent Trasker, were you provided with a vessel to perform the transfer?"

Trasker could only nod at what Graves was saying. He had no idea how the Force powers worked, or how it brought people together, but he knew it allowed those who controlled it to be unnaturally powerful. He was wary of those with powers that made them almost God-like. Still, he knew what the Jedi stood for. He also knew of the evil that followed them.

He smiled, his eyes wandering around the platform and keeping an eye on the main doors behind them. Coci simply watched them both as the Jedi asked his question about transport, and it caught him off guard.

"Ah, well not exactly Master Jedi. I have a cruiser present which can carry one other passenger, that's all. I was under the impression the Detention Centre would have suitable transportation for a prisoner up to the moon. I can request additional support if you would feel at ease with it, but I think 3 of us will be enough." He smirked softly.

Looking at Coci and back at Graves, Trasker felt something in the air between them all, and it wasn't the breeze of Coruscant. It felt like something...else.

"There is no need for personal transport to be use", she said pointing toward a black transport ship approaching to land, the outside of the ship smooth and sleek .. the only feature different is the cockpit window which shines in the light .. on the side a board ramp .. an array of canons mounted on the top. The transport gracefully lands and the ramp is lowered immediately. Four fully armed guards exit the transport, totally covered in black armour and helmets, they have rifles loaded and in hand. The guards do not hesitate and walk to the main doors to await the prisoner.

Coci's eye brows raise at this sight, not because it looked imposing which it did, but more the need for such precautions .. she quickly reevaluated the situation, it is clear now this prisoner is highly dangerous. The main doors open and woman in black with long white hair emerges from the dark interior of the Detentions Centre.

Coci did not notice the lone figure approach them, her mind focused on the woman as she could feel the darkness around her, search out to all of them .. the wave of the darkside washed over her almost making her sick to the stomach. She immediately block her mind to the woman's intrusions.

"I believe you three have been sent to aid in this transfer, please board the prisoner transport immediately", the man said, then turned to go back to the ship. There shall be no more delay as transfer of prisoners can be the point .. the weakest in the plans .. for an escape attempt.

Coci noticed a smile on the woman's face, "I have a bad feeling about this", she said softly.

Trasker rocked on his boots, fingers tucked into his blast vest. Looking across the landing pad, he watched the sleek transport arrive as if almost on cue and followed the imposing looking guards to the door.

He cast his eye around, everything seemed normal. Nothing unusual. No loitering speeders. Good.

Looking back, the prisoner was on the move, and it surprised him.

She was sleek, quite tall but not very physically superior to probably any of them, even young Coci. If anything, she looked like a walking skeleton dressed in black with her white hair.

Trasker swallowed softly, trying to work out why this woman so dangerous she needed 3 figures from across the planet to escort her. Looking at the Jedi, his eyes were fixed on the prisoner. As for Coci, she looked disturbed, but focused.

As for the blunt instructions of the guard standing by them, Trasker didn't think he had any authority to order these 3 around just yet.

"We will wait for the prisoner first if you don't mind. We board when she boards, and even then it's under the watch of us. Your role in this transfer has already ended. Thanks." He batted the guard aside as he started to walk slowly around the group, just to be a visible presence between the prisoner and the transport.

He looked over at his two fellow enforcers and extended his hand out in front of him. "Shall we?."

The taint of the darkside was strong in that one. Vexander could feel it, and he didn't hide it from the others. "No wonder why we are needed" however, the Knight's face didn't even show a sign of hesitation in the task "This will be fun" said while the Coruscant Security Officer ordered the escort to deliver the package.

With a fixed gaze on the target, the young man reflected his clear disgust at the crimes commited and her affinity to the darkside... in another scenario, he would be trying to redeem her or he would be striking her down with his lightsaber... but this time he had directions from the Council...

Still, his presence through the Force was oblivious to her, he was masking his true power with a small amount of Force Concealment. Looking at Coci and Ben, the young man decided to speak up.

