A Jedi Ransom

The strobe lights flickered, casting a crepuscular glow within the confines of the screen and neighbouring dashboard, a sequence of numbers flash by in florescent green, a pre-recorded message plays, a single individual appears on the holocron, The mass of durasteel, its angular mask and thick wrought metallic finger's wrapping around a coat, it's flannel trimming boarder the shoulder moving in the artificial breeze, the disperse of air and rising steam from the automated voice-box.

"Greetings Jedi, we have your apprentice." it was with a cruel shove, the metallic digits circling [member="Fletcher Lorcan"], shoulder. "You'll pay 200,000 credits or you'll never see him again."

Fletcher avoided looking directly ahead and at the gaze of whoever might be watching the holocron, feeling quite ashamed that he had got himself into this. He wondered if [member="Flannigan Mcnash"] was bluffing but everything that had happened up until that point proved otherwise. The Padawan stood in silence, now visibly afraid.

Ana could only sigh and shake her head as she heard the random note. She hated how people thought she was a Jedi even though she really was going out and helping him though things. Ana was a Mandalorian and had made that choice to stay with her brother a long time ago. This man would find out soon enough what Ana was all about because there was no way she would leave Fletcher in his care. She hoped that he was alright.

Ana had the money but that was supposed to be for the new home she wanted to build or rather was thinking of building. Plus she did not negotiate with terrorists ever.

"How about we meet and discuss this? I'll bring the money in a black box." She spoke calmly back. It took a lot to rattle Ana. This was not it.

The holocron continued on, the blur and minute in the static only enhanced by the sudden and eventual disappearance of figures in the background. "You will meet me on Tatooine, follow the coordinates or you'll never see him again." The ascribed location was a blank featureless patch of sand, void of all substance but sand. It was half hour walk away from mos eisley.

Sighing Sophia waited for [member="Flannigan Mcnash"] on Tatooine of all places. It has been years since she had been to the place but here she was back.

The Jedi Master had the credits but in honesty she wasn't giving them up to criminals. She did not deal with criminals. The bag she held had the money alright but that was it. Where was he? [member="Fletcher Lorcan"]

It started with a shimmer, a bleeding light from a distant star catching on the fin of a ship, the round beads of light distributed over the hull running ricochet. It was made up of sharp geometric shapes with a sharp pointed head. It was a BT-7 thunderclap, and it was heading towards Tatooine, breaking from the receding grey atmosphere they cleared the landing, great gouges of dirt spurting up and into the air in rolling clouds of dust from laser fire, it was a show of power and they meant business.

Landing the gangway extended, and ten pirates left the ship, they looked like ramshackle beggars, or a useless drunks. Baggy pants and old dull shirts usually with two buttons missing, and around their waist was tied a wide black tasselled sash. With the left most wearing a jacket with durasteel plating tide and held together by an adhesive and twine.

Character
A mechanical aberration steps out, the pronged feet taking great gauges out of the soil as he moves, his voice a low heavy rumble that rattles bones in their sockets "Greetings Jedi". A military style coat tucked around him bordering his knees, with flannel trimmings hanging from the shoulders, leading the group. "Cadan, bring out the prisoner."

Cadan stepped forward out of the ship, pulling Fletcher on an a chain. He wore his ever present brown trench coat, the coat was once a beautiful master piece, now it was stained, shot up and practically burnt. The coat wrapped itself tightly around some Red Raven Shot Caller Armor. At his right thigh a DL-18 was holstered the words 'Sunshine' could be seen sketching into its handle. He wore two wrist mounted weapons, on his left wrist a M99 Rocket system and on his right a CZ Wrist-Mounted Flame Projector. Strapped around him, and hanging off his back was a Raven Gauss Rifle, with an Augmented Shooting Tool equipped.

"Got the squirmy little kark right 'ere Cap'n" He gave Fletcher a small kick in the back, letting him stumble forward on his chain.

Fletcher struggled for a moment before he stumbled forwards and shot a look back at [member="Cadan Tazi"], though he knew it would be wise not to retaliate. The Padawan looked solemnly at his master and then at Flannigan.

Break made his way from the shadows and more into view he watched as the padawan scrambled up with [member="Cadan Tazi"] he looked frightened by the whole mess. He could see the anger in his eyes, but also the defeat. This was probably the only time when Break would nod at [member="Fletcher Lorcan"] as if to say "stay strong". Now Break wasn't one to like jedi but kids had a soft place in his mechanical heart. He watched as Cadan kicked the boy in the back with indifference however. He wouldn't let anyone know of a soft spot in that mechanical armor.

A Droid wrapped in a cloak would step out of the ship, yellow sensors burning against the scorching suns... The servos on the claws flexed back and forth, testing them... The creature would step behind his captain and make no sound. He had prepared his full arsenal for the Jedi, should she resist...

"Let's make this easy, give me the kid and nobody gets hurt." Sophia honestly didn't have time to nor did she wish to play any games with anybody. Sophia also wasn't giving up the money. She needed it to buy parts for her ship.

