Private A New Beginning - Becoming a Jedi

Transport Shuttle Travelling to Coruscant

A new day set upon the Galaxy in many worlds the time had come for a teenage, male Besalisk to make his way for the Jedi Temple. Originally born on the planet called Ojom but the Besalisk's family had been attacked by employees from the Hutt Cartel causing a conflict upon Ojom. Separated from his family and kin, Tyron was evacuated with close family friends that had a clan and community upon the planet of Bastion. He had been welcomed with open arms by the clan elders and other members, grew up in becoming quite a strong but raw warrior to some. It was during a hike with other younglings of various that Tyron discovered his abilities in the Force. A landslide was hurling down towards his fellows and unconsciously under the circumstances the Besalisk had channelled the Force through his four palms to emit a telekinetic push to send his friends into a cavern entrance. A crew came to rescue the group that were trapped in the debris by the cavern's mouth and thankfully Tyron was able to save their lives. The elders were stunned to learn of the incident that unfolded upon the group and with their resources had sent Tyron off in a shuttle to find the Jedi Order on Coruscant.

The previous events were on Tyron's mind as he was sat in a passenger's seat on the transport shuttle and the Besalisk was finally informed by the onboard voice recorder that the shuttle had arrived in the docking bay near the Jedi Temple grounds. He got out of the shuttle and began to make his way off to the Temple it seemed unconsciously the Force energy he was feeling again had been acting as his guide. He finally reached the entrance of the Jedi Temple where the energy Tyron detected through his senses was immense. Now the question was where to begin? This was going to be an obstacle for Tyron to overcome. It was quite the grand feature to come across the Jedi Temple, and there are so many Jedi ranging from Younglings to Elders from the Besalisk's perspective. The Jedi Order was going to become apart of his life now, he came here of his own will and made the decision to be come a Jedi but he had to find the individuals to speak with.

Valery stepped out of the Temple, her long robes flowing gently behind her as a cool breeze swept through the courtyard. The sunlight reflected off the polished stone steps, casting a warm glow over the area, and her fiery eyes immediately landed on the towering young Besalisk standing at the base of the grand staircase. He was hard to miss, his four arms shifting slightly as he gazed up at the Temple with a mixture of awe and nervous determination.

With a welcoming smile, Valery descended the steps toward him, her presence calm and steady — a reassuring beacon amidst the bustling activity of the Temple grounds.

"Welcome to the Jedi Temple," she said, her voice warm but carrying an authority that spoke to her role within the Order. "You must be Tyron."

She stopped a few steps away from him, giving him space to adjust to his surroundings. Her gaze softened as she studied him briefly, sensing the swirl of emotions and curiosity radiating from him. "I'm Master Valery Noble," she continued. "I'm here to guide you through your first steps with the Jedi Order."

Tilting her head slightly, she added with a touch of kindness, "How was your journey? I imagine it's been quite the adventure to get here." Her tone was inviting, encouraging him to share whatever thoughts or feelings he had as he took in the magnitude of this life-changing moment.

The First Encounter

Upon arriving in the Jedi Temple being at the bottom of one in many staircases throughout the Temple, Tyron was stunned with the designed structure featured within the Jedi Temple. He couldn't get over how many Jedi members had strolled on by, all different species as well some he hadn't seen before. The Besalisk saw many Jedi bow and nod their heads as a sign of respect and greeting one another before having conversations with each other. Tyron made a mental note of that in case he were to meet any Jedi that approached him although it didn't look like many were for the time being. He appeared to look like a brute with how his body was built for a young teenager and he towered quite a lot of Jedi, Knights and Masters included let alone students.

The Besalisk's sights had settled upon seeing a woman coming down the stairwell as he was rather nervous in engaging with any Jedi members of the Order. It was rather daunting for him yet who could blame this was his first time being at the centre of such a busy environment and a different to that. Tyron took a few steps back from the base of the stairwell as Valery came down to greet him.

"Oh hello miss, y-yes I'm Tyron, Tyron Khan." The Besalisk said as he remembered to bow the upper half of his body like he had witnessed when other Jedi members were interacting with each other. Rose back up from the bowed motion he performed. There was this authority and calming presence oozing out from Valery when she spoke to Tyron. It was helping the young Besalisk with his nerves gradually but it sure was intense here.

Tyron was relieved that Valery Noble was going to guide him towards his first steps in the Jedi Order, becoming a Jedi and the Besalisk probably had a rush of emotions and thoughts. He was doing his best to contain himself and be polite towards the Master that spoke with him. "Oh you are? I'm grateful for your guidance Master.. Uh.. Valery..?" He unsure how to address her verbally.

