OOC: On phone sorry!
Riven listened intently, being quiet and observant was always best, at least when it came down to dealin with politicians. Commenor was in their hands, they had to strive for greatness and nothing less. It wasn't about who or what, it was a matter of how and when. Riven knew what war looked like, the aftermath of cities torn asunder. If the opposition was to find gratification in Commenor's fall, then Riven would try and steer the children of tomorrow, clear of such a fate. He would do it through his strong and cunning words, careful and precise with his negotiations.
They were all equally intelligent, only one thing seemed off. All this talk of war and yet the threat had yet to declare. Defense was always a strong offense, something it seemed [member="Lord Sin"] was fully aware of. This would give them an edge on a full throttle attack, although that still remained to be seen. Embassies weren't only for growth and power, but also allies. Riven had realized that all of them were speaking as if there was no other choice, if any of the major players, slid into Commenor's orbit. Riven would do his best to prevent a fate, where Chasin City would be torn asunder. How? He would do it with reasoning a weapon far more defebaive than any shield. If anyone wanted Commenor as an ally or for beneficial relations, they would deal soley with him. It was odd that Riven found a position in [member="Lady Kay"]'s cabinet, but at the same time his throat for learning and meeting various cultures made him unique. His kindness wasn't a weakness, it was his greatest strength.
His earthly eyes shifted to Lord Sin when he heard it. A group of force users under Lord Sin's tutelage was an interesting prospect. He thought about the notion for a few seconds and it clicked. The thrum of his heart slowed, his calming aura maintained as he stepped into the dim light.
"If I may interject, Lord Sin, [member="Darben Skirae"], and [member="Titan Kryze"]. I've listened to you all and with everything on the table, first I'd like to address Darben's assessment." Riven stopped and straightened his navy blue jacket.
"I think that a trading hub would be a great idea, only I suggest that we continue to keep illegal sales far from Commenor as much as we can. Other than that, Lady Kay, I think allowing more free trade between us and other worlds would be highly benefical."
Riven looked to Titan Kryze and smiled, shifting his look to Sin.
"With your success Sin, it seems the planetary shielding will be a great measure of our resolve to protect those beneath it. However, you say that recruitment will happen here on Commenor, among the locals which I must say, is amazingly structured. This will allow the people of Commenor to rise against terrors in the future as to build a quicker trust, that you or I could attain. When you mentioned force users being a necessary weapon against a likely foe, where are you finding these force sensitives? How and what will you be teaching them? Also wouldn't finding gifted individuals to fight for our cause make us look like we are readying for war? If the Clans have forgotten us, they surely will notice our induction of force users bred for their defeat, not only them, perhaps the Sith, even the Jedi would be wary of our efforts to go to such lengths, when no threat is knocking on our door. Don't get me wrong, protection is needed, but if we are going to use force sensitives to protect others, we can not do it without careful supervision. The last thing we need is more attention, if it's war you are afraid of, why entice others to attack. Words could just as easily make an enemy into ally..."
Riven voiced his opposition, his guidance to those within the confines of the palace walls. He may not have been right or wrong, but he was strong in his delivery. Time would teach him many things, but this meeting would teach him what to do with it.