"I rather cover the rear..." his expertize was to be a marksman, always watching and always evaluating situations "...I'll be more effective there."

The young Jedi made it clear he had his own reservations about the prisoner, but that was fine with Trasker; he had his orders, and all of them were going to be of use, so it wasn't going to argue with someone who was so un-naturally powerful.

Trasker dropped his hand and spoke to Graves. "Of course. Do you know anything about this prisoner? I've not had much information passed to me except she's rather dangerous."

The prisoner was getting closer, flanked by her Detention guards. Trasker rested his hand on his DC-15s sidearm and stood his ground up front, fixing his eyes forward, and just waited.

Coci smiled at Vexander's comments, preferring that position herself. However, she would be happy enough to take the lead on this occasion. As Ben gestured for them to move she walked toward the ship. As she approached, the guards began to load the prisoner onto the ship, Coci followed behind them. Ben and Vexander following.

Inside the ship is just as sparse as the outside, only seating lining the walls. The guards secured the prisoner into one of the seats and locked her down. Coci moved to the front and turned, her blaster in hand and keep her eye closely on the prisoner. In only moments, they would depart.

Trasker watched the prisoner onto the transport in front of Coci. She was...well, one ugly mother. He skin looked thin and fragile, but her face gaunt and dark, probably pumped with drugs and who knew what else. Her body looked delicate, her features extenuated with tight outfit.

He didn't want to feel over confident, but he couldn't help it. 3 of them to escort this one woman up to Centax? A Jedi, G.IA and CSF together? She'd probably annoyed all three factions and they each wanted to claim the prize of taking her in.

The soldier-esque guards came out of the transport, ignoring both Trasker and Graves. Turning to the Jedi, he raised his eyebrows and smirked at their seriousness, and then turned to climb on-board.

The engines were already warming up, so no time was going to be wasted it seemed. Once the door was locked, that would be it until they reached the moon of Coruscant. Coci was seated up front. The prisoner was secured into her chair, so that seemed fine. Trasker had a choice; sit in front of the prisoner, or stay to the rear beside her. He wasn't here for points, or to prove anything; this was a simple escort after all.

He sat in the seat opposite the prisoner, slightly off centre, and pulled over his buckle across his blast vest. It clicked into place. Trasker rested his hands on his knees, and his eyes fixed on their prisoner. Even more creepy looking up close.

@[member="Coci Sinopi"] @[member="Vexander Graves"]

The Jedi Knight looked straight to the transport that they were going to take along the prisoner, it didn't take long for his two peers to aim their blasters at the prisoner.

It didn't take long for Vex to join them, however; he didn't pointed his saber nor his blaster at the girl. In fact, the young man decided to do something else... with the help of the Force, Vexander used his skills in Telekinesis and proceeded to bind the enemy to the chair like if he placed ropes to her legs and arms.

Her training in the ways of the Force was unknown for the time being, however; he expected her to be strong... but in the current conditions she would be at the mercy of the team no matter what. For someone as Coci, with some training in the Force, she would notice a bit of tension through the Force while someone as Ben would just notice that he was staring at her straight to the eye... in fact, it seemed to be just a staring contest...

"Unfortunately Agent Trasker, the Council does not provide all intel and just what needs to be known... at the moment, all I know is that she is criminal and follower of the darkside... and she might be quite powerful..."

The Jedi didn't even looked to any other side other than the eyes of the prisoner... he had to make sure that she wouldn't try anything funny... or else he would be quite happy to just deal with the matter in unorthodox way.

She felt Vexander's connection to the force, his concentration and focus as he secured the prisoner further through the application. Although she is restrained by means of shackles to her legs and arms, the fact that Vexander intensified the incarceration only served to heighten her concerns .. he must be sensing something. She looked upon his face, into his eyes and could see his fixed mind. Her eyes darted across to Ben and back to the prisoner.

