Private A Long Time Ago...

Elysium Eternal

Elysium Empire Narrative
It is 23 BBY. The Clone Wars have begun. All across the galaxy Confederate forces are fighting for freedom from the corrupt Republic. The Clone Army has been formed, reinforcing the outnumbered Republic military as they clash with the massive droid armies of The Separatists. With The Battle of Geonosis still fresh in their memory, The Jedi Order is spread thin, acting as generals in The Grand Army of The Republic. However one Jedi has chosen to pursue his own objective on the desert planet of Lasan, where it is rumored the spirit of a Sith Lord resides within a cave.

Will his adventure end in disaster, or will he fell the Sith Spirit and recover any artifacts on the planet? Or perhaps something else entirely will take place. Only time will tell.

The Sith Lord opened his eyes, their yellow glow illuminating his face. He didn't breath, it was unnecessary. He had died long ago....but he had discovered the key to immortality. However this knowledge came with limits. He had been restricted to this cursed cave for millennia, unable to leave without passing into The Nether world. But now...now something interrupted his meditation. Normally he would eliminate intruders, or at the least scare them away. But this time it was different. The intruder had a very strong presence in the force...radiating even. Perhaps this individual could be manipulated. Perhaps he would be the key to an escape from this place..

The Sith rose, levitating a foot off the ground. He would await his new guest with patience. He had waited this long already. He didn't mind waiting a few minutes more.

A hooded figure would struggle through the thick sandstorms of Lasan, heading towards the tomb. He would stretch out his arm and feel the entrance to the tomb, a sandstone door, inscribed with ancient Sith words. The figure would channel immense powers of the Force and the runes would begin glowing a shade of blood red. The door would open, leading into a dark, shadowed passage. The hooded figure would pull back his hood, revealing the tentacled face of a powerful Jedi. He would reach for his lightsaber as a precaution. Who knew what danger may await.....

As the Jedi would enter the cave, The Trandoshan Sith Spirit would speak, his raspy, reptilian voice echoing both through the cave and in The Force..."Jeeedai. I have awaited your presence for so long. It isss surely the will of the Forccce that hasss brought you here. Why elssse would you be here while a galaxy is tearing itssself to piecccess?"

Manipulation. He would convince this Jedi to release him, and it started by convincing the Jedi that he was here by the will of The Force. The Force would "will" that The Jedi release him in order to restore peace to the galaxy. It would work, surely. At the least, he could probably be set free from this wretched cave.

Slightly unnerved, the Jedi would tighten his grip on his lightsaber. He'd start rotating slowly, eyeing everything within the cave: gargantuan statues of Sith of old. "Show yourself. Unless you want to be like every other reptile and slither away into the shadows, too scared to fight". The Jedi had already formulated a plan in his head, to draw the spirit out. Whether the reptile would fall for it, only time would tell.

The reptilian sith spirit took a raspy breath, completely unnecessary in his current form, but it felt good regardless. The Jedi wanted him to reveal himself. That was possible, depending on just where The Jedi stood. He decided to listen to the command. If he were to earn the trust of this Jedi, he would need to show a willingness to comply, to an extent. If he could present himself as friendly and reasonable then just maybe the foolish Jedi would fall for his trap.

The reptilian began walking to the Jedi until he could see the glow of what seemed to be a lightsaber. It had been long since he had seen the weapon of a Jedi, or a Sith for that matter. Only faint memories or visions of the outside, distorted from years of age or interference from The Force. It was just as he remembered. Elegant, yet powerful. A weapon, but a tool as well.

"There is no need to fight, Jedi. Even if you desssire to, you have noooo way to kill meee. See, I am already dead."

Remaining calm, the Jedi would deactivate his lightsaber and put it back onto his belt, before putting his arms behind his back and pacing up and down the tomb.

“I have no intention to fight, Darth. It would be a…How do you say it?” The Jedi would mutter something in Quarrenese before piping up again. ”Ah yes, it would be a waste of time and effort. How long have you been dead? Hundreds of ,and perhaps more, years without a single duel. It wouldn’t exactly be a fair fight, would it now?” The Jedi would continue in an arrogant tone. If only he could draw the, apparently Trandoshan, Sith out, he might be able to find what he needed and return to his clone soldiers on the battlefield.

"Yessss, yes it would be unfair. Ssssso why are you here?"

He would answer his own question later. First he wished to see the Jedi's answer as it would provide insight that would prove valuable in his efforts to convert the man later. The Sith took a few more steps, revealing himself to the Jedi. Perhaps it would be a trap, but he hadn't lied when he said he was already dead. This form was neither alive nor dead. He was somewhere in between, and he was trapped. If this Jedi were to attack, it would accomplish nothing.

The Jedi would observe the undead Sith.
“I believe that that is none of your concern.”
The Jedi would look around the tomb.
“How old is this place? Very masterful architecture.”
The Jedi would only say this to divert the conversation from his true goal. He would notice an ancient statue.
“Intriguing. Is this Ajunta Pall by any chance?”
The Jedi, whilst keeping his mind on why he came here, was curious about this tomb. Much could be learned in the tomb that couldn’t be found in the Jedi archives.

"If you won't tell me why you are here then why ssshould I tell you what this is, or how old it issss?"

He would put his foot on the ground, establishing that while he could be reasonable and work with the Jedi, it would need to be a mutual agreement. Until The Jedi answered his question, he would not answer the Jedi's question. It was a simple quid pro quo.

The Jedi would sigh and turn to face the ghost.

“How about we exchange names? That would be a……” The Jedi would pause and talk to himself in Quarrenese. He’d speak again saying, “That would be a fair trade, would it not?”. He would look around before taking a seat on a collapsed column. He would sense the Sith’s power through the force and be slightly in shock. He knew only of three people of this power: Grandmaster Yoda, Master Windu and the Chosen One. The Jedi would immediately halt his thoughts. Should the Sith find out, he would be in danger.

"Very well, Jedi. I am Derrisk Oz, one of many Sith Lordssss born years ago. I was once well known among The Sith, but that wassss long ago. I have been trapped here for agessss."

All True. He remembered fighting The Old Republic, so it was called. He remembered Revan, The Mandalorian Crusaders, all of it. But since then he had grown weak, living but not living. Dead, but not dead. Sleeping...but always awake. This Jedi was truly his only hope to escape from this place...

“Your reputation precedes you, my dear friend.”
The Jedi would turn around to face the Sith. He had some sort of idea of how old the lizard was, perhaps he remembered Revan, perhaps Vitiate. Perhaps he fought alongside them. The Jedi ‘s mind would flood with these ideas and thoughts. If the Trandoshan gave him what he needed, he could turn the tide of the Clone Wars.
