A Series of Unfortunate Events - Mining of Belkadan

The ISS Mikoshi was situated on the fringes of the gravitational wells of Belkadan; Kitsune waited for the shipment of mining equipment to arrive. Despite the development of manufacturing and industrial infrastructure on Belkadan, the Inari Shogunate and its subsidiary company, the Izanami Ironworks, still heavily relied on the rest of the planets of the Shadow Dynasty for raw materials. Kitsune wanted to change this. Thus, she ordered a shipment of 3600 units of mining lasers, 2400 units of ion shovels, and 1200 units of laser drills under the name and banking account of the Shadow Dynasty. Of course, the drop-off point for the shipment was the planet of Belkadan and well, Kitsune wanted to prevent this from delivery from being completed. Paying for things were complicated for Kitsune. Paying incurred loss, and where there was loss, well. Kistune wasn't particularly fond of loss. And in this particular case, Kitsune was earn the money the Shadow Dynasty had lost by pocketing refunded costs of the devices. A win-win situation in all cases.

In this particular case, a small corvette was sent out, a Consular-class Cruiser (Charger c70 retrofit) in order to collect the order through aggressive diplomatic means. The crew was entirely human, as such barbaric practices could not be completed or known by any in the Inari Shogunate, and these men were simply known as degenerate, hired mercenaries, or ronin. This, of course, was only partially false as they were in reality the sizable and loyal Human paramilitary force Kitsune used when necessary.

And this was were such help was needed.

The standard crimson coloration of Consular-class Cruiser was replaced with a glistening coat of stark white and vivid blue markings. Although outside sensors identified the ship's signature as a vessel of the Shadow Dynasty and with the name Forgotten Dusk, the true signature of the ship was the ISS Last Ronin. This was accomplished by the ship's scramblers and bafflers, allowing the captain of the ISS Last Ronin to disguise the ship as a wide array of false signatures.

The ISS Last Ronin slowly grinded to a halt next to the heavily armed ILH-KK Citadel-class Civilian Cruiser. The armaments of the ship was unnecessary, but was most likely due to the destination being in the fringes of the known galaxy. It was most likely a security measure to deter pirates and other scum from raiding the vessel. Of course, this was meaningless, as the vessel already fell prey to the ISS Last Ronin as the docking clamps were secured on the docking port of the ILH-KK Citadel-class Civilian Cruiser.

As the docking clamps secured onto the ILH-KK Citadel-class Civilian Cruiser, the leader of the band of Ronin, an unnamed Ronin, stood still at the sealed blast doors of the docking port. He silently waited for the docking ports to open. Within a few moments, the hydraulic systems of the docking port hissed and the blast doors of the docking port slowly creaked open. The vacuum seal was released, letting out another hiss as the pressure equalized between the ILH-KK Citadel-class Civilian Cruiser and the ISS Last Ronin.

The leader of the band of Ronin took one step towards the open docking port. One of the six men behind paused and cautiously stated, "Amanojaku, perhaps we should exercise caution..."

He looked back at the man who had spoken out, who was donned in simple armorweave clothing and was equipped with a force pike. Amanojaku casually slung the force pike on his shoulder and leaned it against his neck. He smugly smiled before walking aboard the the other ship.

There would be nothing left when he was finished.

Amanojaku was completely at ease as he stepped aboard the ILH-KK Citadel-class Civilian Cruiser. Scans from the ISS Last Ronin identified the ship as the Nocturnal Existence and sensory information revealed nothing out of the ordinary. However, as soon as he steps aboard the ship, he hears a faint hissing noise. Instinctively, he covers his mouth and takes out a small breathing apparatus from his robe. He takes a deep breath from the artificial breathing filter before looking behind him. All six of his men, either out of the same instinct or in the practice of following their leader, also seemed to have acted in time to prevent the effects of the gas. Amanojaku immediately looks around his surroundings and brandishes his force pike.

He focuses on the noise of gas before locating its source at four separate vents. He immediately hurls his force pike at the left vent and the vibro systems of the force pike destroy the vent completely and the hissing slightly ceases. He leaps sideways and tears out the force pike from its place, before removing the force pike and spinning around, hurling the force pike into the next vent. During these events, the six soldiers behind him immediately leap forward and smash the two remaining vents. The hissing ceases completely, and as soon as this swift execution is completed, the hangar bay's entrance doors slowly open and four workers enter with bulk gas masks and orange engineer's overalls. The six soldiers in front of Amanojaku charge forward, stabbing the four workers instantly in the abdomens and lifting them in the air. They simultaneously slam the workers down to the ground, and the vibro systems of the force pike shred apart the flesh, organs, and bone from their guts, releasing a thick mist of oxygenated red blood and a flurry of various intestinal organs, skin, fat and muscle.

