A new friend?

Under the dark sky on a lovely planet called Tattooine I find myself alone. My heart beats to the sound of the thumping music at a nearby bar as I walk down the street towards what I hope to be a small and quiet place for me to relax. The last couple days I have been unable to feed since I have been in such crowded area's and it is now causing me headaches. By the time I get down the street I can feel the air is empty, soulless, so I take a seat under what seems to be a tree like figure. Closing my eyes I begin to hum and open my mind to the world around me. I sit there for what seems to feel like an hour.

The last little while life has been stressful, no feeding, what I have left of my friends aren't around, and I can't seem to find a club to dance at either. Atleast I can't seem to find a clean club. There are lots of little, grungy places but they don't pay well.

The breeze strokes my shoulders and makes me shiver, I think it is time to get a jacket or something of that nature. When I finally open my eyes I can feel what I think is the presence of another being, though I can't be sure of what it is so I put my guard up. Bending at the knee lightly when I stand up, hands up ready to grab someone if it needs to be done.

Vaulkhar strode down the streets in silence, peering about the dusty and dark road with a tilted brow. It had been sometime since he had been to Tattooine. Not long enough. He hated Tattooine almost as much as he hated those scum who called this planet home. Many who inhabited the planet were gangsters or bounty hunters, and almost anything in between. The planet was crawling with organic filth, and being here made the young man cringe. Yet he was here for a simple reason. To escape the One Sith who likely now wanted him dead, considering his display of treason against them. If they could even call it such.

As he walked through the streets, the area began to dwindle in life. The force surrounding him picked up nothing, beyond that of a single life form nearby. This region of Mos Eisley was said to be abandoned. So who or what was this? And why is it here? Shaking his head, the young man set off at a brisk pace, moving towards the life form in silence. His booted feet seemed to glide across the sandy surface, making next to no noise. Eventually he came across the clearing with a single tree, if it could even be called that. A failed attempt at raising some form of vegetation on Tattooine was evident before him, as the husk of what was once a tree stood. And at it's base, a woman who was clearly ready for action, stared him down. He raised both hands, palms facing outwards, signaling no intention of harm.

"I mean you no harm, stranger. I was simply looking for the single life form within the area. Not many call these abandoned streets home."

The man that stood in front of me had his palms open, I was staring at him wide eyed. I took a step back and breathed in deeply.

"Who are you?" I glared for a second then looked around, nothing was around but the two of them. "Why do you search of this soul? Well I suppose it is probably me." My hair fell down to the back to my waist, I reached one hand around and then the other pulling my hair into a high ponytail. The my eyes began to glow dimly, I couldn't decide if I was going to let my guard and my hands down yet.

"My name is Elise. I am from a family of Vampires, I was also raised to fight. So you know."

[member="Vaulkhar"]

Vaulkhar only just managed to lower his brow before she poke. Almost instantly said brow raised itself once more in question. Both of her statements brought pause to him. A family of vampires. Though he had only heard rumors of vampiric creatures within the galaxy, he had never met one. Yet here he was, before him was a woman that claimed she was from a family of them. Which of course meant she was likely one as well. How interesting. And of course, as most could boast upon Tattooine, she was capable of defending herself. If he had the intention of attacking her, he'd likely be laughing as of now. Very few things within the galaxy are as dangerous as a Sith Academy. Growing up and learning from one had hardened the young man greatly. A fight with a man, a vampire, or anything in between did not frighten him. But it was good to know knowledge.

"I am Vaulkhar. Once a Sith Knight, I now travel about, seeking knowledge. It is a pleasure." Vaulkhar bowed slightly, lowering his head with a nod. "I too, can fight." His lips pulled up into a soft smirk, not meant to be rude. Simply a small joke.

[member="Elise Dawn"]

I noticed the way his brow moved down then back up almost as if he questioned my presence. Did he not believe me, was I that stupid sounding? I look him dead in the eyes as he talks, explaining who he is and what he does. This person seems like someone I can trust, maybe. My judgement on people was not always good sadly, hopefully I didn't mess it up this time.

