A Question on the position of the Prime Minister.

I haven't been a member of the Republic for a while now - but allow me to express this thought.

I don't believe you should just throw in the towel and NPC it. Why? Well, anyone can control an NPC. Yes, it does work for other factions (Sometimes) but the Republic is a unique beast. You have managed to get the Jedi Order out and separate the whole Church and State, why continue to make additional changes?

It should have followed the path of the New Republic. Chief of State, Minister of State. The title of Chancellor was something that I have always associated with failure. It also sounds like a title of a ruler more than one associated with a Republic.

Just my thought.

I prefer the leader to be pc, rather than npc. I think it structures things better, rather than having multiple people potentially running the same character.

An NPC can be controlled by staff, and greatness comes from the members not from a single individual. If the Republic is to be great then making it so through writing and activity is one direction.

Also an NPC wouldn't be able to do the kind of damage that was done by the last PC Leader.

The Faction staff keeps up all the lists, and they decide who is active and who isn't, who is removed and who is not from the Senators list rather than it being the decision of a single person.

I don't understand the reason to hang onto a single writer as the face of the Republic.

What does a PC do in actuality?

I think that it gives someone to go to, instead of writing it up themselves. It's easier to write when you have someone to work off of. At least that's how it works for me.

PC it up, things work better that way for the republic. And to be honest it worked well for the Sith Empire when they had a PC dark lord of the Sith. There was more incentive for them to actually be Sith and try and get power to become the new dark lord.
