Corvus Raaf
Adieu...
Intent: A personal shoto for Corvus Raaf, Master of the Jedi Order
Development Thread: Solari beam crystal - http://starwarsrp.ne...r-the-republic/
Crafting the shoto - http://starwarsrp.net/topic/45052-two-blades-one-long-and-one-short-solo-thread/
Manufacturer: Corvus Raaf
Model: Variation of Master Obi-Wan Kenobi’s saber design from his journal shared with Master Luke Skywalker (and subsequently the New Jedi Order)
Affiliation: Jedi Order
Modularity: No
Production: Unique
Material: Durasteel and Solari crystal
Classification: Shoto
Size: Single-Handed
Length: 27cm (hilt only)
Weight: 1.0kg
Special Features: Cell recogniser - A standard, off the shelf product adapted for use on the shoto hilt.
Solari crystal – Has the specific property of only allowing Jedi who are pure in spirit to use the shoto.
Between these features, the shoto will prove useless to anyone other than Corvus Raaf to operate – although it would also fail to function if Corvus gives way to the dark-side.
The shoto also contains a beckon call (a small communications device that links to the slave circuits on a ship that, when activated, transmits a signal activating the auto piloting programme and summoning the ship to the nearest safe spot close to the wielder. Again, this is a readily available product.
Description: This shoto is broadly similar to the saber design of Obi-Wan Kenobi after his battle with Darth Maul. The blade is violet, which in turn comes from the Solari crystal that changed to purple when Corvus Raaf constructed the shoto – the reason for which is, as yet, unknown. This is also what happened when she crafted her saber.
The Solari crystal means it can only be used by a Jedi who is pure in spirit and an ardent follower of the Light side of the Force. It cannot not be corrupted by the Dark side and its owner has to always stay pure of heart for it to function. The Solari crystal has the added benefit of increasing the width of its blade, increasing its ability to deflect blaster bolts.
