A Kind of Magic

After a short stay on Coruscant, Jairdain brought Kyla to Voss. The capital planet of the Silver Jedi and a place they called home. Their flight was uneventful and peaceful. Jairdain answered as many questions Kyla had for her along the way. Some of the answers would have to wait until they were there and she could show him.

Bringing the ship she had borrowed in for landing. He would see the colors of the planet through the view port. The yellows and oranges of the trees. It may appear that they were dying, but it was the natural colors for Voss. The air was clear and if one looked close enough, they might notice ruins scattered across the land.

Pointing to the top of a hill in distance, "there is Voss-Ka. We're not going there yet, but it is basically the only location on Voss that's totally neutral. In the past, all parties could meet there for conferences or diplomatic reasons. The Voss still reside there mostly, but they don't often visit the Silver temple which is where we are going."

She would take a bit of time to give him an aerial tour of the planet before actually heading to their final destination of the temple. When it did come into view, it was a place that was clearly kept well and modern by the other standards of Voss. Finally Jairdain brought the shuttle down on one of the landing pads and shut it down.

Standing up, she stretched slightly and opened the ramp so they could exit the ship.

"Welcome to Voss, Kyla."

Picking up her cloak, she would lead him off the shuttle and out into a new life for him.

When the shuttle arrived at Voss and they passed through atmo, Kyla felt nothing but awe. On the surface of the planet, there are vast patches of grass everywhere. The trees were tall and the leaves were orange and yellow. There were even ruins scattered around the surface. It was completely different from the city planet from which he grew up in. While Courascant was consistently active, this place seems almost...peaceful. It will take some time to get used to but Kyla believes he could get used to it.

He sat back in his chair as the borrowed shuttle came in for a landing. Jairdain had pointed to the top of the hill which she called Voss-Ka and explained that it was completely nuetral and used for diplomatic meetings and conferences. She even mentioned that the Voss lived there and that they didn't visit the Temple as often. Kyla listened intently as he was genuinely curious.

The shuttle stayed in the air as Jairdain gave Kyla an aerial tour of the planet. In time, the shuttle arrived at the Silver Temple and landed on one of the various landing pads and Jairdain turned it off. She opened the ramp and headed outside. Kyla took off the buckle and followed suit. He stepped outside onto the pad and felt a warm breeze ruffle his hair. Yeah. This is definitely nicer than Courascant. Now it's time to meet the Silvers.

Kyla followed Jairdain as she went to the entrance of the Temple. He was going to look forward to this.

With her cloak hanging over her arm, Jairdain lead Kyla into the temple proper. This area was mostly the receiving area rather than the formal entrance. She would take him there, but this was easier for her purpose of giving him a tour.

"I think it would be best to show you where you'll be staying. After that, I'll show you around more."

She stopped to speak with him.

"If something catches your eye between here and there, let me know and I'll answer any questions."

Continuing on, Jairdain would lead him to where the padawans slept while they stayed in the temple. The rooms were simple, but had everything needed to make it through the day and night.

"Are you hungry? I should be about time where dinner is served."

The Temple was pretty amazing. He couldn't help but feel amazed. 'So this is the Silver Jedi Temple?' It didn't look like the formal entrance, but he wouldn't have any idea what it would look like anyway. Kyla was lead into the temple proper, and Jairdain mentioned that she would be showing him where he was staying and to let her know if anything caught his attention and that she'll answer any questions he might have. Kyla nodded despite knowing that she very well couldn't see him. It was pretty much on reflex.

The pair reached the rooms where the Padawans normally slept and sat down on one of the empty bunks. It was comfortable, and Kyla liked that it was simple. Jairdain asked Kyla if he was hungry and replied," Not really. I would like to explore this place a little more". At that moment, his stomach decided to growl loud enough to be heard and Kyla gave a sheepish grin. "On second thoughts, dinner might be a good idea."

She picked up on the amazement Kyla felt and knew the feeling totally. While the visual was lost on her, the sense of the Temple was not. Jairdain had grown used to it and would give him the time he needed to do the same.

Along the way to his room, he didn't stop to ask anything. For all she knew he was at a loss for what to ask. As he settled in, Jairdain assumed the questions would come. As the brief tour came to an end, Kyla said he wasn't hungry, but his stomach answered for him. With a chuckle, she pointed in the direction of the mess hall.

"C'mon let us get something to eat, even if it is simple fruit and you can explore to your heart's content. From what I've heard there's hot spring under the temple and something like a hit tub around. Maybe you'll be the one to find them."

Leading the way, she took a few steps to see if Kyla would follow her.