"Well, it was quite a long one. It has been.. Exciting and daunting at the same time master." Tyron replied and Valery would be able to tell that the Besalisk teenager was flooded with various emotions and thoughts going around his mind at the moment. "There are so many questions on my mind.. How I am.. Different from others back home.." Tyron was trying to get himself together.

Tyron was ready to follow and listen to Valery as she was making herself available to guide him. The journey into a new aspect of his life had begun, on the horizon this Besalisk was going to become a Jedi. Under the right guidance, teaching and training the Jedi Order will find Tyron becoming quite the asset for the Galactic Alliance and New Jedi Order in the upcoming future.

Valery's warm smile deepened as Tyron introduced himself, his nerves evident in his posture and tone. She could feel the swirl of emotions within him — excitement, apprehension, curiosity — all of it mingling in the young Besalisk's heart. It was a natural reaction, one she'd seen countless times before in new arrivals, and she intended to make his transition as smooth as possible.

"You're doing just fine, Tyron," Valery reassured him gently, her fiery eyes radiating warmth and understanding. "And you can call me Master Valery or Master Noble, whichever feels more comfortable for you. Titles are meant to guide respect, but what's most important is building trust and understanding."

She stepped slightly closer, though not enough to overwhelm him, and gestured toward the stairs leading up into the Temple. "A long journey can be both exciting and tiring," she said, her voice steady and encouraging. "Take a deep breath — you're here now, and that's what matters. One step at a time."

She paused, giving him a moment to let her words settle before continuing. "And as for those questions on your mind... there's no rush to answer them all at once. The path of a Jedi is a journey, not a race. We'll take the time to help you understand yourself and your connection to the Force."

Valery gestured for him to follow her as she turned to ascend the stairs. "Let me show you around and introduce you to the Temple. There's so much to see and learn, and we'll make sure you're prepared for the exciting road ahead. If you have any questions along the way, ask me anything. I'm here to guide and support you."

Her calm, steady demeanor and open offer of support made it clear that Tyron didn't have to face this new chapter alone. As they began their ascent, the Temple's grandeur and the hum of activity seemed to fade into the background, leaving space for Tyron to take his first steps into the life of a Jedi with someone who genuinely believed in him.

The Upper Temple

Tyron let out a sigh of relief as he exhaled out from his lungs through his mouth, gradually yet slowly the Besalisk's emotions were settling down and his mind was beginning to clear from the flood of thoughts that roamed around within there. It sounded like Valery had been here herself and there for future generations of new Jedi that walked the same path he is walking now. It indeed has filled Tyron with a feeling and sense of pride oddly enough. He may welcoming the Lightside of the Force emitting around the Temple grounds that guided him spiritually.

"I am master?" Tyron questioned as it caught him by surprise. The look from Valery's face did give the Besalisk some reassurance as they continued discussing matters between each other. "Right.. Master Noble, mhm. I hope to carry on the respect and grace all other Jedi display unto others." He said to the Jedi Grandmaster although the Besalisk does not know Valery was in fact thee Jedi Grandmaster of the Jedi Order.

The encouraging words from Valery had driven some inspiration through Tyron as she closed some distance between them both. Noticed her gesture towards the stairwell as she was leading the way for him to follow. "Yeah, I mean, yes it was a long journey Master Noble." Tyron replied as he begins his ascent up the steps to follow her along. The Besalisk took a deep breath and relaxed more as he began following Valery's lead. It seems the hustle and bustle in the background was fading the further Tyron ascended.

"The Force.. Is that what I felt and used back home..? I had no idea I was capable of such master." Tyron said as he was reflecting back to when he learned that there was something different with him back home. "What is the Force to the Jedi, Master Noble?" Raised his first question to the Grandmaster as he walked along side her to explore the Temple grounds in the upper levels.

There was indeed so much already for Tyron to dive into as he and Valery began to roam other parts of the Jedi Temple. It seems as if the nerves he once had did in fact wash away from his body and mind. A difference quite noticeable among other Jedi members and the Grandmaster as the Besalisk began to take his first steps down the path of a Jedi.

Valery glanced over at Tyron as he asked his question, a soft smile tugging at her lips. She could see his nerves beginning to settle, his curiosity and wonder replacing the initial apprehension. It was a good sign — the mark of someone ready to embrace the journey ahead.

