The Shadow

The capital city itself was bustling with civilization as usual. A sea of faces that stretched as far as the eye could see, and the whines of repulsor engines reverberated the streets. It was a pleasant enough day so far, or days in Rath’s case. Ever since his service in the Eternal Empire expired, Rath practically took a vacation of sorts. At least, that’s what Rath put down as his reason for not staying with the military, when in reality Rath felt like he must reach out further than the Empire is willing to find the long lost Warden Knight, Ta’kir Glimmer. So far they’ve either been chasing trails or coming no closer to the answer than they started.
Garbed in a dark leather jacket with a long-sleeved white shirt underneath it. Rath’s steps on the ceramasteel flooring were light despite the boots that he wore, and what was he doing? Simple, he was grocery shopping. Why? To replenish the pantry on his ship for the trip he was planning to make. Orellon II was perhaps the last planet that the Eternal Empire influenced while Rath intended to go outside of the Empire’s domain. Everything seemed to be so simple, for Rath developed plans of how to go about it and so far the plans have been coming along pleasantly. The only downside was that Rath had to forsake his armor and rifle, but was able to keep the sword and the signature Ace of Spades that Rath tends to favor.
The blaster remains holstered at his left thigh as the young man picks up a muja fruit with one hand. His yellow eyes linger on the fruit as a memory recalled of how he used to consider muja sauce to be like a dessert when Rath was a child. Granted Rath knew to focus on the essential foods to sustain himself for months. However he didn’t see the harm of allowing small luxuries in the mix as well. To most people, Rath appeared to be an ordinary traveler. Neither of his clothes held symbols of the Eternal Empire, and frankly Rath would be surprised if anyone recognized him since Rath was never dispatched to Orellon II before. However, the Force tends to thrive in chaos and interject a new variable, or rather a new encounter of the unexpected.
As Rath puts the bundle of fruit into his basket, he could hear the voice of a child close to his vicinity. A young zabrak boy with his parents was looking over the meat department. Both of the parents appeared to be in distress as they were debating if the price was worth the meal. Budgeting money always was a pain, even in the military since the personnel had to be at least an officer in order to live comfortably with themselves. Still the scene brought Rath’s attention to the next thing on his list, and frankly he found himself a bit stressed after viewing the prices just to get something decent.
”The prices are a bit high around here… must be either running low on supplies or maybe they increased the price to gain a bit more profit out of it.” Rath muttered to himself as he restrained a sigh.
