A Queen and a... who's he?

Solan whistled as he walked up towards the palace, his demeanor and dress both very casual and almost too happy as he carried on him nothing more dangerous than a lightsaber. His hands crossed behind him and his eyes, pale blue orbs that held a softness that set off the deep dark circles and hollow features that would make him look just about dead to anyone else. He wore a smile as he walked and finally he reached the guards to the palace. "Hello, if you would be so kind as to let me in, i have a question for your queen." His smile didn't leave him and his eyes only shifted once to look between the guards.

The boy was stopped at the Palace doors at once. After the, frankly, obnoxiously frequent attempts on the Queens life, security was something that was being taken quite a bit more seriously. Not at the Queens own orders, though. Feenarah had little interest in wasting the time of her guards on her personal safety- something that irritated her advisers to no end.

"Nobody is permitted to see the Queen without appointment."

The Queen herself, who was actually waiting on the balcony just around the side of the Palace closest to the door, couldn't help but over hear and smile. She shook her head, black curls bouncing. So serious.

Solan sighed and shrugged. "Sounds good, i would like my appointment made for right now please, and if you can do it ASAP that would be grand." He was smiling all while he said this to the guard, he had no care or not if the man was going to restrict him, he would see the queen or not would depend on her... speaking of which. His eyes rose as he noticed someone out on a balcony, casting a smile to them without realizing who it actually was.

The Queen laughed out loud at this. So brazen! Yes, the Galaxy needed more young men like this. So like herself when she was young and spirited.

"Well! You heard the boy, gentlemen! He's requested meeting to see the Queen right now! Would hate to keep her Majesty waiting."

She leaned over the balcony, bouncy curls falling over her shoulder. She suddenly looked a good deal younger than forty.

The guards sputtered and opened their mouths, but did as requested.

"This way, then, sir."

Feena smiled, sat down in her chair on the balcony, and picked up her morning tea. She was still in her dressing gown and slippers. Her Handmaidens had not even dressed themselves for the day. Such a curious visitor.

Solan still didn't realize who the woman was but he gave her a quick two finger salute. As they let him go he made his way through the gate and looked around with a smile and breathed in. "Beautiful... hmm." He looked up and smiled. "Uh Miss, where is the queen exactly?" He stared up at the Balcony, his eyes focusing up on her.

When the boy was led in, The Queen smiled and stood up.

"Why, you are looking at her," she answered with a hint of amusement on her face, "Feenarah Mason the first, Monarch of Naboo."

She casually took a sip of her tea right then, and looked to her guards.

"Inform K that I will need another pot of tea brought out for our guest, if you please."

At once, her guards bowed and turned to leave.

Solan rose a brow and made a rather different form of bow, one arm over his chest and the other crossed behind his back as he looked at her. "A pleasure queen of naboo, i have come on business though so i apologize for interrupting your relaxation... may i sit?" He straightened back up and his shaking was more than evident now, his deathly and hollow features, accented by the dark rings, and his glasses now visible as they resided on the inside of his robes. Death warmed over, that was the best phrase too use.

Wordlessly, she motioned for the seat across from her as she herself say down. The droid, K, arrived just then, a tray in hand with a pot of tea, and an extra cup.

"Ah! Thank you, K!" the Queen said as it set the tray down, "Now... you wanted to speak to me, mister...?"

She leaned across to pour tea for her new guest. It was only polite to do so, after all. Even a Queen had to pour tea for a guest.

He nodded. "In truth i had heard you had training in the healing arts of the force, i wished to learn them if possible as i find both a use for them and with them i could help those that traditional medicine can not." He leaned forward and drank from the tea for a moment and bowed his head. "Thank you."

The Eternal Queen
The Queen laughed, handing over the cup of tea.

"The 'Mister...?' was the cue for you to introduce yourself," she smiled, "And I do not train just anyone, Mister no-name. I only take on the best."

She took a deep sip of tea, studying him over the edge of the cup.

"Oh right, im sorry, my name is Solan Charr, i didn't mean any disrespect for a woman in such a position, and of such appearence if you dont mind the compliment." His hands crossed in his lap and he smiled at the woman as he drank from the tea again.

"And I am probably old enough to be your mother, If you could believe it. "

Her smile was constant, unshakable. But if keter were here to hear this, he might have a few things to say to this one about flirting with his Wife. Keter was so jealous.

"Why do you want to heal? "

His expression turned serious as he nodded, to business. "I can't protect those with aggression alone, i want to be able to protect those from the evils of greed and power without effecting the natural order, healing is the most importan thing that i could find that would be able to do that.

The Eternal Queen
"No."

The Queen was still smiling, but her demeaner changed almost immediately from kind hearted monarch, to stone cold teacher.

"You do not heal and fight at the same time. The very idea of it is just counter productive. Would you hurt someone and heal them at the same time? So why do it in any other order? You are either a healer, or you are not a healer. End of story."

[member="Feena Mason"]

"Im sorry if i spoke wrong, as it wasn't my intention to fight and heal those at the same time. I simply meant that through healing i can protect people from dying wrongfully, i didn't mean to strike at others in the least." He wasn't lying at all, he truly hadn't even thought about raising a blade if he learned this, he wouldn't need to. He could just heal those who needed it, protect them from the grip of death and save them, that was his intention.

The Eternal Queen
The Queen was not yet convinced. She didn't train just anybody. She only trained those who would stick around. Those who would do the duty of a healer. Only the duty of a healer.

"How many dead people have you seen?"

[member="Solan Charr"]

[member="Feena Mason"]

"Too many to count, it would be easier too say how man ive killed than seen... im not innocent of death, most in war, some would call what i did murder... I want to make this simple fact clear, have you seen your own death, and the death of those you know, than the death of those you never met. Have you caused death with your own hands... the latter one, the first few make you sick, they haunt you, then you stop seeing their faces, but my death and the death of those i know... that is something no matter how many times you see you never get used to it. I need to change the future, take hold and alter my course so that those i know i dont see die without my trying to help them..."

The Eternal Queen
"No! No. No. No."

The Queen snapped. She looked more than displeased. She looked... wounded. Looking past her guest, she could still see them. Her ghosts. Her failures hovering just in the distance. A fog in her daily life.

"You do not forget! Never forget! Never! You remember them. You hold them in your heart constantly. You are to hurt for them for every second of every day! That is the healers curse. Compassion! It is not only for our loved ones! It is for everybody, even our enemies."

She looked down at her hands. So red, so sticky, so... wet.

"The blood never washes away, don't you know that? I know what it is like to see your death. I know. I know. But do you know? Do you want to know? This power is a curse. Do you really want that?"

He stared at her and had stopped breathing, watching the woman who he thought would remain composed no matter what break down. He had seen the blood she mentioned, he had caused it and tried to stop it... but he had never reacted like that. But he understood that, he had seen hundreds die at night, and seeing them in his mind already, he had already met a few people who had changed him from his murderous acts... but this woman spoke in such a way that it inspired true terror. He wanted to protect the weak and innocent, nodding slowly. "Yes, i dont care about the pain or the faces. I don't care about the blood or anything... i want to save those who are suffering, this is the way how."
