- Here I Come!: These are interceptors, made to get there quickly and get into the fight fast.
- Sturdy Design: Striking against the hull with blaster fire, a multitude of redundant systems are in place to keep it running for as long as possible.
- Anti-Capital Problem: It is not designed to fight capital ships, recommending to keep towards starfighters and other smaller targets.
- Weak Deflector Shields: The deflector shield does not take more than a couple of hits, recommending to use its pilots intuition and SLAM know when to run from a situation.
A/IU Interceptors were designed after the humiliating display from the A/N Interceptor. Several key improvements done were to put it back towards the common squadron count, actually having an ejector seat and making the starfighter much more sturdy than before. The downsides were that the weapon systems were decreased, making its firepower while unique, still have a long charge up time before firing. Regardless, it was placed out on sale and was expected to beat the other interceptor in sales, the critics being much more forgiving.