The men swing their force pikes in a backwards arc and begin sprinting down the hallway. Amanojaku leaps forward and over the splatter of ensuing gore in order to ensure that his clothing remain unsoiled. The four men begin their charge forward, with three sharply turning to the right and continuing to the cockpit of the ship, one sharply turning to the left and to the storage facilities of the ship, and finally, one continuing forward and into the other hangar bay.

Temporarily pausing for a moment to assess the options before him, Amanojaku decided that it would be best to contact the ISS Last Ronin before proceeding. He opened his private comms to the ship and stated, "Send in another squad. Leave the ship unscathed."

He surveyed the area once again before turning sharply to the right and following the three other ronin. Two of the ronin quickly open the doors leading to the crew quarters while Amanojaku and the last ronin barge into the cockpit.

The two ronin who entered the crew quarters quickly inspected the rooms before failing to see any discernible threats. Satisfied, the two ronin quickly left the rooms before beginning to follow Amanojaku and his two ronin. Amanojaku and his two men leaned against the frame of the door and Amanojaku poised himself before the blast door. The ronin slammed open the door and Amanojaku hurled his force pike at the nearest sentient being spotted. Piercing his chest and protruding from his back awkwardly, the two pilots immediately rose from their seats and turned around in shock.

The two ronin grasped the frame of the door and propelled themselves forward. With one arm, they lashed with their force pikes at the jugular veins of pilots and struck with utmost precision and accuracy. After their perfect strikes, they grabbed the two lifeless bodies of the pilots and immediately seated themselves on board.

Amanojaku instantly stated, "Check on the others and be sure to thoroughly sweep the rest of the ship."

The two men behind him bowed their heads and quickly ran to inspect the two other hangar bays and the main storage facilities. Amanojaku quickly followed suit in order to regroup with the other squad.

As Amanojaku sprinted towards the intersection of the ship, he abruptly was encountered by the squad sent in by the ISS Last Ronin. He inspected all of them to ensure their suits were fully functioning and nodded. Seeing their six Kiyohime-class Blaster Rifles gave him assurance that any threats could easily be dealt with. He pointed at the four closest to him and mandated, "You two, go to the cockpit and bunker down, two men taking cover in the crew quarters and another two in the cockpit itself. Use the bodies as shields. We don't know who else is on this ship and scans indicated at least 23 more individuals plus any combat droids they may have brought in. Prepare for the worst, and I'll comm you for backup if needed."

The four men bowed their heads and quickly sprinted down the hallway and towards the cockpit, pushing out beds, furniture, and the three bodies to use as additional cover.

He nodded at the remaining two and and motioned towards the secondary hangar bay. Silently approaching the blast doors, he slammed open the security measures and the two men behind him immediately surveyed the room for any hostiles. It was completely empty minus for an array of crates, and Amanojaku activated his biological sensors. His sensors failed to detect any lifeforms and he nodded at the two men behind him to check the large storage facilities in the rear of the ship. Amanojaku expected for the other member of his squad to be here, although now he was wary about the situation devolving inside of the storage facilities.

Dashing forward with his two soldiers, Amanojaku leaned against the frame of the blast doors leading to the storage facilities behind them. The sensors of the ISS Lost Ronin were unable to accurately scan this expanse of area. Thus, he was effectively running blind into an unknown situation. Slowly approaching the blast doors of the secured area of the freighter, he paused. Gripping his force pike, he knew that only a melee weapon would not suffice. However, he had no choice with this matter and it was of utmost necessity for this issue to finish this quickly: his Goddess was waiting. Waiting for too long.

He nodded in confirmation with the two men behind him and opened the blast doors by slamming on the control panel. No response.

Amanojaku quickly removed a security blade from a hidden pouch in his sleeve before swiping it against the control panel. It lets out a satisfactory confirmatory beep. A green light flickers into existence and then the blast doors open. Almost immediately, twelve laser beams waver on Amanojaku's chest and he observes the room.

