A New Arrival [Open]

Location: Padawan Quarters on Voss.
Time until departure: Ten minutes.

Jost Garr sat peacefully on the floor of his quarters, his legs were crossed and his eyes closed. The Padawan was meditating one last time in his quarters before he left them for good, when he left for Rhen Var. He took a deep breath in and held it for a few moments before releasing it. He had become quite proficient at his meditation since his arrival on Voss. Jost struggled with it at first. He couldn't clear his head, thoughts of his past always clouded his mind. But now... Now he was able to push those thoughts away and just focus on his positive emotions. Finally being able to just be at ease was... peaceful. Which was something new to the Togruta, due to his punished past.

Jost anticipated the door opening before it did, and he opened his eyes. On the other side was one of the crewmen of the ship that was transporting the Padawan to Rhen Var. "We're ready to make the journey, son." Jost let out a small smile as he gently got to his feet. "I am ready to depart, sir." Jost grabbed his one bag from the floor and followed the man to their ship.

The journey felt long, probably longer than it actually was. Jost was not going to lie to himself, he was quite nervous to arrive. He did not know what to expect from this planet. He knew it would be cold, so he made sure to pack heavier clothes than he had normally worn on Voss. Aside from that, he knew his experience on the planet would be difficult, but it was the best way to gain real experience, the Padawan felt. "We've got five minutes left now, young Padawan." Jost smirked at the man's comment, and prepared himself to land.

The shuttle landed on the landing pad of the Citadel, and Jost was the first to step foot on the cold planet. Bag in hand, he looked around the beautiful mountain. It was quite chilly, and Jost was glad he brought heavier clothes. Once done taking in the environment, the Padawan began to make his way for the entrance of the Citadel.

Location: In front of the statue of the Jedi outside of the Citadel.

Jost Garr stood under the statue of the Jedi, looking and admiring. He knew not of who the Jedi was, but he felt a slight sorrow for them nonetheless. The lone Jedi sat out here in the cold, standing constant vigil over this Citadel and those inside. While he kept his gaze on the statue, he opened his bag and piled on some of his heavier clothing. Gingerly, he shut the bag and set it down. Slowly, he lowered himself down to the ground, next to the bag. Sitting cross-legged, the Togrutan Padawan began to meditate.

He did not meditate terribly long, as he has not grown accustomed to the cold. However when he deemed sufficient, Jost stood to his feet and picked up his bag once again. With a slight smile, he walked up to the heavy doors of the Citadel and pushed them open. Jost Garr walked inside. The first thing he noticed was the blue flame seated in the center of the courtyard. He paused yet again, giving the flame his attention. He glanced around once again, he was hoping to find the living quarters and place his things before exploring the rest of the Citadel.

She could feel something in the force and around them everything was swirling. The citadel itself was a massive and well improved area of the world. As she felt the synth mesh and weave throughout the planet itself. The solari made it a beacon of the lightside of the force and all around you could see the improvements that were working on many things. She herself though was moving around as she held the saber in her hand and extended it moving with the kata as she switched the length from shoto to a polearm and using it with a practiced grace as she felt others with the force energies. Someone else was here and she didn't know who they were. "Welcome." She said it from above on one of the walkways looking down into the courtyard where the fireglass braziers were lighting up the area.

Jost Garr was glancing around when a voice from above said "Welcome." Instantly, Jost turned to face the voice. With a slight bow, the Padawan spoke, "Thank you. My name is Jost Garr. I'm new to this world, as I'm sure you're aware." He finished speaking, and gave [member="Orihime Ike"] and large smile. The Togruta was glad to meet another Jedi. The pilots that had brought him to Rhen Var were friendly enough, but Jost hadn't started any sort of real conversation with them. Perhaps it had been his nerves, but either way Jost was a very social being. On top of that, he was very eager to begin his assignment on Rhen Var.

Jost re-adjusted the bag on his back and took a few steps in Orihime's direction, to make their upcoming conversation a little bit easier. All the while, the Padawan kept a smile on his face.

She was looking at him and as he came closer she was wondering but well welcomed new people. Standing there for a moment as her saber was in her hand for a moment before it collapsed into a small baton she slid onto her belt when she was in the comfy robe. it was a very nice thing until she saw all of them. There were other jedi around here like Theo and Sorel who usually came around at times to do things before she stuck around finding a small place to sit on the reworked walls and sections. "Well most people are new here, this isn't a place many come to normally."

Jost stood straight as he was talking to Orihime, he didn't want to make a bad impression. "I know. When I told some of my fellow padawans back on Voss, most hadn't even known of Rhen Var." He paused for a moment, then cleared his throat and continued. "I'm looking forward to staying here. I've got to admit, I'm almost entirely inexperienced. I was hoping that bringing myself to Rhen Var would help me with that." He finished. Jost crossed his hands in front of him, keeping his gaze on Orihime.

Now she was just looking at him confused while she pointed to the Domed room with the large interactive map that was built in all fo the temples and that her family had made for all fo the worlds to learn together in real time. "That seems hard, we are able to easily communicate with Voss and I know the several ships that move people around." She had some thoughts about it but was looking to see what else there was. if he was that inexperienced he might be trying to figure things out but should be always paying attention.

Jost nodded quickly, "Yes, it just wasn't common knowledge of those that I associated with. They preferred to keep to themselves and their studies, with no intention of learning about the rest of the galaxy." Jost recalled talking so much about Rhen Var and the Silver Watch when he decided to join. It wasn't something that most Padawans had a chance of doing, and he was quite glad he had been given the opportunity.

Jost spoke once again, "I do not think I caught your name?"

She looked at him but her face remained neutral at that. Seemed strange and somethign she would ask her mother about... why else have a mother who was a master or a best friend like Sorel and Joa who were masters. Made all of the things better before she spoke. "I am Orihime." She offered a smile and was moving as the large jijarna stone doors of the citadel itself closed and the rich crystal webbed veins of the marble walls gave a glow when she got near. "And this is the citadel of the silver water, dozens of levels of housing with food stores and training rooms including an expansive crystal cave and transportation system to the mountains around us."

Jost bowed his head when Orihime told him her name. "Nice to meet you, Orihime." He then listened as she told him of the Citadel. Of the levels of housing, of the training rooms and of the crystal caves and transportation systems. It seemed like a very nice place to take up his new residence. "I am looking forward to beginning my duties here. The Citadel appears to be a very nice place."

"it is, the different centers of for computers also have access to the Library the jedi monolith that has been built to house everything." She was proud of that, she, Sorel, Theo, others had all helped with the grand thing and anything here information wise could connect with Rose the AI gatekeeper that maintained the massive structures information banks to get it for themselves on some of their chevron tactical pads. "Do you have any experience with the jedi?"

Jost nodded. "Yes, I was on Voss for a year." Jost left it at that, while he was very inexperience he didn't want to come off as such. He truly only knew the very basics of just about everything. Jost decided to wait for what Orihime was going to say next, with his hands crossed in front of him.

"That doesn't tell me anything, you could have been in a coma for a year for all I know." She said it not to be mean but she also wasn't one for twenty questions to get at basic information while walking with her attention on the rest of the citadel as others were walking around with equipment. She was going inside the one room and heading towards the mess hall with the crates of food stuffs she couldf get at and eat.
