Theed, Naboo.
The planet had been Phylis' home, and for her first eighteen years it had been everything to her. Then the galaxy had intruded on her, pushing her to become a Jedi, and then taking her far from her homeworld. Wars, investigations, research and travel had meant that the now Jedi Master had not visited her home in many years. What family she had left had moved away from the planet as a procession of queens, invaders and governments had held power over the planet.
Now though, she was back.
The reasons were both easy to explain, and not. Taking a break from her research and scholarly pursuits in the outer rim, Phylis had stumbled upon references to an item of interest supposedly hidden on Naboo. Perhaps nonsense, perhaps not. Either way, it was a good excuse to return home. Much had changed, she knew. For a start they was another new Queen, the latest in a long string which would make the Time of Troubles on Kaeshana look like a period of stability.
And so as her ship dipped out of hyperspace and she approached the planet, she was surprised by the activity and level of strength she saw gathered there.
"Hmm, quite a major amount of resources," she commented, half to herself, half to her droid.
Six-Nine beeped something innocently.
"Hmmph, well, yes, I suppose they are a faction. Not sure what that has to do with it," Phylis commented.
Soon her approach was noted, and she was hailed. The Jedi Master thankfully has many contacts within the various Orders...though she was not explicitly part of any of them, and with the Galactic Alliance. It seemed like these were enough for her to pass through and she was directed to land at Theed's spaceport, close to the palace.
As the ship came in to land, the Jedi Master rose from the piloting controls. "Stay with the ship, Six-Nine. I'm not anticipating, hmm, problems, but one can never be sure."
The droid beeped something dubiously.
"I don't think that's likely, but if you detect concealed Sith Lords let me know. Hmmph, do not fire the cannons. In fact." Phylis removed the firing key from the gunnery controls, ignoring her droid's protesting wail.
"No, no cannons, no missiles. I'm here to look around, not, hmm, to blow it up!"
Dressed in her simple brown robes and with her green bladed lightsabre at her hip she descended from the ship and headed towards the exit. She doubted she'd see anyone she recognised...but one never knew in a place like this.