His four men are kneeled in the front with stun cuffs restraining them and in addition, nine corpses strewn across the room. In the back of the room and situated on an ornate Greel wood chair. The cushions are stitched with an elaborate and intricate design, and a round, well-dressed gentleman sits comfortably. A duplicate chair is beside him, and a dischieveled woman with a white medical straightjacket is firmly tied within. She whimpers audibly, although a large fabric cloth seems to muffle any noise.

He grasped his black ivory cane and sighed with a look of utmost contemplation. Pausing for a moment, the gentleman analyzed the situation before him. His high-crowned and wide-brimmed tanned black tanner leather hat was crooked on his fat, balding head.

He began his long harangue to Amanojaku, "Now you see. Let me introduce myself, as you heathens have no idea whose ship you are boarding. My name is Bishop Cross and I am the Corporate Executive Officer and Owner of Cross Mining Company, as well as, an executive member of the Cloud City Miner's Guild."

He pauses to allow Amanojaku to realize this fact, but Amanojaku remains unphased by this new information. Bishop coughs and clears his throat before continuing.

"Well, you must be familiar with my niece, Arlene Cross, who was granted ownership and leadership of one of Cross Mining Company's subsidiaries as a coming of age ceremony and gift. She has dealt with K..." he pauses for a moment to attempt to recollect how to pronounce the name and tilts his head in contemplation before resuming his train of thought, "Kat. Correct?"

Upon informal mention of his goddess, Amanojaku flinches visibly and he changes his neutral and calm composure to one of utmost hatred and disgust. Bishop smiles happily and finishes, "I need to speak to Kat at once... my niece is under the influence of something..."

He gestures, breaking his composure for a moment in a state of worry, to the bound woman besides him and waits for a response.

Without a response, Bishop looked at Amanojaku and the two men behind him with scorn. In response to their silence, he immediately coughed, and the twelve guards aiming their sights on Amanojaku maintained their aim, but immediately converged in front of him in order to prevent being hit by any stray blaster fire. "Suit yourself." Bishop stated affirmatively, "Now boys, teach these kids how we do things back home."

The twelve guards slowly approached Amanojaku and his two accompanying soldiers. Their sights were steady of Amanojaku, not faltering for the slightest moment. As soon as they came into range, one stepped out of formation and addressed him, "Drop your weapons and place your hands behind your back."

Amanojaku looked at the guard and brandished a wicked smile before immediately picking up his force pike and decapitating him in one fell swoop.

In order to swiftly finish execution, he continued to swing his force pike in a complete arc before acrobatically retreating backwards with a series of short back flips. The two men behind him immediately opened fire, slaying four of the guards before being forced to take cover behind the open black door by a barrage of blaster bolts in retaliation. Amanojaku regains his balance a few meters away from the doorway and his armorweave clothing, which more specifically, a martial arts training uniform called a keikogi, dissipated the stun blaster bolts with ease.

At this time, the four men supposedly restrained and unconscious hostages immediately rose from their positions unbound. They immediately went on deftly executing four of the guards by snapping their necks completely, while the two accompanying men of Amanojaku immediately eliminated the other guards. All in all, Amanojaku had accomplished his mission once again with 100% efficiency. He slowly stepped toward Bishop, carefully taking each step and slapping his foot against the durasteel floors. Each step echoed throughout the large storage room, causing nearby glassware and crates to rattle slightly.

Amanojaku brandished another smile at Bishop and stated, "Now, let's teach you some manners."

Ciara

Huntress of the North
OOC: Posted under wrong character. This post is Kitsune's, not Ciara's. Thank you.

Observing the situation that had devolved around him and slowly processing what had just occurred, Bishop quivered for a moment before stating bitterly, "What do you want?"

"Your company." Amanojaku replied simply, "We want all raw resource exports of your company to come here. To the Inari Shogunate."

"That's ridiculous, we are a multi-million credit industry. We can not afford to just give you the resources, and with the inclusion of eliminating all our mining contracts. We would go bankrupt!" Bishop protested in exasperation of his outrageous demands.

"You violated our airspace. You violated our laws. You violated our religion. You must pay the price." Amanojaku replied aggressively. He slammed the force pike into his hat, causing the hat and most of his hair to shred into pieces.

Bishop screamed, "STOP, STOP."

He had urinated all over his pants in shock and grasped his chest for air. Bishop heaved before conceding, "I'll give you everything...Please, don't kill me."

"Password?" Amanojaku responded rigidly, grabbing the datapad next to Bishop.

