Darth Imperatus
Character
Melakoth had never really fancied himself as a tomb-raider, but the job certainly had excitement going for it. Besides, what was a sith out of a job supposed to do?
This tomb was a particularly tough nut to crack--he preferred it that way, of course. Unlike most of them, this one was not on Korriban, but under the surface of a particularly desolate moon. From the ruins above ground, it was clear that nobody had been here for a very long time. Anyway, right now he was standing in front of a very solid wall of rock, staring at runes that probably would have made a lot of sense about five millenia ago.
But when one considered the remote location and the tomb's more-than-challenging-defenses, (he had already gone through quite a lot of particularly nasty ancient battle-droids) it became immediately clear that its owner did not want whatever was on the other side of this wall to be found. Melakoth, for one, didn't think that this well-protected object was a dead body after all. Perhaps, he thought, the rumors of a very valuable sith artifact being here were true.
He had very little interest in studying the artifact, or whatever the instructors of the academy would have had him do. He was here for a very simple reason: if there was an artifact here, it was likely to be worth a lot more to someone else than it was to him. And right now, money was something that was in short supply for him.
His ship was up in orbit, along with a very disgruntled crew who would really like to be paid some time soon, thank you very much. In fact, if he didn't return soon, they'd likely take the golden opportunity to take off and leave him stranded on this rock.
He wondered how thick the wall was. Pulling out his lightsaber, he activated a single blade and began cutting into the rock. Hopefully he'd see something other than more rock once he was done cutting through.
