A Rick-Tee Road [Dragon School]

Kashyyyk

Another had been brought before him.

Arisa-Err, Jyoti, had been entrusting him more with new Padawans as of late, the more that he proved his prowess as a teacher. Which was good for him, he supposed if he was earning some trust with the Silver Jedi. He wasn't sure how to gauge that he was progressing, but... Today was about the Padawan, not him.

The Padawan in question would enter a room within the New Silver Temple on Kashyyyk, where they had been assigned. Josh faced away from him, sitting down, legs crossed, in deep meditation... Trying to find his thoughts on what to do on the matter. He had questions, of course. But he would ask them in due time. He appeared to sense his presence as he entered the room, then. With that, he would stop, his head tipping back up before he would un-cross his legs and move to his feet, before spinning his heel and moving to face him.

"You must be the new one. I am Master DragonsFlame. You have been brought here because you wish to learn the Jedi arts. Understand that this will not be an easy task" He would warn straight off. "It will require a high degree of focus, dedication and a lot of time and patience. If you do not think you can handle this, then you are free to turn and walk away, I will not judge you. This path is not for everybody. If you think you can handle that, then I will teach you, and teach you well, I will. I will not stop teaching you until you are ready to venture out on your own.

"Do you have any questions?"

Stopping just before the room where Zeet was to meet his master he couldn’t help but feel a growing sensation of anxiety conflicted but his burning determination to train as a Jedi and bring his sister home. Taking one last moment to check his new white padawan robes with accent blacks and browns he noticed a few flower pedals that must have caught on him from the dense forest of Kashyyyk surrounding the Silver Rest. Dusting them off and then sliding his hands through his light green head tendrils he felt ready to confront the challenge that awaited him across the next threshold.

Stopping just on the inside of the large room Zeet watched as the human began to stand up upon noticing his arrival, at an intimidating height standing even taller than himself with long flowing locks of golden hair and a matching mustache. As the only other occupant of the room, Zeet made the safe assumption that he must be the man who Zeet would come to know as master. The mans’ voice seemed to boom out echoing within the room sounding imposing and serious as he introduced himself and spoke of the seriousness of the task he was to undergo. The realization that he may honestly not be able to coup with such a vast undertaking and the difficulty of the task Zeet almost succumb to his doubts and stepped away.

But as only a passing doubt he quickly gathered his courage and maintained his spot, “I am Zeet Riktee and I dedicate myself to your training.” His voice didn’t boom like his masters instead it carried much lighter more docile but still male in its origins.

Zeet had many questions and concerns but there were far too many and his thoughts were too scattered to formulate them into coherent questions. Rather he came to the conclusion that it might be best to decline for now and if the opportunity arose again later he might then be able to express his ever growing concerns and thoughts. “No Master, I am ready to begin my training.” He replied shaking his head reinforcing his verbal statement.

Questions would be necessary. He had been given this Padawan with no prior information on them, so asking would hopefully be the best thing for getting what he needed to know before training him. Josh wore darker robes, a brown color that harkened to a more classic era of Jedi Masters, as he would look this new Padawan over, up and down, up and down. All while trying to sense his emotions, his thoughts, his feelings... He wanted to know what he could about this man in order to better be able to train him, to the best of his abilities.

"Good" He spoke calmly, yet firmly as the man would "dedicate" himself to his training. Well, he was certainly spirited, to say the least. "Let's hope you can keep that dedication moving forward."

It was time for the questions, then. "First up" He would begin with before following it with a... "What level of experience do you have? List your skills, what you can do, how much do you know of and about the Force?"

His new master was direct and Zeet liked that as he didn’t have time to spend on pleasantries, time was slipping and he could feel it ticking by. “Well My sister was the stronger in the force as a child so she was sent to the Republic Jedi Academy.” Zeet felt a sensation of disgust and frustration as he spoke of the Republic and their precious Jedi. “She would visit on regular occasions and taught me what she could, but I never dedicated much time to in until after her disappearance.” The memories of his sisters’ disappearance and the Jedi’s attempt to cover it up as far as he knew continued to frustrate him even more.

Taking a deep breath Zeet put his hands together behind his back and continued, “I can sense things before others, I seem to be capable of feats beyond those around me, and have learned telekinesis among a few other basic skills. I realize the force is there and can sense it but my manipulation of it is more subconscious rather than on demand.”

Zeet hesitated for a moment thinking rather or not he should expose his link with his sister. He and his sister had always shared a connection even occasionally sharing thoughts despite lightyears separating them. Even after her disappearance and supposed death he still sensed her and wasn’t surprised when he learned of her survival. “There is one other thing, my sister she and I share an unspoken bound or link I guess.” Zeet twisted the tip of his foot digging down at the ground as he starred at his foot avoiding eye contact with his Master. “Even now I can faintly feel her out in the void of space in turmoil, she has fallen to the dark and allied herself with the Sith.”

Confronting his fear of her fall and his possible vulnerability because of her connection was tough but it was best he thought to come clean now. If his master could help him find her or at least prepare him to eventually confront her he needed to be upfront with him as to best prepare him for that eventuality.

Josh had no love for the Republic for good reason. Whether it were the Galactic Republic, the Remnant or some split-off, Josh didn't trust a single one. And he could sense the disgust, the distaste, the dishevel, the hate and the frustration. But he continued to listen.

"I see" He responded. "First of all, I recommend you purge yourself of feelings of envy. Jealousy. Frustration. Anger. They will only lead you to something even worse than the very things you feel these things for" Josh would suggest in turn. He was able to sense his feelings, they were like a beacon, he wasn't doing well at hiding them. And Josh was very blunt about the consequences of them. "And trust me, it gets a lot worse."

"I will address the link later... When you are stronger."

He let that hang for a moment as he paced about the room, before continuing.

"For now, it appears you have latent potential but cannot bring it out on command... Let us change that. Sit. Cross-legged, eyes closed. Purge your mind of all thoughts, and listen only to what I have to say."
