A Most Peculiar of Meetings

It clawed into her gut, it tried to yank out what was left and all but Cyn could do was sadly bunker down and hug her knees to her chest. Her weak attempt to hold everything back in. Words muttered out, “Not going back,” repeatedly until her eyes opened wide but it looked she was stuck inside a dream, still in her head. Flashes of her memory appeared and the young boy with short messy white hair came to her mind. She cried a for single moment, she reached out with her right hand towards air but quickly clasped it back so it wrapped around her knees. “I don’t even know your name,” She muttered, her tears dried on her cargo pants, whipping them away. She slowly regained her composure as her dream evaporated. Sighing she slowly moved upward, her hands patting down her pants, straightening herself and her black jacket as she began to move towards the cockpit of her borrowed ship. Hundred times better than pickpocketing in her mind.

Her feet made little noise as she jumped over the chair and landed neatly enough, her eyes watched as the starlines continued to stretch all around her, around the ship a YT-510. A very small ship but it meant the world to her that the Twins allowed her to borrow their ship for the time being. Cyn’s destination, well she had little thought of it, after perhaps the second jump to chase away her pursuers, afterwards she hoped she could go back to her new friends. Her eyes focused on the small rubber ball that had been forgotten in the cockpit. Her smile grew as she picked it up and began to toss it between her hands. Cyn frowned as she continued to concentrate more on the ball before it finally stayed in midair for a few moment. Releasing her hold she sighed deeply as she began to relax on her chair. The starlines around her began to shrink and not before long they finally turned back into their small orbs of light. Cyn reached for the controls, the ship’s thrusters pushed along towards the planet Eclipstica. Cyn was curious, she wanted to know a bit more.

The planet looked breathtaking, practically a vibrant red hue ring that force Cyn to move as close to the cockpit window as much as she could to get a better look. What she learned was practically nothing of this planet but then again perhaps she could find a safe place for the moment and the fact her boredom was getting the better of her. The lack of the comm traffic slightly unnerved Cyn as she wondered who would contact her as she began to descend down the atmosphere. Her fingers nervously ran through her hair, assuring her it was still in a pony tail. Being brave was a lot harder than those HoloMovies she had watch made it appear.

The Black Gate - Eclipstica

The land was fairly close to the the Shadow Keep, but was a restricted area of the planet as it was purely a military contingent. Bases, airfields, and checkpoints were everywhere here. Restricted airspace meant those that flew over too low were brought down by Ion cannon emplacements. It was here that Romeo could be found at the moment, standing out in the rain along with a few squads of his Drakon Regiment. They were in the middle of drill instructions for new bloods.
“Sir, you really shouldn’t be out the in the rain, its not..” Romeo cut him off with a quick snap of his neck to look at the man. “Sergeant, it is rain, not bullets. I will be fine. Thank you for your concern though, it is well appreciated.”
His sergeant saluted him, and went back to at ease.
“Tell me Sergeant, do these men know why they are here?” The king asked him. With a blast from the whistle the drill sergeant had, the men stopped, and all lined up in a professional looking formation. The drill sergeant began yelling. “Does anyone here know why they are here!?”
There was silence for a few moments, only the sound of rain drizzling filled the air with something. Finally a young man stepped forward. “Sir!” The drill sergeant stepped beside him. “Go ahead son.”
The young man took a deep breath, and big gulp. “Sir! I am here to fight the Sith, and all the tyranny that comes to threaten peace for the galaxy! Sir!” The man took a few steps back into his formation. “Good job Private Heffio.” The drill sergeant implied the comment with a bit of mockery, obviously that was not the young man’s name.
“Good...good…” Romeo said as he walked up to the trainees. “That’s correct! You are all here, because you have the same beliefs in some shape, or size! You are here because you want to see the Sith gone as much as I do! You are here to be the dark guardians of the galaxy, to be the ones to strike when no one else is willing to do it! AND BECAUSE OF THIS YOU MAKE DAMN PROUD!” Romeo roared in encouragement. We turned to walk away from the men. His sergeant of security followed beside him. “Good speech sir.” He complemented his king. Romeo shook his head. “Most of the boys won’t see their families ever again... “ He said in a sad voice. “That is war sir, that is something they know can, and will happen...but they know someone has to do it.” Romeo stopped and looked at him. “Kar’yat does that make it okay? Does that justify the means of the end?” He leaned into his sergeants personal space so that only they were hear this. His sergeant laid a hand on Romeo shoulder. “Sir, in the larger scheme of the galaxy….yes. Those men’s lives don't count compared to what's coming...yours doesn't. What matters is the action you take, and don’t take.” Romeo sighed, and shook his head. “You’re right.” He said, and turned around, heading back to his speeder. “Sergeant have get a hot shower, and something warm to eat.” The drill sergeant saluted, and looked at his mem. “You heard the king, you done went and impressed him, got a reward for it!” Romeo opened the door to his speeder, and stepped in, slamming the door, and blocked the rest of what the man had to say. Turning the speeder on, he started his way back to home.