The ship lifted off the platform and ascended up through the atmosphere toward Centax-1. Coci held on tight to the arm rest of her seat, the beads of sweat forming on her brow, she so hates flying when she is not in control. She steadied her mind and re focused .. the situation required her to push this fear aside and remain alert ..

She had not strapped herself in the seat, preferring not to in any situation, but here she needed to be free and ready for action if it was required. Her eyes fell back to the woman, she is sitting there quietly her eyes on fixed on the point just below Ben's feet. However, at that point, she raised her gaze, Coci could see her lingering eyes falling over Ben, covering every inch of him as if sizing him up. At certain points her gaze stopped to drink him in more, a look of lust sparked in her eyes, which made Coci's blood run cold. Although Coci does not know Ben .. today their first meeting, he is a fine looking man.. well built and handsome, but that was not made her blood freeze, it was the way of her, her intentions, very much unclear. Eventually, her eyes looked into her Ben's and held there for a moment, before the woman lowered them back to the floor.

Opening up a telepathic link to Vexander, knowing he would have seen and felt that too, Something is out of place, she said she could not say this out load, she did not wish to alert the woman.

Coci could feel through the force, that something is not right and she had a sense that something was about to happen. The guards that had accompanied them, seemed to be unaware of the tension, she assumed they had done prisoner transfer a lot and had grown complacent. Her eyes looked on the chronometer on the wall, the time counting down to the arrival at Centax-1. They will arrived in 10 minutes.

Centax-1

The transport was smooth and steady, rocking slightly as it took off from Coruscant for the trip to Centax-1. It was a soft ascent, steady, but a little disappointing there were no windows in the shuttle to look out at the awe-inspiring planet below that Trasker loved so much. It was more like a tomb.

Blast! I didn't lock down the speeder! Trasker suddenly kicked himself. But, it wasn't as it anyone would be hitting the roof a Detention Centre for a joyride.

The shuttle broke through the atmosphere with a slight wobble, and Trasker noticed that Graves was the picture of serenity and calm, fixing his gaze on their prisoner. On the other hand, Coci was holding onto her seat and seemed to be fighting away an anxious look and she seemed a little edgy, but focused once more.

He turned his head back and noticed the gaze of the prisoner in front of him. She was obviously sizing him up for something; either an elaborate mind game or simply the thrill of maintaining a power over her captors whilst she was restrained. Trasker didn't break away, he just looked into her eyes; dark and empty, yet alluring. He wasn't such a push over, and just waited for her to take her gaze back down to the floor.

He hated that feeling you get when nerves suddenly kick you in the gut. He leant his head back on the transport and regretted looking into her eyes for so long because it freaked him out. She was something un-natural, like the Jedi. Maybe she was rogue Jedi herself? What did Graves say...?

...a criminal and follower of the Dark Side...

Great. More god-like powers. Still, nothing hopefully a DC-15s couldn't deal with a solid team such as this. A Jedi, the G.I.A and CSF. It'll be fine. He wished someone would say something, but in the confines of such a dark and eerie space, no-one had the nerve to break the silence first.

@[member="Coci Sinopi"] @[member="Vexander Graves"]

Vexander didn't even flinched his concentration, he could sense that they were almost in their location, but still it didn't matter. He had to keep the control of his thoughts and feelings regardless of the surroundings since their mission depended on that.

True, he was not there alone, but he didn't want to expose his colleague and @[member="Coci Sinopi"] to the power of that darksider.

Time passed, and with it; Vex began to see the moment when they would just deliver the target to the facilities in order for the lady to be secured. There was something odd though... she didn't have any known impediment to speak like a mouth cover... but she was silent... something was not right... her eyes were not fixed in Vexander nor she was trying to taunt him like other darksiders... she was looking at something else.

