A Piece of Work - Artwork? Metalwork? Something like that.

Mira stood before the various components on the table infront of her - and immediately became distraught. A sigh escaped her lips as she ran her hands through her dark brown hair, and ruffled it harshly. She knew what she wanted to do, what she wanted it to look like - but she didn't know where to begin. She had several components within the armor schematics to combat the threat of the Yuuzhan Vong, granted, one of them would probably prove to be useless this late in the game but two primary components would be very useful - considering the circumstances.

Then there was the empty cartridge injector on the right side - for biological purposes. She hadn't decided what was going to go in there - not enough research had been done on her end to know what toxic chemicals the Vong might be allergic to if any. Of course, all the components were if she were going to come up close to any of them - Force fobid if she did. She'd prefer to stay as far away as possible but the Galaxy being the state that it was in, well, it was inevitable at some point.

She was flustered and dismayed at the inability to forge it - her father was busy and her mother had no clue what to do with Beskar. Field Marshal [member="Ordo"] and her jagyc-bai'bur [member="Strider Garon"] had mentioned someone else to her - but she forgot who.

[member="Ijaat Akun"]

Ijaat smiled as he leaned against the post... There had been a favor asked, and he had complied happily enough. Though his mind was tormented still by the disappearance of his beloved, by the demons of his past knocking at his door again, forgework and teaching about anything always made him feel alive and helped him to forget the ghosts stirring within his soul and plaguing his thought. Clearing his throat, he walked up behind the girl, and then to in front of her on the other side of the table, raising an eyebrow as he eyed the components.

"Seems like someone is making themselves some beskar'gam.... But you look a little irritated.... I can help if you like, I make this stuff for a living. You got a blueprint, yet?"

[member="Mira Gyndar"]

[SIZE=10pt]Mira jumped slightly at the sound of the voice behind her, she turned slightly in the chair and looked at [member="Ijaat Akun"] and then back to the table before her. She could only nod before sinking her head back into her hands, encompassing her hair in between her fingers.[/SIZE]

[SIZE=10pt]“I do, I just uhm, am not sure about how to go about it?” She pulled her hands free from her hair and brushed it back loosely before pointing to the various components and the beskar. “My jagyc bai’bur mentioned someone else would be able to help…” She turned to look at Ijaat once more. “Are you that person, by chance?” She said with a hopeful tone.[/SIZE]

[SIZE=10pt]She shook her head softly knowing he probably was, and it was a stupid question – she quickly snatched up the blueprints and turned back to him, holding the datapad out for him to see. On the datapad was a colorful display of various shades of orange and pink, a splash of blue splatter amongst them. A very bright display needless to say. Mandalorian Scout Armor base – with a wide variety of traditional components within the buy’ce. She gestured to the desh-terenthium coated bodyglove. “That is what will help keep the more exposed portions from blades and general weaponry such as blasters…but won’t be much help against sabers…”[/SIZE]

[SIZE=10pt]She continued. “Hopefully, I’ll be fast enough to avoid them, block them or whatever.” She motioned to the various components. “A lot of anti-Vong stuff on it…dalyc-buir’s idea.” She nodded softly. “It’s known that the Baffor Pollen doesn’t work on them, but you never know…”[/SIZE]

[SIZE=10pt]She gestured. “Loadout will consist of a lot of electrical based weaponry, RGL-80s, probably about two or three max as I’ll already be loaded down with a lightsaber and some other weapons.” She looked hopeful as she stared at him with ruby colored eyes, she was young and obviously didn’t know much about what she was doing – or what the Vong were about, beyond what she was told.[/SIZE]

[SIZE=10pt]She just..went with it.[/SIZE]

"I probably would be... I owe a few favors here and there to some people, and when it was mentioned a young lass was crafting her first set of 'gam, I had to come see if I could lend a hand"

Leaning over the table, the smith eyed the designs and playfully rubbed his eyes, mockingly and jetsfully wincing as if blinded by the colors as he winked to her. When he spoke again, there was almost affection in his voice as he addressed the design of hers, her concerns, and more.

"The pollen is still a good idea, just in case... And the delivery system itself can be adapted to deliver other toxins or poisons besides it, so good idea to just tweak it a bit to be a more universal dispersal system, see?"

Turning, he pulled out his own pad and begin tapping, a formula appearing hovering in the air with a metallurgical read out.

"These numbers here show an alloy I like to use in armors like yours... It's 95% beskar, 5% ciridium... Loss of a bit of protection, but the plates have a bit more of the old give and take to them, so when you move, they won't bend, but they won't be unyielding and dig into your body. It's a worthy trade off for one like you, believe me. And that body glove is a thing of beauty. May I suggest a simple flamethrower though? Often overlooked, but great to give you some breathing room and tricky for Force Users to just shrug aside unless they are pyrokentic users..."

[member="Mira Gyndar"]

Mira would nod softly and bring her own datapad back before her, chuckling softly to his reaction at the bright colors. She began manipulating the schematics a bit, adjusting the Baffor Pollen delivery system to a more Universal Delivery System that would adapt to any toxins, poisons or aerosols. This would allow her to indeed apply a wide variety of applications to her targets should she require it. She then took a moment to figure out where to place the flamethrower - the idea was indeed something unexpected but welcomed none the less.