"Nice to meet you, are you no longer a Sith Knight? Have you given up that life for a good reason?" I so badly wanted to laugh as i spoke, I had never had this conversation with someone before, mind you most people I meet I don't really listen to. I tilt my head to the side awaiting his answer curiously.

[member="Vaulkhar"]

"I am no longer a Sith Knight."

Vaulkhar turned his attention away from her and peered around the clearing. Noticing what appeared to be a powered down maintenance droid, he moved towards it. Dusting off the top of it, the young man sat down and turned his attention back towards her. He nodded at the comfort from being able to sit somewhere on this forsaken planet and began once more.

"For some time I served the One Sith, but I grew tired of it. I was a nameless drone within an army of warriors. Serving an emperor who neither knew my name or face seemed pointless. I held no loyalties towards the Empire, so I departed. And what of you? Why do you no longer live with your family?"

[member="Elise Dawn"]

I straightened my head to look straight at him, taking in all that he was saying. Truthfully I understood but at the same I had never been in an empire that large. I also didn't know much about the One Sith, though I was to embarrassed to ask about it.

"When did you join the One Sith? I haven't met an ex member in my life till now." When he asked about my parents I looked down, ashamed at my past but it was the only one I had so I must try and honour it. "I killed both my parents when I was young, when that happened ran away, began a new life on my own. I have no brothers or sisters, but I have alot of family somewhere in this galaxy."

I never tell the full story of my parents, it brings back to many memories, some good but most bad. I wasn't raised by loving parents, they were cold and strict.

[member="Vaulkhar"]

"I joined the One Sith around thirteen, if I remember correctly." Vaulkhar became silent for a moment, seeming to slip back into his memories. "Yes. I was raised by an adoptive family until that age, but around then I left home and joined the One Sith. My father was the reason, but he also just so happens to be the reason I left the accursed the Sith." He laughs softly at the entire situation. The young man's life had been following after his father, wishing to meet him and learn of him. To hopefully find what he had lost, but that had not been the case. If anything, he had learned his father was the reason Vaulkhar had nothing, and that was not something he had expected.

"Either way, here I am now. Hiding out on Tattooine while I plan my next move. But I have to ask, why are you here?"

[member="Elise Dawn"]

I listened and nodded alone to his chatter, "So what you're saying is you need to find you father somehow? Or find someone with the tracking abilities for that?"
I carefully brush my hair from my back to sit across my shoulder and begin to braid it. Her dark eyes piercing through the night as she paused before answering his question.
"Well truthfully, I was told by some Twi'lek that Tattooine was the place to go for 'dance' clubs, if you know what I mean. Though so far it has been a huge bust, can barely keep my self in the positive when it comes to makes credits." She sighed, plus I need to find another like me soon to help me with somthing."

[member="Vaulkhar"]

Vaulkhar leaned back slightly and crossed his arms, attempting to get as comfortable as possible on the broken down maintenance droid. As of now, it wasn't working in the slightest; but what can you do? He considered her words for a moment, unsure how to go about responding. Though having someone that could help him track his father down would be helpful, he already knew where he was; most of the time anyway. And there was always the fact the man could slaughter Vaulkhar as if he were nothing more than an infant.

"My father is likely the most powerful Sith in the galaxy. He's destroyed entire planets for fun and has committed genocide because it fit his mood at the time. I don't want to face the man in the slightest." He then quieted down momentarily, watching her. If she were to look carefully, she'd notice he was blind. Incapable of seeing through conventional means. "Tattooine is a good place for dancing, but all the clubs are run down and dirty. You'd likely end up lost or a slave before you make any real credits. And as I'm sure you can tell, I'm not like you. But I'm more than willing to help with anything, if I can that is."

[member="Elise Dawn"]

He seemed to be really uncomfortable, I wasn't sure if it was because he was sitting on the old droid or because of where we were. I adjusted the blade on my back and motioned for us to go for a walk somewhere, maybe it would open both of our minds.

