Private A New Adventure

Learning to be a Jedi? The thought was somewhat foreign to the teen who sat in the co-pilot's seat of Kahlil's ship; staring out the viewport. "The feeling of freedom doesn't seem to fade. Every time I see the stars, it's breathtaking." Kade said as he looked down to R6. He would let out a laugh. "You probably don't care about that kind of stuff. Nevertheless, I'm glad I was able to repair you." Kade said as he patted the droid.

The hoodrat stood and exited the cockpit, making his way to the common room, where random parts sat scattered across the room. "Kahlil? You in here? R6 is caught up on all his repairs." The teen called as he walked through the room. "I was hoping to learn more about this Jedi thing." Kade said as he made himself comfortable in an armchair. "Oh and sorry about the mess, I couldn't find a part I needed so I kinda tore up the ship looking for it." Kade called out again hoping Kahlil was in earshot.

Kade Kade could probably guess that R6 was laughing by the trill. Nothing offensive, just a lighthearted chuckle from the droid before it rolled off to do some various tasks to keep the ship running. Kahlil made his way into the common room, looking plenty tired as he started towards the kitchen to make up some coffee for himself. He hadn't noticed the mess, though once Kade brought it up his gaze turned to the boy, then the mess.

"Ha. It's all good. Just make sure to clean up, yeah?" There was a similarly lighthearted chuckle from the man as he finally got his cup ready and started to sip at it. "I can tell ya whatever you wanna know. Where would ya like to start?"

At the sound of Kahlil's voice Kade would turn his head to see the groggy face of his new friend. The man said not to worry about the mess as song as it was cleaned up later. Kade smirked, then nodded. "Dunno if you wanna have a hoodrat clean up, it might be messier than before." Kade said as he propped his legs up on the side of the chair.

The teen watched as Kahlil prepared his coffee, it seemed as if he'd gone through the process hundreds of times. Even with all the parts scattered around the counter, the jedi was able to prepare his coffee effortlessly. After finally taking a sip, Kahlil said the Hoodrat could ask anything he'd like to know.

"Well for starters, what's this training going to be about? I mean I've learned a bit, but is there anything in particular you're going to teach me?" the teen asked.

"Hoodrat cleaning huh?" Kahlil paused his morning coffee ritual to glance to R6. "R6'll help ya figure it out. Then you'll be in charge of cleaning the ship. Gotta get you more involved with the day to day maintenance right?" He flashed a smile to Kade Kade as he made his way to his own seat across from the teen. There was a lengthy sip as he mulled over the question, mostly to stall. What was he going to teach? Kahlil wasn't much of a Jedi himself, at least not in the sense that he understood the grander scheme that the Jedi Orders did.

"I'm going to teach you what it means to be one with the Force."

"Yeah, no point in bumming around, might as well make myself useful." Kade said with a nod as he watched Kahlil take a long sip of his coffee. Kade smirked. "You know that stuff stunts your growth." the Hoodrat laughed.

"But in all seriousness, you intend to teach me about being one with the force? Sounds a bit boring to say the least." Kade admitted as he sat up normally in the chair.

"But I guess I'll bite. It might turn out to be very interesting." Kade smiled. He had to admit, this concept was still very strange to him.
