A night in Cornett,Corellia.

Mereel walked into a bar in Cornett, one of Corellia's best known cities. He took a seat and ordered one Corellian brandy. Mereel normally stuck to tihaar, but since he was on Corellia, he found it more appropriate.

Auri sat down next to Mereel after grabbing an ale. "Nothing like Corellia's finest" she smiled. It was good to come home after so long. And though she had never felt homesick before, she was glad to have some time to spend back on her homeworld. She took a sip of her drink, and it left a pleasant taste in her mouth. "So Mereel, what do you think of Corellia?"

Mereel took off his helmet to down the glass the bartender placed in front of him. It left a bitter sweet taste. "It isn't exactly Coruscant, but at least it's not Hoth." Mereel said,"Isn't this your home world?" He asked.

Mereel was surprised,he knew that Corellia wasn't exactly a giant city. But he found it rather funny when someone mentioned farming on a planet like this. "I didn't even know there was an area a hundred kilometers from here" He said, "what do people do around the city beside this anyway?"

"Well, I never spent much time in the city growing up. My father was convinced that it was too dangerous in the city for a young girl." Auri sighed, her parents had been so over protective of her. She wondered what they would think of her now. "I always heard about the great swoop bike track Cornett had though. They hold races year round." Auri paused to order another ale. "I never got to see one, but my friends used to tell me all about them."

Mereel didn't want to get another drink, considering what happened last time he got too drunk. He had lit a bartender on fire during a senators house party, and had gotten his hand stabbed as a result. After a few seconds though he convinced himself it was safe this time, and ordered a tihaar. He looked around the bar but saw only a few civvies. 'I'm almost afraid to get drunk now.." He said, more to himself than Auri, although she had been there during the incident. He had asked a few of the party goers later, many bought him a drink for that...although not from that poor fried bartender.

Auri thought. Krine interested her, to say the least. His moods and habits were unpredictable. He was certainly an interesting specimen. But she could not make a decision about his advances toward her. "Krine is a great resource to us" she said. "And a courageous man"

Mereel thought on that for a moment, he hadn't been expecting THAT. Mereel liked Thraise but he thought after they had picked up the deadweight, deadweight being yuniee, from Tatooine and they had an incident ..he thought the partnership wouldn't work well at all." Good to know."Mereel said,"I thought you'd hate the man."

"Oh, uh that." Auri said, embarrassed. She had been working on putting that behind her. She had been angry when she had caught Krine going through her personal things, but she had forgiven him. The truth was, she liked a curious man. "I've tried to move on from that.." she trailed off.

Mereel paused, well that was kriffing awkward, he thought. "That's understandable," he said. He ordered another tihaar..probably bad idea but oh well.. " I'm going to wake up in a alley after this one..aren't I" Mereel sighed, "better than lighting up a bartender I guess.." He said deadpan. "One last question O.K?"

"Frankly, as long as I get my money back from that little thief, Monty can do whatever he wants with her." Auri said. She stretched, it was getting late, she needed to head back to her ship soon.

As Mereel was about to walk out the door he fell over. "Better yet,"He said,"il just stay here a while you go." He went to sit down at the corner booth of the room and waited, he wanted his grogginess to wear off first.