"You felt it back home, Tyron," Valery confirmed, her tone warm and encouraging. "The Force is what allowed you to act instinctively and do the remarkable things you've done."

She gestured with a hand as they continued to ascend the Temple's steps, the grandeur of its architecture coming into view around them. "To the Jedi, the Force is both a guide and an ally. It empowers us to protect those in need, to bring balance to the galaxy, and to grow not just as Jedi, but as individuals. It's not about power for power's sake — it's about using the Force responsibly, with compassion and wisdom."

Her fiery eyes shifted to him, gauging his reaction to her words. "You'll learn to deepen your connection to the Force here, to understand it better and allow it to guide your actions. It's a journey of self-discovery as much as it is about learning new skills."

Valery led Tyron through the main entrance, the Temple's grand hall stretching out before them with its polished floors, towering columns, and bustling activity. Jedi of all ages and species moved about — some were in deep discussion, others meditating or sparring in the distance.

"This is the heart of the Temple," she said, her voice filled with pride. "It's a place where we train, meditate, and work together to uphold peace and justice. But it's also a place where you'll grow, forge friendships, and discover who you are meant to be."

Jedi Temple Grand Hall

The Besalisk continued to follow Valery as they made their way up the stairwell they used to get up to the Grand Hall of the Jedi Temple. Tyron then listened to what the Jedi Grandmaster had said to him as answer to the question he raised. Now with the answers Valery had provided to Tyron this was starting to open up his mind to what the Elders had said to him before departing Bastion to arrive here on Coruscant. A few other Jedi members can detect and see the wonder, the awe within Tyron as he speaks with Valery.

Once the pair arrived at the entrance of the Jedi Temple's Grand Hall it really did leave Tyron wondering how many Jedi members there are in the Galaxy. Seeing all different species of individuals meditating in gardens, lessons being taught in classrooms and Jedi sparring one another in training arenas. When Tyron glanced into one of the training arenas and saw the Lightsabers clashing against each other by their users. It drew Tyron in possibly wanting to learn how to become a combatant for the Jedi Order. "So.. It was my instincts that allowed me to use the Force?" The Besalisk questioned as he moved his attention back to Valery.

He couldn't believe what his body and mind were feeling and thinking as it seemed like it just continues as Valery lets him see other Jedi and other facilities within the Jedi Temple. "Oh, so this might explain why I am picking up different feelings? It is the Force guiding me here as if it is an ally leading me to the Jedi Order, Master Noble?" Tyron had asked when she had mentioned what the Force can be regarded as within the Jedi or is. "I do want to defend and protect others in the Galaxy, master. I don't know why but after events back home. It felt weird when I reflected back on it all." The Besalisk added.

It seems that the journey continued on for Tyron as Valery spoke with him about the opportunities and possibilities being available through the Jedi were perhaps endless. He took onboard what the Grandmaster was sharing with him in how to grow as an individual, socializing with other Jedi members, to eventually become the best version of himself as an individual. His attention went back to one of the training arenas when he heard the Lightsaber beams clashing against one another. "Master Noble what are those?" Tyron asked as he stopped to see how the Jedi sparred against each other in the training arena he was slowly heading towards.

Tyron was stood just outside of the training arena as he wandered off a bit to watch the Jedi combatants engage with one another in what he assumed was their training sessions. The appeal of combat training really did leave quite the impression upon Tyron as he continued to spectate. A few young students within the Jedi Temple's grounds were nervous when seeing the six foot 3 inch tall Besalisk teenager but of course they were reassured with Valery Noble being present. They knew she was inducting, introducing and welcoming Tyron as a new member of the Jedi Order. The adventure continues for the soon-to-be Jedi Besalisk in the New Jedi Order under the Galactic Alliance.

Valery's smile deepened as she listened to Tyron's questions, his curiosity and wonder radiating from him as he took in the sights of the Temple. She could see the spark in his eyes as he began to connect the dots, his understanding of the Force starting to take shape.

"Yes," Valery replied warmly, her voice carrying a sense of encouragement. "Your instincts allowed you to act in ways that most people wouldn't. The Force flows through all living things, but for some, like you, it speaks louder. It guides your actions, heightens your awareness, and enables you to do extraordinary things when you listen to it."

As they walked further, Valery paused for a moment, gesturing toward the vibrant activity around them. "The Force isn't just something you feel in moments of instinct or danger. It's all around you, in every life form, in the air we breathe, and even in the stars. It's that connection that brought you here. It led you to this place and to us because it knows you have the heart and the potential to make a difference."

