A Royal Agenda (Mit Tuxaire)

Audrey Thénardier

Crime is a Family Business
In the Thénardier estate on the tranquil system of Naboo a small party was being hosted. It was late into the afternoon, only an hour after the party itself had commenced, and already it was proving to be beneifical to the host. All who attended wore thier best dressing robes and gowns while some of the woman wore thier hair in the acceptiable fashions the Naboo people tended to wear. Droids and other servants displayed food and drink for the guests while music played on.

Eventually, as the guests were prattling on about personal or unoffical matters, one of the servants rang the bell to indicate dinner was ready. Everyone migrated over to the dining hall was a great table was laid out and all manner of dishes were served. At the head of the table was the host, Lady Audrey Thénardier and the head of the Thénardier family household. Unlike her other lady guests Audrey had worn clothing more suited for men.

A suit and jacket and pants and bow-tie and the like. While she sat like a lady and spoke as such she seemed to have a more demanding air about her when dressed as a man. In fact that was partly why she chose such wardrobe in the first place, to add her sense of authority as head of the family. As she spoke with her guests she would often adjust her glasses that sat on her nose or began to slowly remove the gloves on her hands once the food was prepared. But all the while she acted as a pleasent host to her noble guests.

As they dinner went on one of the men at the table had said "My good lady, this wine is delictable. Corellian?"

"Twi'lek." she answered while swirling the wine in her glass around. "Some of the finest. I aquired it from one of my business partners for my shipment company on Ryloth. Up to forty cases in fact. He practically gift wrapped them for me."

"I still don't see the need for you to continually run that simple business, my lady." a female guest commented. "You should put more focus towards your duties as a lady."

With a smirk she retorted "If I don't keep my mind focused on both, I'd be beside myself. Any regardless, we nobles have to get out hands drity now and then. Don't we?"

A cobble of agreements went out among the guests, even a few laughs, before everyone continued on with thier meal. As she sat there, however, Lady Audrey had been checking the clock at the door leading out to the rest of the estate. She was expecting a "special guest", and was wondering what had been taking him so long.

Mit Tuxaire was late, very late, and he knew it. The party hadn't been going on for long, but it only took a minute for everything to fall apart. "Right this way." One of the officials said, they led Mit through a beautifully decorated hall and into what appeared to be a dining room. Mit was dressed in a handsome suit, he walked with a slight limp and steadied himself with a beautiful wooden cane, He wore a tall hat, adorned with a single feather. No one paid him any mind as he walked in, why would they? With an air of grace he walked towards the head of the table. "Lady Audrey Thenardier, its a pleasure." He said as he kneeled, "I hope my, delay in arrival did not encroach on your enjoyment?" he said with a smile.

(lol Yeah, I tend to just copy and paste the name Thénardier lol)

Once the man had entered Lady Thénardier had been sipping down some of the soup provided as an appetizer for the evening. Another spoonful had gone down her throat before the top hat wearing man had entered and gartered her attetion.

"Ah, yes. So glad you could make it." she said, which had finally gained the attention of the other guests to see him. Standing she held her hand out for him to shake while saying "Don't worry about the time. Fasionably late is better than not attending at all." She added a small laugh some of the others adding to it, before turning to her guests and saying "If you'll all excuse me. I have to settle another important business transaction with my guest. I'll return in due time."

She nodded for Mix to follow her as they both walked out of the room and down one of the many halls of the estate. Eventually, as they walked, a protocol droid had started shuffling after before catching up and walking with them. Lady Audrey was quiet the entrie time until they'd reached what seemed like a private office.

The room itself was spacious enough with only a desk and chairs in the center of it. Two large windows on the wall looked out to the nearby lake and different peices of art and armory were displayed all about. Once they were inside the protocol droid had closed the doors behind them.

Now alone Lady Thénardier let out an annoyed sigh before saying "Thank the force you finally arrived. Anymore keeping up with thier damned apperances and I was about ready to shoot myself." As she spoke, her tone become more low and commanding, she walked over to her desk before pulling out a cigar and lighter from her jacket and litting it, then saying to Mix "Have a seat, Mr. Tuxaire."