When she had been much younger her father had traded money for her freedom. She was never ever going to work with the terrorists even if she was outnumbered. The Master could handle this, she had been through much worse.

he'd turn to look at his crew than back to [member="Sophia Walsh"], cybernetics whiring with a low heavy hum that resonated deep within his core, the head turning almost 360 degree before the body could react and turn with it giving the cyborg a raver sereal look about him for that instant. "You're out numbered Jedi, and out gunned." the metallic 'pop' as his hand tightened into a fist. There was a smile that only touched his eye's, a look that eminated arrogance and malice. "We're not unreasonable." He'd say incredulously, the durasteel plates whirled like an out of control octopus, hammering down on the black ribbon components like so much hail in a storm. There was a ding as each piston convulsed and he began to move towards [member="Sophia Walsh"], each step was completed with a thud as the pronged toes slid across the floor to the sands of Tatooine, until two meters away from the Jedi. "I like good sport, and what better sport is there than fighting a Jedi. Beat me and we'll let your padwan go, loose well lets just say both you and the little one will regret it."

The remaining innard that weren't replaced with cybernetic buzzed with emotions, like those butterflies you get deep in your gut leaving you aloof and fidgety. Waiting, how long had he waited for this, how long ago was it since the Jedi destroyed his organic body and left him in ruin. Now brought back to life and equipped with the best the underworld had to offer, it wasn't revenge it was rapture. And he had all the tools, he was the hammer and [member="Sophia Walsh"], was the nail. He'd prove a point that even Jedi can loose to the likes of scum, but not any scum the Jackals.

The hand would unclip and rotate on its core crossing his chest , settling his pronged finger's around the hilt of his vibroblade. "Jedi I'll be taking your sabre for myself." he throatily crooned, pressing closer to [member="Sophia Walsh"]. The blade flashed as he brought it over his head and hummed a low, swift tune when he brought it down, pointing it towards her.

Cadan watched as Flannigan approach the jedi, this would be an interesting thing to see. Although Cadan had faith in Flannigan, he still held his weapon at the ready. Cadan leaned down and whispered to Fletcher. "100 credits on Flannigan." a wolfish grin slid across his face.

[member="Fletcher Lorcan"]

Fletcher stared in horror as now his master was being forced to fight for him. At Cadan's remark, he shoved his elbow into the Duros' abdomen as hard as he could and gave Cadan a cold glare. "You clearly know nothing!" he said out of both fear and anger.

[member="Cadan Tazi"]

The elbow would have hit Cadan's armor, hurting the Padawan more than him. He stared at the Fletcher through his helmet. This child had fight, such a shame they were selling him. He gave a small bark of laughter before backhanding the boy across the head. Only lightly though, the metal glove would hurt enough with out much force. Cadan would look towards the fight. Holding the chain that held Fletcher closer to him.

[member="Fletcher Lorcan"]

"I never did anything to you, this isn't fair!" he said to Cadan, though he doubted it would make any difference. His head ached from the hit but he had been forced to learn to ignore distractions. Fletcher struggled against the chain and resisted from just strangling Cadan where he stood. "I will hurt you." He said angrily.

"See that's where you are wrong. You are unreasonable kidnapping people and taking them away like this and asking for ransom. Who do you think you are to be doing something like that? I do not negotiate with terrorists and that is what you happen to be." It was simple in her mind really people like him were not worth her time. He was nothing compared to the crap that she had dealt with before hand by Sith. She could laugh at him but she wouldn't instead she would just allow him to twist around his little lightsaber.

"You don't know how to use that thing properly but I will dance with you if you want." She smiled calling her saber to her hand as she backed up a bit. This was going to be quite easy, like taking candy from a baby. Fletcher she hoped would be just fine for now.

[member="Flannigan Mcnash"][member="Cadan Tazi"][member="Fletcher Lorcan"]

The forearm contracted, the sound and buzz of piston and gear rotating, and than snapping in a mechanical groan. Hefting his vibroblade he'd intercept [member="Sophia Walsh"], the spark and the discourse of light leaking from the inter-meeting weapons, his swordsmanship was of simple make lacking the sophistication of a light-sabre form, and the associated pros and cons of the chosen form. "You Jedi think yourself gods-" there was a pivot to the cyborgs movement and now wide arks from the free hand joined the frey, it was careful to lock [member="Sophia Walsh"], sabre with his vibroblade before attempting a lunge with his pointed digits, they were much like knives, sharp and pointed with a cruel edge. "-! It is time to put away with such childish thoughts."

He knew for a fact for all his implants this was still someone with the force, something he didn't understood and had almost killed him, the best trick to employ was surprise. But he was made to take out sabre duellists, he was equipped with the best technology could provide against a Jedi.

"No!" he shouted, rushing forwards towards his master, though being restricted by the chain. "You'll be sorry." he hissed towards Cadan. Fletcher felt really guilty that he had got his master into this and continuously struggles against the chain.