She glanced toward the training arena where Tyron's attention had drifted, his awe evident as he watched the lightsabers clash with vivid energy. A soft chuckle escaped her lips. "Those are lightsabers," Valery explained, stepping closer to the edge of the training arena to stand beside him. "They are the traditional weapons of the Jedi, but they are much more than tools of combat. A lightsaber is an extension of the Jedi who wields it, a symbol of our commitment to peace and justice."

Valery's fiery gaze turned to meet his. "We train with them not because we seek violence, but because we must be prepared to defend ourselves and those who cannot defend themselves. Combat is a skill we develop with care, discipline, and a sense of responsibility. With time, training, and trust in the Force, you could wield a lightsaber not just as a weapon, but as a tool to protect and serve others."

Valery gestured toward the training students in the arena. "Come on, let's take a closer look. I'll show you what they're doing and answer any questions you have."

Tyron listened to what Valery was saying to him in her explanation of what the Force is to her and the Jedi, as well as the rest of the New Jedi Order. It was starting to make some kind of sense for the Besalisk albeit he is young and still learning to understand life in general alas this is apart of his future lifestyle now. He was following what the Jedi Grandmaster was saying to him about how the Force operates and works within the Galaxy and life.

"So, the Force it's.. Energy is everywhere, in everyone and everything..? Master?" Tyron questioned as he was displaying the impression of seeking out more knowledge from Valery. This really did leave the Besalisk having more thoughts, possibilities and opportunities with how the Force is in general to Force Sensitives.

"The Force did lead me here.. Master. I think I get it but isn't there evil out there too? Some travellers I overheard mention there isn't just the Jedi out in the Galaxy." The Besalisk looked down to Valery waiting to hear her answers to the questions he posed to her as they were walking through the Grand Hall of the Jedi Temple upper level.

"A light.. Saber..? Weapon of the Jedi..? Huh. An extension to the user.. Hmm. They look like laser swords Master Noble. Look.. Dangerous to use." Tyron said to Valery as she explained to him what the Lightsabers were to a Jedi. She can see Tyron was growing more interested in both combat and the Lightsaber when she had mentioned it is used to defend, protect and serve other individuals within the Galaxy.

Tyron glanced down to Valery as he takes his focus away from the Lightsaber beams clashing against each other as the two were at the edge of the training arena. A smile formed on the Besalisk's face as Valery met his gaze while she said with time, studying and training he can possess a Lightsaber to serve others in the Galaxy.
"I can defend and protect others someday with one?" The excitement and enthusiasm was rising within Tyron.

Tyron followed the Jedi Master's lead as she gestured for him to examine and watch closely to learn what the Jedi Students were doing in the training arena with their Lightsabers. It did look like for Tyron there was a lot, quite a lot to the art of Lightsaber Combat he was witnessing.

Valery's fiery gaze softened as she listened to Tyron's thoughtful questions, the spark of curiosity in his voice reminding her of so many younglings and Padawans who had walked this same path before him. His wonder and enthusiasm were contagious, and she couldn't help but smile warmly.

"That's exactly right," she began, nodding as they moved closer to the edge of the training arena. "The Force is energy that flows through all living things. It connects everything in the galaxy — every person, every creature, every planet. For some, that connection is faint, almost imperceptible. But for you, it's strong. It called to you and led you here because you have the potential to understand it, to work with it, and to use it to help others."

She paused, glancing back toward the training students whose movements were precise and deliberate, their lightsabers casting glimmers of light against the polished floor.

"But you're right about evil, too," Valery continued, her tone growing more serious. "There are those who use the Force for darker purposes. We call them Sith or Dark Side users. They draw on anger, fear, and hatred to twist the Force into something destructive. Where Jedi use the Force to bring peace and protect life, the Sith use it to dominate and control. It's why we train, Tyron — to stand against that darkness and be a light for others."

As Tyron's excitement grew at the mention of wielding a lightsaber, Valery chuckled softly, her expression warm. "They may look dangerous," she admitted, gesturing toward the glowing blades clashing in the arena, "But in the hands of a Jedi, a lightsaber is a tool for protection, not aggression. It's not about being the strongest or the fastest — it's about being disciplined, focused, and guided by the Force."

"And during training, we can adjust the power output of the lightsaber. They won't cause any harm." Just some light bruising, at most.

"One day, when you've had enough training, you will be able to use it to protect others."