Her eyes located practically nothing, barren it seemed to Cyn's eyes as she lowered her ship to touch ground. Slowly moving down, leaving her things behind she exited out of her ship, taking a deep breathe of the air a small shiver shot down her spine. The air felt more than just cold to her but she breathed in deep once more, gathering more of her courage as she moved forward. Cyn couldn't see much of a wilderness but neither could she tell much what had exactly happened here on the ground.

The awe aspiring image she was presented certainly had diminished greatly the more time she was spending on the planet's open air. Her eyes though targeted the buildings further out in the distant, perhaps there she could find someone. Company of sorts she guessed. A small smile emerged as she stretched for a moment and took off with excited speed.

Cyn realized the distance was a tad much, pacing herself now she managed to conserved most of her energy. Finding still nothing to climb such as a tree, her face further frowned but now she was much closer so her pace was reduced to a walk as she continued her way. Spotting lights, her eyes widen slightly, crouching she slowly began to move forward with added caution. Maybe it was luck but she sneaked closer to the interesting looking town. Cyn could already make out a few buildings but before she could make certain herself a pair of Guards spotted her at their checkpoint.

Fear flashed across her face as she stared into the glowing red eyes of the guards. She had only one impulse at the moment and she tensed up to spring but before she could even take a single step the Guard's hand snapped forward and grasped onto her wrist. Cyn felt herself being yanked back and pushed herself and jumped up to follow the momentum of herself to flip over the guard holding her. Landing on her feet she was about to take off running but when she looked up she found another guard blocking her way.

"I'm here to see the King, requesting his presence" She said nervously, giving a half heart smile as well. She was scared and she knew this was not how she wanted to meet authority on this planet. Her plan to gather information at first completely falling over the way side. Raising her hands in defeat she was still unsure of what to do, her options were severally limited. "Want to see a cool trick?" She asked, digging out her rubber ball, slowly raising it in the air on her palm. Giving an awkward laugh, she tensely looked around the black guards.

A few hours later in his drive to the city, Romeo saw something happening near the outskirts of the place. A wet, black speeder with a white top was coming in from behind her. It slowed down just enough to stop by the guards. Romeo's eyes shifted to the two guards, and then the young lady as he rolled his window down.
"Sir, this girl wishes to speak with you." They ignored her ball, they knew it was the force, they had seen it a many times here on the planet. "She is a force user m'lord." The second one spoke. Romeo eyed the girl more, and then shifted his gaze to the ball.
"You wish to see me young one?" He said in a cold, but very soft tone. His hair was still dripping wet, and his clothes soaked. "Well.." He began as he opened his door. "You have found yourself a king, but am I the true king you seek, or am I you're worst nightmare?" He stood up straight as he was now finally out of the speeder. His red eyes stared into hers. "You know where you are child?" He stepped forward to her. The two guards positioned themselves behind her. "I dont think you do..."

Her head turned slowly as her eyes focused on the speeder that approached them. Cyn silently gulped as she realized, or rather felt, that she would be meeting the king a lot sooner than she had first hoped. Turning the rest of her body she waited as the guards conversed with whoever was inside the speeder. A man stepped out, standing some bit taller than her but he radiated authority. Fear gripped her heart but her legs remained firm and planted on the ground. The king. . . Her mind thought as the man introduced himself to her, moving ever closer and closer to Cyn.

Her ball dropped on the ground, her hands twitching slightly as she remained silently for a moment. Cyn hardly knew what to say but as of now, she had no way to run away from this, but something deep inside of her told she shouldn't. Not because of fear, but her curiosity was getting the better of her. Taking in a deep breath she shot her arm out for a handshake her eyes closed shut out of fear, "I am Cynthia Alucard, my King," Cyn introduced herself. "And your name?" She asked with genuine curiosity as she slowly opened her eyes. No she wasn't fearless, just curious enough.

