A New Perspective

While Corellia herself had slowly moved back into its normal hustle and bustle, Coronet seemed tame in comparison to the Council offices. It seemed like they had been in overdrive ever since Kuat, but independence did that to a world. It seemed like every day she was meeting with a new system or new sector looking for protection or aide of some kind and she just couldn't keep up. From her lunches with other Council members their officers were just the same. For so long the Outer Worlds of the Corellian Sector had been left alone due to Corellia's inability to even fend for itself and now that they could she was doing everything in her power to help them but...There was always something.

"Ma'am, a Romi Jade has just landed. She says she was looking to meet with you?"

This made her stop typing. She hadn't seen Romi since her healing pit stop at the Green Jedi temple.

"O-of course, send her in." A surprise to say the least but not an unwelcome one. She tried to fix her hair which was in a mess from essentially living in her office the last three days. Made sure her eyes weren't pale yellow or bloodshot and gave her face a splash before Romi came in.

She matched pace with her escort, her hair bounced to the rhythm of her boots clicking the duracrete flooring. The incoming sensors picked her presence; the door slid open when she approached but her escort remained outside. She stepped in, and lowered her head in a form of a bow.

"Lisza, many thanks for seeing me today. I had no intention of disturbing your work." She mentioned as she trailed her ways towards the woman's desk. "I've had some time to think about what we discussed the last time I was here..."

Romi possessed a unique set of skills, some most Jedi just didn't have. Starseeker had been looking for some sort of associate, someone who could be her eyes and ears and provide consultation from time to time. With the threat of terrorist amongst the many issues facing Corellia, it seemed like a position that needed some filling. Lisza couldn't be everywhere at once.

Plus this was good PR between the Council and the Jedi based here.

"I'll do it." she nodded.

She was hovering just over a chair, standing with a bit of a sway and her arms folded into one another.

Lisza stood up quickly, probably more quickly than she meant to, and beamed at Romi. When they had met she had seemed...Sad, maybe even a little bit unsure of where her life would take her next. But Lisza saw it in her eyes, the want to do good in the Galaxy. The old Quarth Alchemists had spoken of a rule of equivalent exchange that ran the Galaxy, but like herself, Romi seemed determined to add something to the Galaxy instead of just taking it away and returning something of equal value.

Her eyes sparkled when she spoke.

"I'm grateful to have you by my side Romi," she clapped her hands together and steped from around the desk, wrapping Romi in a big, tight hug. When she was done she pulled Romi back and looked her up and down.

"How did you get here?" she asked, biting her lip in barely contained excitement.

Her eyebrow shot up, Lisza shot up out of her seat.

"Are you even gonn--"

Lisza Starseeker said:
"I'm grateful to have you by my side Romi,"
Then she was pulled into a rather tight and sudden embrace, "Oh--okay." her words were smothered in the Quarths shoulder. Really, she was expecting some sort of "What changed your mind?" type of reaction from Lisza but I suppose she was so swamped with work she wouldn't dare turn down help.

"I uhm..." She subtly pulled away, "I appreciate your enthusiasm." She responded. "I'm sure we'll work well together Lisza, thanks for the opportunity."

She motioned behind her, twisting her body just a bit to cast a quick glance towards the door "Ohh I just took a transport"

Lisza's eyes shone when Romi said she came by transport.

"Well that just won't due...You'll need a ship!" She gave a solid nod. "A good one. A fast one!" Her eyes twinkled again and she sun around excitedly and tapped the com on her desk.

"Mary, hold my calls until I get back." She turned back to face Romi and motioned towards the door. "What made you change your mind Romi? Please, follow me."

"Well...I'm not much of a pilo--" She started, shrugging before scratching her scalp before she was cut off.

Lisza Starseeker said:
"A good one. A fast one!"

"I--Uh" Her eyes grew big, "Really, there's no need t--" this time she cut herself off, she was rather curious as to the way Lisza was acting. Was she just tired or was she was always this enthusiastic. Romi just watched, watched her spin around and dance her war around the desk.

"Well, if you insist. I suppose I should brush up on my piloting skills anyway." She was suppose to learn from Coren awhile ago, but things were just always so busy on the front.

She started a slow pace, catching her companions speed, "Well...there's a lot to be done. And, Corellia is fighting for their independence, so it seems like right cause to get behind. There's something telling me there's going to be a lot happening later down the road...and that my place is here for the moment."

She took a moment.

"It's just something I sense...."

Lisza's hand rubbed her chin in thought, taking in the Jedi's words as they walked.

"I understand," she said. And she did. Most Quarth did, even if they weren't Force Sensitive. Their antennae were deeply in tune with the ebb and flow of Hyperspace, that pocket dimension that allowed for high speed travel through the stars. Lisza herself had always felt...something, more than what was natural for her people, and had been told on more than one occasion that she could have easily been a racer or a fighter pilot instead of a politician. Her eyes met Romi's for a moment and the large orange orbs softened.

"And I thank you for being here with us."

She couldn't lie to herself, she'd always had a fascination with fighters and racers, probably due to her father running a shipwright and shipyard. So she allowed herself the small pleasures like giving the gift of flight to others more suited to it than herself.

The Corellian Council's hallways were bustling with activity. These were what it was like in the early days of independence. The Galaxy was watching them and with all eyes on them they needed to make this work. All that to say the hallways were extremely packed. But with Lisza being taller than most of the beings in the hall it made it easy for Romi to follow along. A tram led them to the Council's private shuttle bay and behind the large blast doors that led to Lisza's hangar a sharp, green painted starfighter sat. Its s-foils were folded, bringing its wings tight to its body and fuselage.

"I call it, Jade's Wind."
