The expression on Camellia's face hid the high level of anxiety she was feeling. Of all the things she imagined herself doing, meeting with the Chancellor of the Grand Republic, with Rendili's renown Senator also in attendance, to discuss the potential funding of Rendili's shipyards, run by the Rendili Stardrive company, by the galactic government the world was a part of, was a little overwhelming. After all she was just a simple Captain serving in the military through Rendili's Home Defense Fleet, she had only recently taken hold of the company her grandfather once been in control of until his passing.
If Camellia was anything though it was a proud resident of Rendili and a devoted idealist to the work the world and its holdings had provided to the galaxy, including a vast amount of work in the shipbuilding industry. There was nothing more she wished for than to ensure that Rendili became a more prominent world of the Republic, to make Rendili Stardrive rise as a star among the galactic marketplace and thus aid in improving Rendili's reputation and status. It was a perhaps ambitious and fruitless dream, but Camellia even hoped to one day see that Rendili might become the Republic's capital in the future. It was a gorgeous, high tier, civilized, core world with many resources and facilities too after all.
However, all of that depended on how well Rendili and the things representing it could showcase the planet's usefulness and due importance. She would distinguish herself as an officer and soldier from her homeworld along with the many others of the Defense Force, Rendili Stardrive would make it bolster as a shipwright and make its name more common place, and its infrastructure and the Senator would ensure it grew politically.
As such a meeting with the Chancellor in his office about the potential for new and effective warships in the ongoing war with the Sith, would certainly be a good opportunity to showcase just some of what Rendili could do. Once his staff alerted them that they could enter his office for their appointment. In the meantime Camellia focused on maintaining her posture and composure, straightening any wrinkles she spotted appearing in her uniform as she waited.