"Come on let's go walk somewhere, this planet is big let's see where we end up." The comment of his father being the most powerful sith really startled me, I froze for a second to think. " So I heard there are a couple of those, who specifically is he? As for my dancing well, I am a little stuck currently, don't have a lot with me here so I may need a little advice on where to go and the better of the clubs. I don't particularly want to become a slave."

[member="Vaulkhar"]

Vaulkhar shrugged in response and scooted off the broken down droid. Landing softly and silently within the sand, he dusted off his rear of any built up grime and sand from sitting upon the droid, before moving to follow Elise. Her question most certainly did not surprise him. Those who did not bother keeping up with the war between the One Sith and the Galactic Republic always tended to be either surprised, scared, or a combination of the both when they learned of the key characters that are currently making history within the galaxy. And to say his father, Vornskr, was but a key character, would be an understatement. The man was likely a Knight when it came to the chess board. He was a warrior who cut down millions for simple enjoyment, and just as he cut them down, he too commanded millions.

"My father simply goes by the title of Darth Vornskr. He is not someone I enjoy being around." He chuckled as he chose a simple but easy path to follow, in what was a large, empty street. On both sides, run down and abandoned merchant stalls were seen. The area was clearly once very popular within the city, but for whatever reason, the people had abandoned the area. "As for clubs; I'd suggest getting off Tattooine altogether. You could always go to Nar Shaddaa, I hear the big time gangsters and club owners there pay well for entertainment." He turned towards Elise and for the first time, looked the woman up and down. Vaulkhar nodded, clearly impressed in the woman's physique.

"You are well put together and a beautiful face, club owners would likely pay many credits for you to dance at any of their clubs. But a grimy planet like Tattooine couldn't give you what you were worth." He opened his mouth to speak, but stopped just as suddenly. He considered suggesting Coruscant for the moment, but as the current base-planet of the One Sith, the woman could end up dead purely due to a Sith or Imperial Agent being in a bad mood. And that of course, just wouldn't do. "I'm sure there are planets in Galactic Alliance space, or maybe even the Silver Sanctum that would gladly have a woman such as you providing entertainment. Just try and avoid One Sith space, or the Hutts."

[member="Elise Dawn"]

I never really noticed how dirty and grimy the old droid was till [member="Vaulkhar"] stood from it and had to brush his rear off. When she saw him began to walk she followed briskly, listening to all he had to say.

"So what you saying is if I ever meet your father I should be ready to not walk away from the experience? Not such a good guy." When I looked around I could feel how well lit the place used to be, I'm sure it was full of light and wonderful people but now it was rundown, old, and broken. I almost wished I could go back and see what it was like.

"So the Silver Sanctum you say, I believe I have been in the general area once in my life, I tend to stay on the grungier planets but now, well maybe it's time for a change." I could feel my stomach gurgle as I spoke but tried to ignore it, it wasn't long before I knew I needed to eat. " So on another subject I need to find a snack, usually I go for homeless, or already dead things." I spoke without any concern of him not agreeing.

"That's exactly what I'm saying."

Vaulkhar chuckled at her question. The entire situation revolving around his father was always an awkward one. Those who didn't know Vornskr would be wise to do exactly as the woman just asked. Her follow up was not surprising. Most who were different from the common face one would find in the galaxy tend to find themselves staying as far away from everyone else as possible. Or at least far enough away from people who would shun another.

"The Silver Sanctum isn't a bad place, as long as you aren't causing trouble." The mention of her hunger clearly did not surprise him in the slightest. "My half brother is a cannibal, because his race are required to eat people. So, it is what it is. I'm sure we can find a drunk thug wandering the streets closer to society."

[member="Elise Dawn"]

"I wish there was a way I could help you in that situation." I bowed my head then looked up into the sky taking deep breath, I could feel the hunger pains growing intensely. "We had better find someone fast, it isn't getting easy to ignore anymore."

