A Holiday on Bespin (Open)

Marzena had been working a lot lately, and felt that she was overdue for a bit of a holiday from her responsibilities at Kingdom Group. The heiress and CEO had come to the Cloud City of Bespin to enjoy a bit of luxury. She had arrived earlier in the day, and had spent an hour walking through the upper rises. Marzena had then ducked into a day spa and had opted for a facial and a hot stone massage… she’d been feeling generous and allowed her assistant to enjoy the amenities of the spa as well. However, now that she’d been pampered, she was starting to feel just the slightest bit hungry. She had always had a love/hate relationship with food, as she was very picky and spent a lot of time worrying about her daily calorie count.

“Bonnie,” She turned to her assistant as they left the spa. “Are there any restaurants nearby?”
Marzena’s assistant pulled her datapad out of her bag and soon had an answer.

“Yes, Miss Choi.” Bonnie said with a nod. “We are fairly close to BLUEMilk, it has a number of great reviews.”

Together the pair walked on, winding their way through the crowds on the streets. Marzena felt very much at home here, everything was bathed in an air of opulence. Today she was dressed in a simple white dress that was cut just above the knee. The dress was a bit modest for Marzena’s usual taste, but the neckline swooped low to reveal her shoulders. It was the perfect outfit to wear with her new chandelier earrings that sparkled in the soft light. As she entered the restaurant, she realized that it was still a bit early for dinner, and she headed to the lounge.

Marzena was not afraid to dine alone, she felt that it said something about one’s self confidence, but she did have to admit that it would be nice to have someone to talk to. Though, for now she would have a drink at the bar and see if anyone struck her fancy. At least this was the sort of restaurant that would draw a wealthy crowd, just the sort of people she could get along with.

She waved her assistant away, and took a seat at the bar. Bonnie headed off to a seat in the corner… she always did like it when Marzena ate at fancy restaurants, as it meant that she would get a free meal.

A few bruises in his body but all good. Nothing was going to ruin the first free night in..."Since when i dont take a vacation. The work is going to leave me I dont remember when i got a vacation" Venus landed his ship into the bay and turn off the AT-120. She would also take the night off and maybe read until she felt sleep or watch a movie. No matter, both of them deserved a break from that last mission on Duro.

He left his work clothes on the flat he rented for a week and walked to a mall, searching for new clothes. A black suit with a dark blue tie that looked well on Acaleus. The sleeves that covered his arms tattoos, make him a more decent man than he was with the former armor he wore just half an hour ago. He wanted a nice place to spend the night. Not the usual bar where you could easily get into a fight or drink bad liquor. He entered the restaurant with the idea of having a nice meal. Couples, a friends meeting and a beutiful lady on the bar that steal the sights of Acaleus for a brief three seconds.

He sat beside her "Are you a star? Because...Oh sorry i dont know how to flirt. Name is Acaleus" said ordering a glass of water to the bartender

She had made her way through this part of the galaxy using diplomatic corps insignia and beacons. The ship had a large cargo hold and for what she wanted it was needed.

Her business was not with Cloud City or the miners but with a man who was preparing to leave Bespin and wanted to sell 3 mated pairs of thranta and two juveniles. This was the opportunity she wanted to bring the tyrants to Aldera.

She had the credits ready to release she needed to see the condition of the thranta were they healthy could they endure the flight to Aldera. These thranta were ancestors to the ones from Alderaan. A little furrier than Alderaan but just as big just as teachable and domesticated.

Ready are you? What know you of ready?
Her pilgrimage to Jedi locations had provided her with plenty of experience but – as yet – no answers. Not even questions that she could use to find answers. But she was relentless and so made her way to Bespin. It was one she’d been putting off – given the lack of information about the location. All she had was a single line of text. She re-read it once she powered down her old ship and prepared to disembark.

About Djinn Altis, the Jedi Master who had come to Chad, and the Jedi enclave on Bespin, floating unknown among the clouds.

That was it. Perhaps the Force would guide her. Or maybe a fellow Jedi might advise her? Except she knew the planet was not controlled by the First Order and so had to be wary who she revealed her identity to.

So she pulled her cloak tightly around her, its age and general disrepair suggesting she was little more than a traveller, passing through. Her stomach rumbled – she needed something to eat and so decided to stop at the first restaurant she came to. Running supplies paid a meagre wage – she invariably did the work for cost as the cause was always just – but she had enough for something more than soup and bread today. So she followed her nose to the closest eatery and wondered how the Altrsian Jedi would be considered in today’s times – given their differences to the establishment were now common practice.