With a small gesture with his hand, the ball lifted up, and into his palm. He handed the ball back to her with a smile. "I am Romeo Sin." He shook his head back, and forth, shaking off the water. "She's fine guys, take the day off, and go see your families." He said to the two guards, his eyes looked back at the young woman. His red eyes shifted a few colors before returning back to their normal blood red. Romeo sighed, and and make a small movement with his hand, and the passenger side door of his speeder opened. "Come, lets go for a ride, and you can explain yourself on the way there. As far as I see it, you really dont have a choice anyways, and I think the force brought you here for a reason. Besides...not everyone gets to ride with the Shadow King in his speeder, and live to tell the tale."
He leaned back on his speeder, waiting to hear her response. On the horizon, the rain storm from which he had been riding away from roared towards them in a slow crawl. "I mean, unless you like walking in the rain, this can be done too." He chuckled a little, and watched the two guards get on their speeders, and speed off into the city. "Miss Cynthia Alucard, you dont have much time to make a decision, rain? Or the ride?"

She slowly opened her eyes more as she noticed the ball slowly land onto her palm. Cyn gave a half smile as she tentatively brought her ball back and slipped it into her pocket. Nodding once to his introduction, Romeo Sin, she quickly glanced around her at the guards strangely though did not exactly feel less anxious. Looking back over to Romeo she tilted her head slightly as she gave a curious stare into his eyes. Focusing a tad too much she blinked a few times as she shook herself to remind herself that she was being asked a question.

Cyn looked up briefly at the mention of rain, her eyes scanned the horizon before once more landing on Romeo Sin. She would not have minded the rain as much but, "The speeder then," she finally mustered out, she possibly did not wish to inconvenience her own host of walking in the rain once more. She willed her feet to move forward and towards the speeder. She climb into the passenger side of the speeder and quickly clasped her hands in front of her as she twiddled her thumbs.

Her anxiety slowly building up once more as she waited for Romeo Sin. "You say not everyone has lived to tell to the tale of riding with you, either you're an amazing driver or a terrible one depending on perspective," Cyn said off handily before quickly turning crimson red on her cheeks, "Sorry! I meant no offense! I just say things without thinking first, a common thing I'm not mean I swear," She quickly apologized as she gestured with her hands shaking at him.

Romeo smiled, a small glean in his eyes as she moved to the passenger side of the speeder, and got in. Stepping in himself, Romeo looked at the woman as he started the speeder, and began to pull away from their parking spot. He chuckled to her assumption. "No, no. It mainly cause I kill them with my hands." He turned the autopilot on. "So, this is what I know, you came here seeking something, something guided you here to seek me out, and you dont even know WHO I am in the first place. Now, I have a lightsider in my speeder, what do I do with her?" He looked at her with that small glean in his eyes, and smirk on his face. "Should I be cautious? Maybe I should be relaxed, and honored? That would be nice. Or should I feel nothing at all? Are you merely a nobody, whom seeks me out, and got lucky?" He held his hand out. "Lend me you hand, if you will."

Cyn looked nervous at the correction of how other people before her could not tell others after their own interaction with Romeo Sin and again fear crept up inside of her she slowly gulped down. It was paramount that lying should not be something she do in front of this man. Not that I would lie in the first place Cyn thought nervously. Her fingers wrapped around one another as she turned her head to face downwards formulating some sort of response.

"I'm not the one to answer questions of 'What should I feel,' that privilege should belong to one's own self," Cyn started, slowly looking back to focus on Romeo Sin, "But to all your other questions well, I came down here because I was curious," She said honestly, "Your planet looked very beautiful and awesome to me from space," Cyn explained slowly uncurling her fingers off of one another. "And myself? I'm curious, really I am, I'm not exactly the bravest person but I am curious enough to venture forward," Cyn finished as she focused more on him offering a small smile.

Romeo chuckled softly. "So, when the next I decide to put your fate into your own hands, I'll remember that I have the full control of what I should do with you." He stiffed a little. "Indeed, the darkness here is beautiful, we have.." He checked his watch on the speeder. "another forty five minutes till the eclipsing." He smiled. "You're braver then you think, coming, requesting me outwardly so. People either want me dead, or want something from me when they ask for me." He leaned in. "Still, you ignored my request, may I hold you hand for only but a second?" He smirked a little, this was a trick request to which Romeo would give the reason behind when she answered.

Squirming slightly in her seat she shook her head once, "I said you can feel freely, never said anything about doing anything to me, I belong to me after all," Cyn said looking at her clenched fists, her voice turning a tad colder near the end. Cyn would never go back to where she can no longer make her own choices. Never go back A thought passed through her as she tried to shrug off the memories. She listened to his next comment of people that he usually meets, offer a sad smile. "Maybe you should find people that are willing to give you something, instead of meeting people that want to take from you," Cyn suggested softly, removing the tension in her hands.

Quickly relaxing she gave Romeo a curious face, she looked at her left hand and back to him. Slowly she stretched her hand and held it out for him. "Why do you need to hold my hand for?" Cyn asked it wasn't like a handshake or a form of greeting either.
