- Usually fitted with an A-MWD-1, Knockout Blow, multipurpose wrist device. For medical application, antibiotics, grappling and communication needs. Secured Holonet access, wrist blade and Echani hand signals function across the device as standard.
- Helmet or Visors are fitted with a JSHP Jericho Standardized Hud Package. An Easy to use hud, tracking up to 20 targets. Distance readouts, personal vitals, communication systems, and sonic sensors. Up to 500 Meter magnification on zoom. Three Key TDES or 3DES Encryption as standard on comm signals. Three Spectrums. Night Vision. Thermal Vision and Regular. Sonic sensors give a 360-degree motion tracker on the bottom right of the hud, allowing for the wearer to see movement and perceived sound behind them without turning. Offering little Ion protection for the hud however, and it also lacks some of the more advanced systems other combat huds offer.
- A SW-CORR Coating and Finish - 50% Anti-Corr | 50% Silkweed offers a stain resistant finish, with some resistance to stretching or shrinking to fabrics in the armor.
- A light, flexible all purpose armor, which equips the user well for most average everyday operations.
- Between them, the Hud and Multipurpose Wrist Device offer solutions to many common problems. They are good pieces of kit although not top of the line.
- EMP or Ion weapons badly effect the Hud which has little shielding to them.
- Only provides an average protection against common weapons like kinetic weapons, frag grenades or a force user's lightsaber.
Apex's sleek black security suit is appropriate for formal or corporate facility security. It can come with a duraplast black helmet or visor, and optional gloves for when it is cold or appropriate. Duraplast boots ground the wearer firmly in position, and provide some comfort with their silkweed lining. Comfort is beneficial for the many long hours security is often standing around Apex facilities.
As well as being lined for comfort and style. The armor is reasonably flexible given the materials, and has a lighter weight because of those material choices. It usually shows the Apex logo on the right side of the chest, and any other relevant details for that particular assignment on the shoulder.
It has to be said this is a snug uniform to wear and more than one employee has commented that although they take it off when they get home, it's nicer than most clothing you could be put in on a job. Designed to be well insulated, it's also cooled off by removing the gloves and loosening the large collar.
The technology built into the design gives it a wide range of potential uses for the security staff as they go about their duties. The medical applications of disinfectant and antibiotics built into the wrist device are of special note, given the sensitive facilities Apex sometimes operates or visits. Communication is also well covered, with both secure access through the Hud or wrist device.
Three distinct layers do offer somewhat more cushioning kinetic protection than standard armorweave alone would, but it's still not that impressive, a sacrifice for making a sleek design rather than a bulky one.
When one Fire For Effect employee was interviewed, they told us. "We never got anything this fancy. Damn Corpo's!" We would agree. Only the best for Apex Staff.
