Dreidi Xeraic
Jedi Witch

Being able to practice her abilities in Magick had been crucial in defining who Dreidi was. She wasn't someone attempting to be her mother or father, she wasn't someone who was trying to be a perfect Jedi, she was someone willing to tread her own path and explore the different ways that the Force was viewed and used by others. Dreidi was also convinced it allowed her to embrace aspects of her personality and mentality that wasn't as easily accepted by some Jedi. However, being able to train and being able to develop her skills after leaving the Ascendancy had been tough. The ability to remain in contact or even find others who were well versed in Magick had not been easy. She found some, learn a few abilities that were handy and even received a bow from a witch on Dathomir but there was something about having a mentor, someone she could regularly remain in contact with and frustrate with endless questions. She had missed the years that she had spent with Vanya, before the CIS fell and before contact was lost in the Ascendancy. Vanya had been her introduction to Magick, nightsisters and Dathomiri culture, she was always someone that held a special and sacred spot in Dreidi's heart.
The question was, was Vanya still alive? There were so many people she had lost contact with, so many that she had no idea where they were or if they were even alive. But Dreidi still held out hope that everyone she had cared about was still alive, healthy and would keep in contact some day. Though, perhaps it should be Dreidi looking to keep in contact with others. She had the ability and desire to keep in contact. All that prevented her from doing so was the fear of rejection, or the fear of that person never replying for one reason or another. Dreidi couldn't allow that fear to take hold inside her. She needed to breathe and fight the anxiety. It was too important to her training and plans on being a powerful witch to surrender into childish fears, she was also a Jedi and fear was a dangerous emotion to let grip one's heart.
Figuring that Vanya might still use the same contact methods that they shared before their worlds were turned upside down, Dreidi sat at her desk and attempted to write a message that would be appropriate. While her closest mentor had been Asaraa, they were siblings and there was as much informal communications and teasing as there had been serious talks. Vanya was different in that regard, the respect was high and Dreidi never dared to question that.
"Hello Nightmother,
I was hoping that I would be able to contact you through this old channel once again. I wish that life has found you well and that you would be able to continue mentoring me in the arts of Magick once again. I understand if life has you busy though.
Regards,
Dreidi Xeraic"
Dreidi chewed on her bottom lip, hesitant to press send before shaking her head and pressing the button. This was something she needed to do.
