Audrey Thénardier
Crime is a Family Business
In the Thénardier estate on the tranquil system of Naboo a small party was being hosted. It was late into the afternoon, only an hour after the party itself had commenced, and already it was proving to be beneifical to the host. All who attended wore thier best dressing robes and gowns while some of the woman wore thier hair in the acceptiable fashions the Naboo people tended to wear. Droids and other servants displayed food and drink for the guests while music played on.
Eventually, as the guests were prattling on about personal or unoffical matters, one of the servants rang the bell to indicate dinner was ready. Everyone migrated over to the dining hall was a great table was laid out and all manner of dishes were served. At the head of the table was the host, Lady Audrey Thénardier and the head of the Thénardier family household. Unlike her other lady guests Audrey had worn clothing more suited for men.
A suit and jacket and pants and bow-tie and the like. While she sat like a lady and spoke as such she seemed to have a more demanding air about her when dressed as a man. In fact that was partly why she chose such wardrobe in the first place, to add her sense of authority as head of the family. As she spoke with her guests she would often adjust her glasses that sat on her nose or began to slowly remove the gloves on her hands once the food was prepared. But all the while she acted as a pleasent host to her noble guests.
As they dinner went on one of the men at the table had said "My good lady, this wine is delictable. Corellian?"
"Twi'lek." she answered while swirling the wine in her glass around. "Some of the finest. I aquired it from one of my business partners for my shipment company on Ryloth. Up to forty cases in fact. He practically gift wrapped them for me."
"I still don't see the need for you to continually run that simple business, my lady." a female guest commented. "You should put more focus towards your duties as a lady."
With a smirk she retorted "If I don't keep my mind focused on both, I'd be beside myself. Any regardless, we nobles have to get out hands drity now and then. Don't we?"
A cobble of agreements went out among the guests, even a few laughs, before everyone continued on with thier meal. As she sat there, however, Lady Audrey had been checking the clock at the door leading out to the rest of the estate. She was expecting a "special guest", and was wondering what had been taking him so long.
