A reunion and a job

[Scarlet Faith]

Daytime was no time for Scarlet to be out in her red cloak. She had made it a point not to wear it regularly, as it have away her alter ego as the Red Rose. However, she couldn't worry about that now. Currently, she was chasing down a small time crook that had been ripping others off for the last few weeks. Now that he was out and about, she had to catch him. He tried all he could to avoid the girl, but it was inevitable for him to be caught. Running along the rooftops, she tracked his every move. There was no way he would escape.

Yusan had heard that people were running on the roofs again, darned kids. He smiled as he slowly watched and follow the two from a distance and off to the side, keeping a clear sight on both of them from where he walked. Bored her dropped down to the same level as them and ran along the other buildings to their left, at the moment hidden up until the point where the two rows of buildings got close and he jumped to their side, right infront of the crook before he straightened up and stared right at the shocked man. There was a barely audible hiss of exhaust and then suddenly a new figure joined the trio. Jate Kar'ta stood up from her light impact with the ground. Her intense blue eyes looked at the other two with the mark for a moment, sizing them up, before she made a decision. She lifted her right gauntlet, pressed a button, and a stun net leaped forward and caught the man. He withered on the ground of the flat roof for a bit as he was entangled in the net but was stunned once the charge was off. She detached the line from her gauntlet to the net and went over to check on him. He was out cold. She then looked up at the other two with her. She had the feeling she was in the middle of something.

"If you two got some personal business with this guy do it now. I got a bounty to turn in," she said as she stood back up, giving her bounty a light kick with her armored boot.

As the man fell, Scarlet noticed another standing before her, and a huge smile crossed her face. "Yusan!" Running to him, she wrapped the man up in a big hug for a few seconds before pulling away. "It's been too long! What-" She stopped as she heard the sound of more footsteps, followed by a electric net being fired at the criminal. He writhed in pain for several seconds before going still. A woman landed from the same rooftops Scarlet had been using, and talked about a bounty. "This man is property of the law now. Sorry, no bounty."

Yusan smiled, though it would be clear now with her so close that his left side of his face was scarred from burns, and if she looked closely one of his hands would no longer be normal, having lost it during his trial in Black Sun territory. "It is good to see you too Faith... but i think that this woman has your man." He smilled and looked at her, turning in his cloak and robes, letting his eyes fall on her. "Excuse me miss, i will gladly pay for his bounty if you dont mind, hes a criminal and must go to a cell." [member="Jate Kar'ta"]

The little girl apparently had a problem with that. Jate was already aware that the man was wanted by the law. Ripping people off is illegal after all. However her companion was much more reasonable and offered to pay the bounty. Jate shook her head. "The bounty was posted by the city. Technically I'm helping the cops. Rest assured, he's going to jail. Otherwise he wouldn't be breathing right now," she said with another kick in the bounty's gut.

Granted, the city posted the least amount of money and there were a lot of people this guy pissed off but she figured she would get less argument from people, such as little red and her buddy, when she came to collect. "You can keep your money. Now if you excuse me I got a dirtbag to turn in," she said.

Jate grabbed the man and with an umph hefted him on her shoulder. She turned away as she began to go on her way.

Scarlet huffed a little, still not sure. Looking to her friend, she raised an eyebrow, hoping for more help. After all, she did not just take this dude down to see him carried away by some mercenary, which happened to look a lot like her sister. "Okay. What if...we pay you double of whatever you're getting? We can do that right?" She turned to the senator. "Yusan?" The girl sent a look of skepticism his way. The long and short of it was, she didn't just trust some random stranger to do her work. Besides, what if she wasn't really out for the bounty, but was instead helping the man? There was no way to know for sure.

"That depends on how much the bounty is for the man and the fact that turning him over to me would pretty much be the same as turning him over to the planet..." He crossed his hands behind him and waiting for the other woman's response, he wouldn't strike at the woman but he wasnt sure if such a thing was good. Jate stopped and gave an irritated sigh. They were still trying to bargain with her. They didn't understand. She turned to face them, her blue eyes glaring at them both. "Nar'sheb! Keep your money. I gave my word to the police, not you!", she pointed a menacing finger at the man, "And as a Mandalorian I'm going to honor it. Not to some stranger but my employer, the police. If that doesn't satisfy you, look at this!"

She reached into her utility belt and threw out a piece of flimsi. It landed on the ground with the picture of the man facing up. It said wanted alive, reward 500 credits, turn in to city police station. Jate let them read the paper before she pointed and said, "There's your proof. Now I'm going to turn in this bounty. If you are so concerned for his well being then follow me, I don't care. Just don't get in the way of my creds."

With that Jate did a sharp turn and jumped off the building. With the assistance of her jump pack she landed on an adjacent roof. She walked slowly to see if they'll follow.

Scarlet huffed silently, watching the woman leave with her catch. Turning to face [member="Yusan Fenn"], she put her hands on her hips. "I spent the brunt of my day tracking this guy down. I don't care who this girl thinks she is, or who is paying her. I am getting my catch. Now are you coming to help or what?" She gave him an expectant look.

"If only to keep you from getting your own head taken off there faith, dont need to explain that one to the authorities..." He smiled at her and waited forher to set off after the other woman, he would follow along but be much more careful than his companion about how this experience was handled. "... Also, try not to hurt the bounty hunter too much, in my experience that just gets your head put on some list.

Finding no footsteps behind her, Jate decided to continue on her way. Jump pack fully charged, she sped up to a jaunt then jumped to the next roof, her hair and scarf fluttering behind her. They need to move soon before they lose the orange blonde bounty hunter.

Scarlet smirked as Yusan told her to 'try' not to hurt the Mando. He knew her way too well. Clutching her friend close, she readied her scythe. "Hang on, big guy." Pulling the tiny trigger, she launched the two of them back onto the rooftop, where the girl caught sight of the other, still dragging the catch. Taking off, she tried to catch up with her competitor as quickly as possible.

The moment she heard the gunshot Jate yet again launched into the air. This was partially because she wasn't sure if she was getting shot at but also because she knew that rivals weren't far behind. This was her payday. She wasn't going to give it up easily. Her boots crunched in the gravel once she landed. She didn't look back. Her orange scarf fluttered behind her as she tried to keep her speed as she ran to the edge of the roof.

Yusan's eyes went wide as [member="Scarlet Faith"] launched him and herself into the air with the weapon, landing some distance away. Once on the ground he nodded to her and stepped to the side a bit, speaking afterwards. "As much as that was fun, trust me, i can make these jumps. Were faster separated anyways." His hands shot to his side and he burst into a run, fueling his jump to the next building with the force to get him across to it without suffering in the speed department. [member="Jate Kar'ta"]

Chuckling a little, Scarlet followed after the man, continuing to launch herself high into the air. Keeping the woman in sight, she made sure she would not lose the one she was after. Now that Yusan was fine, she would see it for to go ahead, faster than ever. Soon catching up to the blonde, she addressed her. "Give him to me!"

Jate was making good speed but she heard the words of the snarky one behind her, demanding to give the bounty to her. Her blue eyes turned to see the little red head next to her. Jate knew she wasn't going to give this man to her. She was going to see this through. The edge of the building was upon them. Instead of jumping to the next rooftop, the fiery haired woman simply leaped and never activated her jump pack. Her orange scarf left a trail as she descended toward a lower roof, hoping the sudden change of altitude would at least throw them off a little.
