BIOGRAPHY: Darien is a very troubled child. Born on Dromund Kaas, he always had a knack for pissing the wrong people off. Though his parents, who were both imperial officers, constantly tried to teach him respect, he would never listen. One day, however, that changed.

Young Darien had once again ran off toward the main city to fool around and have fun. On his way, he ridiculed a small time Sith by pickpocketing a set of keys. His face full of joy and laughter, he ran off before the Sith even realized what had happened. Soon, he was walking through the city. Roaming around a marketplace, he heard two men talking. Listening in, he could tell they were talking about a prisoner transfer. He was interested. Skulking through the shadows, he followed the two men, all the while making sure he kept quiet.

When they had reached the spot the prisoner was to be transferred from, he saw a young twi'lek girl, about the same age as himself. He had to save her! Unfortunately, the two men had kept guard. Soon, one of them left, and the other had pulled out a flask and began to drink. Seeing they were both busy, Darien crept over and smiled at the girl. He promised he would get her out, but had no idea how. Suddenly, he remembered the keys he had stolen. He spent a few minutes trying to find the right key, but then had no trouble in unbinding her shackles. Smiling, the twi'lek thanked him and ran off.

By then, it was time for Darien to get home. Smiling the whole way at his success, it almost didn't register when he arrived at his house to see the door knocked down. Running inside, he searched in vain for his parents. Looking in the bedroom, he found them both dead on the floor. Falling to his knees, the young boy's eyes welled with tears as he realized that it was his fault his parents were dead. Now, he would be an orphan, with nowhere to go.