(At Least autocorrect is nice to your name... :p)

Mit followed the droid, once they reached the office he took a moment to look at the room, he always took the view of a room from an assassin's perspective, tracing the vents with his eyes, running his hand along the wall to test how easy it would be to climb. "They do seem quite a bit like sheep without a shepherd." He said. He pulled back one of the few chairs lined up in front of the desk and took a seat. "So, Lady Thénardier What is this 'Important business'?" Mit said he had left his cane just within reach, for someone like Lady Thénardier it would be as much of a sign as a neon billboard that the cane was a form of protection as well.

Still standing at her desk and smoking down her cigar she looked to him and said "I hear word that you, Mr. Tuxaire, are a man who deals in mercenary work. At least when listening to the right channels in the underground world. They say you're the type who can get a job done and over with easily. I could use someone with those sets of skills. You see, recenlty on of my employees had become a little careless with some important data during one of our shipping transactions. Now it's in the hands of a small gang lead by a man named Fubor Deletar."

Hitting a button on her side of the desk a holographic image appeared on it that showd a zebrak male posing for a criminal lineup. During thier discussion the droid had asked Mit if he required any refreshments of a smoke, having the same cigars as Lady Thénardier had ready in it's hands.

"No, but thank you." Mit said, waving the droid away. "Betrayal huh? well, we can't let that slide can we?" He said with a grin, "I don't see anything wrong with it, where is this 'Fubor Deletar'? I can take him out no problem."

He waved his hand towards the cane, then back towards one of his black boots, once you looked closely enough you could see that there were buckles and seals covering knives and ammo all over his clothes.

Despite seeing his weaponry Lady Thénardier didn't flintch or seemed phased by it. In fact all her response was another puff of smoke escaping from her mouth and nostrils before setting the remains out in a nearby ash tray.

"He's recently relocated himself and his entire crew to Genosis. He thinks he can hide away until his benefactors arrive to make good on thier deal. But they won't, will they?" she asked, giving him a smirk in knowing his answer. After his response she said "See it done and you'll be paid 1 million credits. Unmarked and able for use wherever you so chose. If you decide, I may have futher work for you if you managed to suceed."

" 'Manage to succeed' " Mit smiled, "If I managed to fail, It would be because I was dead." With this, he stood up, "When do we start."

"As soon as possible." she answered. With that she began walking towards the door while saying "I hope you succeed, Mr. Tuxaire. I'd hate to have to be proven wrong in thinking I haven't hired the best money can buy."

After that she walked to the doors, they opening up for her thanks to the men outside, before they closed in the process. The protocl droid then handed [member="Mit Tuxaire"] a small datapad with any and all information he may have needed to know where and how to deal with Deletar and his men. After that it shuffled off and out of the room, following Madame Thénardier, before leaving him to do with it as he pleased.

(Idk if you want to time skip or actually play out the assasination. Your choice.)

Audrey Thénardier

Crime is a Family Business
It had been two days since Lady Thénardier had sent [member="Mit Tuxaire"] off to take care of her personal matter. During that time she'd continued on with the daily routines of her life. Usually this included attended a small party or meeting with others from the noble houses while taking personal time to read or enjoy listening to music while possibly training in her armed combat fighting; including arts such as fencing.

By the time Mit would return she would be engaged in a training fight with no-less than five battle droids, all armed with two blades each. As she fought with each of them with her own blade clanging against metal from the sowrds and their bodies it was all being done to the accompaniment of some opera-like tune being played by a small band nearby. They were well equipped with thier own tools of trade as they played different sized string and horn and harp instruments.

Lady Thénardier was proving her skills well as she managed to take on the droids with ease. Even when outmatched and out gunned, in terms of swords, she managed to block, parry and dodge all incoming attacks while managing to play to her oppoenet's strength's and weaknesses. She tended to use thier bodies against them or manuver herself out of ditance from a sword swing before returning with a volly of jabs and probs that would usually hit their target before being blocked.

As Mit would come to the training room in the Thénardier a protocol droid, the same one who'd attended to him earlier, asked that he wait while the Lady Audrey finished.