She removed the second applicator from the left gauntlet, adjusted it to where the Thorn of Ryloth and the Universal Applicator were on the same gauntlet while the Holodisplay and flamethrower would be on the opposite - a nice balance that would allow weapons to be spread out throughout the entire setup. Then there was the adjustment of alloy and beskar - a simple adjustment, just had to make some chemical notations in the final build. He had a good point about the flexibility of less Beskar and more Cirdium Alloy - still provided the same durability without the pressure. That combined with the coated bodyglove - she should be fine.

The bodyglove itself would be able to take a blaster hit and suffer minimal damage, blade weaponry would have limited to no effect - depending on their grade. Lightsabers, well of course given the layered coating - they would burn through if sustained in the same area for an extended period but immediate piercing wouldn't happen right off the bat. It was a nice trade off to say the least.

She nodded softly before turning back to him to show the final datapad schematic. "There...now [member="Aton Gyndar"] needs one..." She mused softly.

[member="Ijaat Akun"]

Ijaat looked over the schematics, nodding a bit and smiling. He reached over to tap a few things on his pad, and nodded as the simulation showed the 360 view of Myra in her armor executing several leaps, twirls and the like. There were a few catches, which he noted by pointing at the holo as the popped up so Myra would know and plan for them. They weren't severe, but side flips would likely still catch a bit, and some other similar maneuvers would cause issue too.

"Very nice design dear... Now... The important part, to assure quality, is to begin with the intricacies of various sub-systems in the armor. I think the first thing we examine and tweak and customize should be the delivery system. How do we want it mounted, what do we want it cased in, how does the system work? Those are questions that, when examined, will make the difference between just a suit of armor you put on, and your beskar'gam - your iron skin. Now, are you force sensitive? We can make toys for your lightsaber combat too. Oh, and knee dart launchers, very useful actually, can coat them in poison!"

[member="Mira Gyndar"]

Mira nodded softly, listening intently to all the suggestions he was making. She'd make notes and continue to make adjustments to the schematics before setting down the datapad. "I'll have to adjust the final build one last time - I like the concept of the knee darts." She nodded softly.

She chuckled softly and nodded. "I am, I guess one could say very much so?" She offered [member="Ijaat Akun"] a smile before looking at her datapad and the various displays to include the demo of the armor. "However, I'm not sure what we can incorporate with the lightsaber in mind?"

Nodding, Ijaat hummed a bit and smiled, his hands moving quickly over his datapad whilst holding a silvery holo-quill that interacted with the holomap to help sculpt and shape the armor, beginning to add in knee dart housings and the like, a sort of artistry and elegance to his callused and worn hands as he manipulated the glowing images in the air. Ijaat reflected on doing the same with countless others, more young mandalorians than he could count really. Something about it made it almost a homecoming, like a natural calling he was meant for from the time he had picked up the hammer.

"We can add a guard shoto in the gauntlet, coming up by the elbow.. We can add a spring loaded beskar holster on the thigh to keep the hilt safe until you need it... If we got really fancy the mechanism could be so fine it would only be triggered by Force manipulation. Returning to the delivery system though... Any ideas on it? Just a standard plunger style pump, aerosol? There's a lot of options really for it. For mounting, standard clip bracket, metal banding running into and bolted to the gauntlet is probably best."

[member="Mira Gyndar"]

Mira would bring a hand to her chin as she rubbed it in thought, taking her foot and pushing it against the floor - she'd spin her chair around briefly as she ran through the various ideas. She'd stop suddenly and bring her hand back down, snapping her fingers together and then pointing to [member="Ijaat Akun"]. "Aersol seems more effective in some ways and it would allow me to apply SparkBee Honey as well..." She turned back to her design and continued to manipulate it as she spoke. "Because then, I would be able to apply a little bit of flame and it'd create a nasty fire effect on those wearing that armor people keep talking about." She paused for a moment as she added in the effects of the spring-loaded lightsaber holster.

It would create a unique addition and wouldn't immediately allow her saber to be visible - however - it would create a disadvantage if she were to not practice often with it.

Smiling, Ijaat nodded to the younger woman and considered the design, and then gestured, tapping his own projector as it (somehow) replicated he design and he began to select and add things to the glowing blue image in front of him. He moved with total concentration and determination, laying cabling that went under the armor, adding discs of repulsorlifts and more to them and smiling happily, gesturing as the projector began to run through flight tests and hover checks.

"Now, how is this? A small little touch from my personal armory.. Sustained flight system, good for acrobatics and the like."

[member="Mira Gyndar"]

Mira nodded quickly as she looked at the different adjustments that [member="Ijaat Akun"] was making to her armor - it was making it a bit heavier but it would indeed make her faster on her feet should she be unable to call upon the Force for help. She brought the datapad before her and began looking over the final schematics. "This will do just nicely, I think even mom would be impressed." She chuckled softly and looked at the components before her and then the list of additional components required.

"It appears I need to get some more stuff, now doesn't it?"