Marzena had ordered a glass of red wine, and had just been about to take a dainty sip when a man slid into the seat next to her. For a moment she merely watched him out of the corner of her eyes, she could tell that he was wearing a dark suit. She raised the glass to her lips and took a sip, not sparing him a glance until he spoke. It was clear to her that this man was going to grace her with some sort of corny pick up line, that’s usually what happened when men took seats next to her at the bar... However, his words actually made her chuckle, especially his confession about not being able to flirt. Now, that was an area where Marzena had much experience.

“You shouldn’t admit defeat so soon.” Marzena said in a cool tone, it was not her way to do anything that would make her appear weak or vulnerable. “However, it is nice to meet you, Acaleus.” Marzena extended a perfectly manicured hand to him, a friendly gesture.

“My name is Marzena. And to answer your question, I’m not a star.” A slight smile tugged at her red lips. Though, she did like the idea of being mistaken for someone famous.

Her eyes shifted as the door opened again, and she saw a young woman enter. Marzena raised a brow at the traveling clothes that she wore, especially the tattered cloak that hung upon her shoulders. Interesting...

Whoa, so sorry for the delay! I've been a bit under the weather the last week.

It was nice to talk with someone. Men would only liked fight without searching for a simple pacific solution and the last woman he met, tried to kill him. He sensed the newcomer for a second but the girl he had in front had his complete attention. He shake her hand with a small smile "Nice to meet you Marzena. I´ve taken the night off and probably gonna do the same tomorrow" said sighing "Work is gonna make me old if i dont notice" the bartender came back with the drink and he took a sip of it.

Enjoying a talk with a beautiful woman during his night off in an expensive but delicious restaurant was the best thing he could have achieve at that point "And you? Here for business?" asked a little hungry as he didnt ate too much at lunch.

The ship turned and began to dock at Platform 12, this was where her Tia Rekha use to have the bar, The Underground. Actually it looked like it was still here but Faith had no time to go and check. She knew that there were spies every where and it would only take a few to make this small business deal turn into something else entirely.

She came off the ship looking for her contact, she imagined he would meet them. She could see the thranta teathered to the railing. Slowly she went to them. They showed no fear, they were older. Very domestic.

"I have a beautiful home for you" Faith reached out and stroked the nearest one, a female from what she could tell, the juveniles were not here only the three mated pairs. "It's a long trip" and she truly hoped they survived the trip How her family missed riding.

She hoped that in time she could teach [member="Darth Vulkan"] to ride the thranta on the high winds of Aldera. it was something she loved. First she had to get them on board, and home safely.

The moment she entered, she sensed she'd made a mistake. This was no average restaurant - but clearly an establishment of class. Nowhere near a Jedi's pay grade and she felt her cheeks flushing as she realised her mistake. Worst still, her stomach was now rumbling and before she could turn tail and leave, a greeter smiled warmly to her. "A Jedi?" He seemed a little confused and slightly awkward, as he cast an eye around the establishment. "I'd advise you hide your saber and you're in luck. No Knights of Ren here right now, nor ranking First Order officers."

He swept the room again. "I have a small booth away from the public glare if that would suffice? Business or pleasure?" He indicated a small table next to the kitchen entrance.

She gave a small bow and seized on his words. "Business. Jedi business. If I could just sit for a few minutes, check out the location and then I'll be on my way." She hid her saber at this point, hiding the hilt with her old robe.

Faith stroked the creature taking in the powerful jaws, the wing expanse, and seeing that it was indeed old. It certainly would not breed but she couldn't say no to taking it to Aldera to give them the chance to fly in the skies overhead. Maybe even Tia Rekha would come and teach others how to fly.

They could glide through the air with such grace, a very common mode of transportation on Alderaan before vong forming, she hoped it would become common on Aldera. Faith heard a voice and turned, "Hello, Mr. Jerrell I assume"

"Yes Mam, welcome sorry for being late, so yes these are the mated pairs, the juveniles need only to be called in."

Faith nodded, "They are not all fit for breeding Mr. Jerrell, I had hoped for three pairs for breeding, to establish a population."

Faith looked into the great eye of the one she stood by.

"Well Miss, I'll tell you what I'll do, if you can increase the price some I'll get you three more pairs, and come to Aldera to train them."

Three more pair, six pairs she bit her lip it was a lot. This was a weakness for certain. What would her mother say when she spent so much.

"fine, bring me the other three pairs to Aldera within two weeks."

He arched a brow a bit surprised by it, "Two weeks is pushing it"

Faith smiled, "But it is doable, isn't it?"

He laughed, "Yes Mam it's doable"

"Excellent, I look forward to seeing you in two weeks, if you will now help get these into the hold, and call the juveniles" Faith was excited, very excited, there would be Thranta on Aldera.