I thought about the Silver Sanctum, maybe this was the perfect place for myself, I didn't usually cause trouble or anything like it, in fact I was pretty good about keeping a low profile, I had grown up that way. I learned the hard way to keep to myself, when I was younger I got pushed around for making big scenes around others. Now I can't have that happen.

"I am pretty darn sure I can avoid trouble."

[member="Vaulkhar"]

"If you can avoid trouble and find a means of feasting without eating members of their order, or attacking civilians within their control, I suppose we could always travel there. I'm heading towards their central planet, Voss, after I leave Tattooine. I was only running a menial job for a few credits on this side."

The mention of her hunger pains growing brought a nod to his head. He closes his blind gaze and took a deep breath. Bringing his hands together, the young man began to focus upon the force. Pulling it around himself and sending it outwards in waves, similar to sonar, he stood in utter silence. A few seconds went by and he remained that way, but eventually the force guided him to a sleeping man nearby. With another slight nod of his head, his eyes snapped open and he motioned for Elise to follow him.

"Come along, I found someone." He started on his way, beginning to lead her down the streets and alleyways. "Though if he isn't a trouble maker or anything of the sort, I'd request you do not feast upon him. That way we can avoid senseless murder and my conscious can remain a little cleaner." Vaulkhar grinned, continuing his winding pathway through the city. For a blind man, he did a damn good job moving about.

[member="Elise Dawn"]

I had come to realize long ago that feeding on certain planets wasn't always a god idea, even on the homeless and such people. It sounded as though this new place was going to be one of those planets.

"What on Voss interests you may I ask?" I look around and notice that he had already begun walking and motioning for me to tag along behind him, well here we go I thought. Though he may not be alright with senseless murder, I can be depending on the situation. If I was really that hungry I wouldn't have a care in the world about who I killed. The best way for me to hide the evidence is to either freeze them into a block of ice or burn them to ash. I do like doing both of these things.

"Alright, no murder to those who don't really need it or deserve it, gotcha." I smiled at him, "So, why do you care if I kill or not?"

[member="Vaulkhar"]

"When I was a Sith I killed many people." Vaulkhar looked over towards her, his eyes studying her full body momentarily. "More people than I care to admit, but I've bathed in rivers of blood whilst serving the One Sith." He looked away after that, his chin rising slightly in irritation, jaw clenching to further reflect that. "I do not want to take any more lives unless necessary. If it means keeping you alive by allowing you to feast on scum, that is nothing. But to kill innocents, that is not alright."

He stroked his chin for a moment, thinking. "Voss is the home of where I will train to become a Jedi, and shed the dark side from my body."

Vaulkhar's shoulder bobbed slightly in a shrug as he turned once more and arrived at the entryway of an alley. Lying amidst the pile of trash was what could only be an unconscious bounty hunter. He was garbed in the armor of a Mandalorian, and he reeked of booze.

[member="Elise Dawn"]

"It sounds like a life you chose to give up quite willingly, many cannot do that." It was not often that I meet people who change their view on the sides of light and dark. "I will not kill innocents, but only for your sake. You should be glad I wasn't anymore hungry, I would have taken a bite out of you." I turned my head and looked down the alley, we seemed to be walking towards a dumpster, with what I thought was a mandalorian. Maybe not, I couldn't be sure.

"So, how long have you been training if you have even started?" I was always curious about different types of training, I enjoyed a good fight. Well not always, if I was in the middle of it that is.

"What is that smell? It is rank over here." I looked around and noticed something burning over near the end of the way.

[member="Vaulkhar"]

"I've been trained since a young age by my adoptive parents in the art of lightsaber combat, as well as force sight. Considering how blind I am, it helped quite a bit to learn the ability to see through the force."

Once more Vaulkhar raised his chin upwards, but this time he sniffed the air, nose crinkling in obvious disgust. He shook his head while peering further down the alleyway. "I honestly have no idea what that is." He stated whilst moving forwards, hoping to determine what it was. As he stepped past the Mandalorian, his booted feet ceased to make any noise. He peered around the dumpster towards what appeared to be burning to determine what it was.
