With death comes life. A neverending cycle that existed since the dawn of time. Even among the stars and planets themselves, things that are perceived to not be among the living, that same cycle persists.

Out on Altiria in a small tea shoppe on the outskirts of one of the towns, that cycle was about to be renewed.

Kay sat at one of the tables next to the fireplace looking worse for wear. The shoppe had been closed for two days so far. A bond had been broken and severed. But not just any bond. It was a Force Bond. Her ex-husband Veiere, divorced for political reasons had been slain. She caught a glimpse of his death in those final moments and while Veiere may have found peace after his death, Kay did not.

She hadn't slept. She barely ate. All that Kay could do was drink her teas and wrap herself up in one of Veiere's old set of robes that her daughter had brought her from Commenor. And of course she cried. The realization of being cut off for good now hit her. Twice now she had become a widow; twice at the hands of Sith Lords that just couldn't leave her alone.

What was to happen now? The shoppe couldn't stay closed forever, she needed an income. Kay stared at the flames of the fire, hoping to find an answer there.

Something will come. The life cycle would continue. It always does.

Altiria. Or Anarris, depending on who you asked on this world. For thousands of years, the people fought each other over the resources the great sea that divided their continents held. War after war. Death and destruction. Until, the world was reverted to a pre-industrial state. Now, it was a peaceful world, dominated by the immigrants who inhabited it.

To Kerkov, it was just another part of the confusing jigsaw puzzle that made up the Unknown Regions. He was an Outer Rim boy, raised on Ryloth, trained in the Naval Academies of Terminus, the premier trade world of the entire rim. Ever since the Emperor in Secret, Darth Setrus, had brought Kerkov into the fold of his scheme for the galaxy. If things were to come to fruition as Setrus so often predicted they would, one day Kerkov would be Allegiant General of its supposed grand armed forces.

Of course, there were many things that had to fall in place before even the foundations could be brought up. Even becoming such a close member to the shadow sovereign, there were many things he was still unclear about. One of those being the retrieval of Kay Larr. But he remembered his emperor's words with complete clarity,

"Her inclusion to my...plan...is of the utmost importance, Allegiant General. Do not return without her."

Kerkov was familiar with Kay Larr. Part, from his extensive research onto what information was held about her on the Holonet, and part from what his father had told him with his encounter with her on an incident on Bakura, but at least he knew something about her. Not only that, but he hoped his name would at least give him and audience with her. However, it still confused Kerkov as to why a woman with such a turbulent but extraordinary history would prove useful to his lord. Both the past and the possible future of these two perplexed him.

It's not my business, thought Kerkov, My duty is to retrieve this asset, not investigate. That thought repeated itself over and over, as he leisurely walked towards the storeface of Sphaera Tea Shoppe, and rapped on the door, hoping its owner was home.

The knock came unexpeditely. At first she wasn't sure if it was her imagination or not. There had been times when she suffered hallucinations and she had hoped that it wasn't one of those times. She didn't need her sanity questioned again.

Kay got to her feet, adjusting the robes that were too large for her form, before making her way to the door. With her tea cup in hand, she wiped at her eyes with her other to dry off any wetness from her tears. Not that it mattered, however. She still looked in rough shape.

She opened the door, a brow raising at the man standing in front of her. He looked...official. The way he held himself, the way that he was dressed. All of that gave her a sense of foreboding. Kay half wondered if she should have opened the door at all. Change was in the air and she had opened the door to it.

But maybe her instincts were wrong.

"We're closed today. Come back tomorrow."