Mit walked, dressed in the very same suit as he was two days ago, into the same building he had been two days ago. "No, I think i'd rather watch." He said, dodging past the droid and into the room. Lady Thénardier was in the middle of a training sequence with some droids, one by one they fell until it was just her and the lead droid. With much more grace than would be expected, Mit vaulted over a low barrier that separated the training area from the rest of the room, and with a swipe of his hand, the droid fell. "Lady Thénardier, its a pleasure." He said, he had caught her sword with his own after dispatching the droid.

"I hope you don't mind my sudden entrance."

In the midst of her fighting Audrey had but one droid left, which was putting up more of a fight than the others. Constant blocks and parrys were soon answered with jabs and probs towards both of them as one tried to gain footing over the other. She was glad this one wasn't going down as easily as the others. It meant more experienced to be gained.

However she was stopped from finally making a killing blow when Mit had interfered. She was a bit surprised by how quick of a flash he'd moved and disspacthed the droid before grabbing her sword in the process. She needed a second to realize what had happened while catching her breath. Upon seeing and letting it all sink in she drew her blade back and away from him before flipping it upside down, the sharp tip now pointed to the ground.

As she caught her breath she said "If you wanted to kill the droid so bad, you could've just asked." She took another moment to regain herself while wiping some of the sweat from her brow, before asking "I trust everything went well on your little assigment?"

Mit slid the needle sharp sword back into his cane, the sword was cleverly set to lock into position when the sheath was put over it. "If it had gone badly would I be here?" He said with a curt bow, "I hope I wasn't missed too badly."

Mit fished in one of his pocket, pulling out the ID tags of the targets from the assignment, "If you needed any proof." He kicked the droid that he had just destroyed, "We make quite the team." He said with a joking grin.

Taking the ID from his had Audrey looked it over for a moment to make sure it wasn't a fake. She'd been familiar with false IDs in the past, mainly because she'd used them herself on a number of occasions. She'd even held it against the light, just to be sure.

Once she was convinced she turned back and said "Good work, Mr. Tuxaire. Though this ins't a partnership so much as a business transaction." she then gestured to one of the servants present who walked over with a case, containing a credit chit with his payment. Looking to him she said "You'll find your payment ready and accounted for. Unmarked of course." After that she added "I'm curious if you thought about the other offer I'd given you when we first met. About having further work in store for you."

Mit was silent for a moment, "Of course, If you have work, I would gladly do it. I don't exactly have an employer." He shrugged and looked at the case.

"Give me a call when you have work for me, I don't much care what the job is."

With a bemused look she said "Glad to see you're so willing to accept, Mr. Tuxiare. Allow me to at least explain what is involved. As far as the rest of the galaxy is concerned, you and I have never done any business. We never met and neither of us were here." She snapped her fingers and the servant gave him a modified looking comm device. "This device has been customly altered to be scambled while we converse, vie the holonet. We don't want nosy ears and eyes listening in. You're of course free to proceed on with your life and spend your money as you wish. But should I call, you're to drop everything and proceed with whatever assignment I give you. Any information and resources you need with be provided of course, as will your payment once you've completed. Understood?"

"Understood, M'lady. So, what now?" Mit said, tipping his hat slightly

He attached the com device to the brim of his hat, "I must say, it has been a pleasure."

"For now, you're free to leave. Or stay. Whichever you prefer." she answered before gesturing for another servant to come to her. Once he arrived he gave her a cigar, which she put in her mouth, before using a lighter to lite the tip for her. After breathing in a little and letting a stream of smoke pour from her nose, she looked to [member="Mit Tuxaire"] and asked "Tell me, Mr. Tuxaire, do you enjoy attending parties? Particullary the ones you won't have to kill anyone during?" Another snap of her fingers and the first servant presented an invitation to him while she explained "I'm hosting one in a few weeks. A sort of get together with a few clients and hirlings to show my appreciation for such fortuitous partnerships. More of a formality thing, really. I'm even inviting my family. You are, of course, free to attend yourself."

"I do prefer attending parties when killing the guests isn't involved," Mit said with a grin, "I'm not much for formal gatherings, but it wouldn't hurt to attend. And, I would like to stay for a while, of course, that is, if it does not bother you." He took the invitation and slipped it into one of his chest-pockets. Turning back to [member="Audrey Thénardier"] he chose to speak the question that had been bothering him for a while. "I must ask, who is left of your family? you seem like the type that would end up on the wrong end of a sword quite often."
