A Matter Of Stasis. (Seth and Yuroic)

Seth was currently in the courtyard. With a bow in hand doing his best to strike small fast moving targets with an arrow. It had been a few years now since his archery training had begun. Enough to where Seth was a bit more confident in his handling of the bow. Therefore this past week he had moved to more complicated targets as his preference to further his improvement.

For this he was utilizing a bunch of remote droids with shielding he managed to rig up for them. Seth was making his fair share of hits against the remotes. Though he still had his off mark moments, and once in awhile a remote would get fiesty and charge him. You couldn't expect perfection to occur immediately. Though Seth had always been quick when it came to learning and adapting. So, with the few years of experience and sheer will power to better himself. He was making decent strides.

What was really on his mind however. Was the desire to pick up on a new techique... Well at least better one. Seth was pretty good with control techniques within the force. However, he came to realize he never really invested time into learning, or understanding how force stasis and it's variants functioned. Considering it was one of the few non-lethal methods of subduing a foe, or avoiding yourself or an ally from being struck by a projectile. Seth figured it was about time he learned to become efficient with the skill. Therefore, Seth set his mind that when his mentor next came around. That was the technique he would seek studies within.

Wandering through the hallways, Yuroic spotted his Padawan practising with his bow once again. Yuroic remained silent as he watched the young man shoot at the remotes. He was getting better, there was still things to learn, there always will be. Even Yuroic was learning more things. Coughing to announce his presence, Yuroic stepped closer to Seth. "You need to practice being faster on your draw, spending too long aiming and drawing the bow. In combat, there will be too much going on for you to be able to take your time. Need to practice your muscles to know when to shoot and where to aim. Let instinct take over and be less in your head." Yuroic advised his Padawan.

"Anyway, I believe you asked him not for another class on archery but on the Force. Been too long since we practised something new with the Force. What is it that you want to learn today?" Yuroic asked as he turned the remotes off to stop them firing at the pair while they conversed. Yuroic was busy with his toddler and family that he hadn't realised how long it had been since their last real training session. There was a big feeling of guilt but Seth was doing well and Yuroic was proud how well his Padawan can come along.

Seth looked towards his mentor and nodded his head some. Warily heeding the advice giving. He found with most matters his limiting factors tended to be placing too much thought into something.. Or in instances not enough. Though also true to the words Seth wasn't really seeking an additional delve into honing his archery skills. While they were on the higher end of his priority list. As with refining most of his skills. He was quite eager to pick up a new technique.

Seth thought a moment trying to figure out how best to word his request for training. "I have come to decide that I would like to learn some techniques which can be utilized as equally defensively, as they can be for utility and offense. I recently came to realize. That while I have a fundamental grasp of the concept of securing an living entity or a incoming energy projectile. I haven't really delved to much into the technical applications of it. It is an oversight which I feel would be beneficial to correct." Seth explained. In his own strange manner of coming to a conclusion of what would be best. Seth acknowledged he had a preference for offense. Though the more he aged. The more he had to start questioning his approaches and how they alligned to the beliefs and ideals of the order he was a part of, and more importantly how they alligned up to the force. He figured it was about time he picked up a skill or refined a skill. Which still could be used to his nature. While also being flexible in how it fit into things.