Tyron was listening to Valery as she confirmed what his thoughts were in regards to how he understood the Force being explained to him by the Jedi Grandmaster. There definitely was quite a lot to take in and study when he attends classes and lessons revolving around the Force. A smile formed along his face as Tyron was learning many new things already it seemed he had a fascination to gain more knowledge.

"We can use the Force to help others too? Wow.." Tyron questioned as he thought about what possibilities are available for Jedi capable of using the Force, the Light side, to help others within the Galaxy. "How would we help in using the Force master?" Tyron asked Valery as he was curious to learn more.

The Besalisk's eyes drifted back towards the Jedi students sparring each other as their lightsaber beams continued to clash and parry off from the strikes being performed.
"The Dark side.. The Sith.. They use the Force to cause harm to others.. Be in control and dominate so we're here. To stop the darkness from controlling and twisting others." Tyron stated to Valery as they watch the sparring continue on.

The subject of a lightsaber being discussed and explained further by the Jedi Grandmaster as the new Jedi was learning from listening to her explanations in how Jedi recognise and use lightsabers.
"We use the lightsaber to protect others never out of aggression. It's seen as a tool, not just a weapon, hmm." Tyron was gradually picking up what Valery had explained to him putting his own views and words together.

"Be disciplined, focused and let the Force guide us.. I see." The Besalisk taking the Grandmaster's wise words on board and not take them for granted as he observes the training continue.

"I'm eager to begin my training Master."

Valery watched Tyron carefully as he spoke, the way his excitement blended with thoughtful reflection. He was putting the pieces together, seeing the larger picture of what it meant to be a Jedi, and that alone brought a warmth to her expression.

"You see a lot already," she said, nodding approvingly. "The Force isn't just about power or ability — it's about purpose. We use it to heal the wounded, to sense danger before it comes, to guide those who are lost. Sometimes, it's as simple as reaching out to someone in pain, letting them feel that they're not alone."

She glanced at him, "That's how we help. That's why we stand against the darkness — not just to fight, but to protect, to heal, to bring balance where there is none."

A small smirk tugged at Valery's lips as she turned fully toward him, hands resting on her hips. "You're eager to begin?" she echoed, amusement flickering in her fiery gaze. "Good. That's the mindset you'll need."

She motioned for him to follow, stepping toward a rack of training sabers along the edge of the arena. "No real combat yet," she warned, picking up one of the hilts and tossing it to him. "But let's see how you handle the weight of a lightsaber. Get a feel for it. We'll start with the basics."

Tyron smiled over to Valery as the two continued their conversation with each other. He has been learning rather quickly with the words said to him by the Jedi Grandmaster. It appeared Tyron was understanding the terminology in what Valery has explained to him so far. A very good sign and the Besalisk being well on his way as a Jedi.

"Jedi use the Force to defend and heal others, as well as themselves? Hah. Now that is something master." Tyron said as he was soaking in what Valery had explained to him about how the Force is recognised in her perspective and with other Jedi. "I'd like to aid and support others; regain their confidence and bring them hope, reassurance."

"I'm ready master. I won't stop learning or training."
The young Besalisk male said to the Jedi Master as his nature to challenge himself was building and motivating him to begin his path as a Jedi student.

Tyron caught hold of the training lightsaber hilt that Valery tossed over to his reach. Successfully he did catch it and examined the hilt within his hands.
"A lightsaber.. Oh, a training model, I see. Mmhmm. Ready."

The Besalisk twirled and spins the hilt within his hands and fingers to feel the weight of the training lightsaber hilt. A little excited yet determined to make a good start with his first lesson under the guide of the Grandmaster.

Valery watched as Tyron spun the training saber in his hands, testing its weight, getting a feel for the balance. She smirked, folding her arms across her chest as she let him settle into it. The enthusiasm was good — it showed eagerness, a willingness to learn. But now came the real test.

"Alright," she said, stepping forward, her violet blade igniting with a sharp snap-hiss. The glow cast long shadows across the training hall as she shifted her stance, one foot sliding back, blade angled just enough to signal what was coming next.

"First lesson — footwork and defense."

She lifted her saber, then brought it down in a slow, deliberate arc — telegraphed, easy to read, something he could react to. It wasn't a true attack, just a test, meant to ease him into the flow of a spar without overwhelming him.

"Block it."

Her tone was firm but patient. She wanted to see how he moved, how he reacted under pressure. Would he rely on instinct? Would he overthink it? The best way to learn was through action, and she was more than ready to see how Tyron handled himself.
