A Lesson In Patience

"So I hope you know that I won't hesitate to leave you behind if ya get in my way," Cairyn said, skipping alongside [member="Jack Anderson"] as they headed towards the transport that'd take them to Serenno. He was a jittery fellow. He probably would've been moving wall to wall if not for the soldier standing in his way.

Cairyn gave Jack little time to answer, hitting him with rapid fire questions faster than a starving animal would attack their prey. "So, like I said, I'm Cairyn, the one who's going to be the best out of all these Sith we got going on here. What about you? What are your ambitions? Fears? Do you know how to get to Serenno 'cause I sure don't. This is going to be so much fun."

Jack stopped to yell at one of his soldiers. "Hey! What is your Malfunction!? Explosives go in lockup before loading! Karking idiot!"

The modified CR-90 Corvette wasn't much to look at, but it was all Jack's, unfortunately it was about to be ruined by this kid, not even old enough to enter trials for the unit on board and he wouldn't shut up.

"Alright kid, my name's Jack Anderson, and I doubt that you're gonna get a chance to leave me behind." Jack rolled his eyes, this was going to be a long trip. He was looking forward to when he was going to get the chance to make the kid ride a drop pod down to the surface, a little bit of a right passage.

His attention shifting back and forth between Jack and his troops, he had half the mind to wave at each and every one of them, see how many of them he could throw off their guard. The more Jack continued to address him, daring to refer to him as 'kid', the more he wanted to skip the mission and try killing the man now. The brief reminder that they weren't alone just managed to keep him under control.

Cairyn's form practically twitched in annoyance. His smile never fading as he addressed his elder, his voice dripping in venom. "Alrighty mister, but call me kid again and I'll rip your fingernails out, one by one."

Jack just rolled his eyes again, as much as he hated the kid he did remind Jack a bit of what he was like at that age, all be it he was far less annoying, or at least he hoped so...

"I'm not here to trade petty karking insults, we have a job to do, so lets go do it or I'll be calling you far worse than kid"

Jack lead his 'partner' through the ship to where his quarters were, it wasn't much but at least the kid would have a private room for the trip, and on a ship this full that was a luxury all on it's own.

"Here's your room, I'm going to go shower, shave, and grab a bite from the mess, I'll comm you in about an hour to come meet me in the conference room, we can talk strategy then."

Jack turned away and started walking towards his room, "See ya then. Kid."

Cairyn wanted to do something, anything to make Jack regret calling him anything other than his actual name. "Job to do or not," he said, a song in his voice, "I'm still gonna make you miserable if ya keep callin' me that."

Left to his own devices, he was half tempted to skip waiting and explore the ship, maybe play a couple games with crew members, see just what he could get away with while Jack was off doing his own lil thing. Then, he had a better idea. These people were soldiers, right? Soldiers had forts.

He wanted a fort.

Lost in the sudden need to have a fort, he pulled his blankets off the bed frame, tying them to whatever surfaces he could find, making a fort meant just for him.