Coci's interaction with Vex through the Telepathic link was quickly answered by the young man "Indeed, something is quite bad..." still, it was hard to determine what was wrong... still, the young man decided to strap himself into the seat further and remained with the telekinetic bind that would prevent the dark lady from escaping... or so he thought.

The lingering eye of the woman with white hair, slowly moved from the floor in front of Ben's feet, to Vexander. Her head turned slightly so to look him directly in the eyes. She held a firm gaze on him, no emotion on her face, but her eyes however, sparkled with an intensity .. she is not attempting to probe Vexander, no that will alert him but she is trying to intimidate him. She can sense him, he is strong with the force and will prove valuable to her if she can have him captured .. the young girl .. although strong and raw with the force, will not be needed, the blacked haired woman will provide a nice meal for her, the very thought of her Anzati proboscises entering her brain drinking her 'soup' and feasting on the light side almost to much to wait for, but she will. The other one, the man opposite her, will bend to her mind control and do her bidding, he is strong and will become one of her soldiers.

Only moments now, and you will be mine.

---------------------------------

Through the force, Coci could sense immediate danger, she stood up abruptly and looked to Vexander wondering if he could sense it too. Her eyes flashed to Ben hope he would see her concern and read in her face to be alert. The pupils of her black eyes widened, allow the light in the ship to penetrate more providing her with more vision then most, her eyes looked to them all. Then onto the guards stand at the back of the ship near Vexander. One of the guards shifted his weight on his feet and moved slightly to the left, his cloaked falling slightly to reveal weapons not standard issue for a guard of the Detention Centre. Her eyes focused on the weapon, a light saber .. this is not right ..

Coci's blaster flew to her hand and in one fluid motion, she raised her arm straight out and fired .. hitting the guard directly in the face, the only part of this guard exposed, the others had the sense to have their helmets on for protection. She did not warn the others the dead body of the guard warning enough.

Click Click...... the physical restraints hold the woman are released she is free of them, the only thing keeping her to the seat is Vexander's application of the force. As the guards body hit the floor of the ship, his light saber dislodged from his belt and rolled in front of the woman. An evil laugh issued from her curled horrid smile as she used the force and pulled the guards light saber to her hand and ignited the blade.

Suddenly the transport ship banked hard to the right .. sending Coci flying to the wall. She hit it with force and fell to the floor, but she is only slightly winded. The ship began a high ascent and she began to slid along the floor, however she was able to grab hold of the bottom of the nearest seat to stop her slid. Everyone stand is effected by this sudden trajectory of the ship, the three remaining guards falling about.

The blaster fire from young Coci was the first alarm that struck in Trasker's head, and then everything happened at once.

It didn't help in their confined space that it now appeared a breakout was happening. The guards were obviously in on this, and their prisoner was now free of her restraint, but somehow still in her seat.

Trakser immediately slapped down his buckle over his belt and broke free from his seat, moving to tackle one of the guards and restrain them as best he could. He didn't hear the lightsaber hiss behind him. If only the guards were taken care of, then-

- the transport lurched right without warning.

His eyes widened in surprise, Trakser lost his footing and narrowly avoided hitting Coci, taking a hard impact herself. Looking over his shoulder, back against the wall, Graves was still focusing on the prisoner, it seemed these two were now locked in a mentally aggressive battle using their powers. He just prayed the Jedi could hold her.

Reaching out to quickly help Coci and reach for his sidearm, Trasker didn't have the chance to help before the transport ascended again, steeper than normal and sending him sliding down, crumpling back into the seat beside him, preventing him from falling to the rear of the tomb they were in.

The body of a guard fell past him from the switch in gravity, and he had moments to get his bearings and his breath. Coci was holding on above him on a higher seat. Looking over, the prisoner was obviously enjoying the chaos, but Graves still had her. Trasker was totally lost; where were they going? He prayed the pilots were taking emergency action and not part of the sabotage.

This wasn't going to be as easy as he suspected after all if those pilots didn't get to Centax-1...