Bishop muttered a few words and Amanojaku unlocked it. Opening up the stock portfolios and bank accounts of Cross, he immediately typed in the digits to the Lost Ronin's credit account, transferring any credits Bishop had under his false identity.

"Thank you, but we no longer require your assistance. Simply due to the fact that your current inheritance documents name Miss Arlene Cross as your sole beneficiary, and thus, we will gain control of your company. Thus if you die..." Amanojaku said solemnly.

Bishop screamed, "NO, WAIT, JUST WAIT A SECOND. WAIT A DAMN GOD SECOND. PLEASE. THERE'S SOMETHING ELSE YOU MAY WANT. I HAVE SOMETHING ELSE THAT YOU'LL LOSE IF I DIE."

Forcibly ripping out the force pike from the chair, Amanojaku deactivated the vibro systems and deftly twirled it in the air before lazily leaning it against his shoulder. Interested in what he had to say, "You have six seconds. One. Two."

"I have a large deposit of credits.."

"Three."

"Rare items, and ships on a station"

"Four."

"in the Far Outer Rim. It'll be unwise..."

"Five."

"Of you to execute you me here, no?" he stated rationally, speeding up as Amanojaku counted.

"Six." Amanojaku finished counting.

Amanojaku quickly engaged the hyperdrive systems to the designated coordinates. At the coordinates, a massive military complex was there along with a full escort of six Tartan-class Patrol Cruisers and eighteen squadrons of TIE/ln Starfighters circling the entire station. Amanojaku paused before entering the crew quarters where Bishop lied. Bishop grinned, and Amanojaku began assaulting him. Beating him within an inch of his life before he fell unconscious, Amanojaku stood up and re-enter the cockpit, bloodied. There would be a few hours before the ship arrived at the station, but a few hours was not enough.

"Call in reinforcements. We need agents to infiltrate this place before we dock."

Mikkel Markov

Exemplar of the Bleeding Sun
Mikkel, having infiltrated the base for a mission a few weeks ago, is posing as a guard in the command bay of the station. Picking up the call for reinforcements on a Primeval channel, Mikkel sighed and sent a message to [member="Kitsune"] in binary by tapping on the transmitter hidden in his pocket: Agent of Bleeding Sun in station command bay. Taking over momentarily.

Reaching behind his back and pulling two flash bangs out of his pack, Mikkel shouted "Hey!" to get everyone's attention. As everyone turned to face him, Mikkel pulled the pins on the flash bangs and threw them into the air, turning his head and covering his ears. After the grenades went off, Mikkel drew his pistol and a knife and proceeded to assassinate everyone on deck, starting with the guard next to him.

Marth heard the talk over the comms, having infiltrated the station yesterday he was new to the place. He listened as the reinforcements were called, taking in a deep breath. Moments later there was a loud explosion, he chuckled to himself as he heard the quiet ringing in his ears, muffled by the door. The guard on the opposite side of the door looked to him in alarm, turning to the door. Marth took the opportunity, slamming a foot against his back before firing a couple of shots into the soldier's back. He fell limp. The Umbaran removed his helmet, throwing it to one side before opening and shooting through the doorway. He looked up to see Mikkel taking down each of the guards. He threw the rifle to one side, drawing his lightsabre that he had managed to smuggle on board, along with the pistol provided by the station, "You seem to have this covered.." He said with a chuckle, before pressing a button on the metal, a bright blue light drawing shooting up.

[member="Mikkel Markov"]

As soon as Mikkel was finished with the slaughter of the entire command center, the comms systems erupted from the barely audible static. "This is the Tartan-class Patrol Cruiser Remembrance. A ship is request to dock. Scans have been relayed over, confirmed to dock?"

The scans indicated a ship registered to Bishop Cross. On the manifests of the station, you could see that he was a high priority asset that needed utmost protection. A communication option displayed on the controls of the station, prompting whether or not diplomatic channels were to be created with the ship.

...

Meanwhile, Amanojaku waited anxiously for more news. His men had further restrained Bishop Cross and placed him inside of a cargo container for safe measure. Of course, they kept the lid open for the man to breathe. The men of the Inari Shogunate needed the man alive, of course.

Mikkel Markov

Exemplar of the Bleeding Sun
Mikkel wiped the blood off the controls and replied to the Remembrance. "Affirmative, ship confirmed to dock. Opening diplomatic channels with the craft momentarily," Mikkel said in a calm voice. Opening the channel with [member="Kitsune"]'s ship, Mikkel gave docking permission and sent a single message to the ship: "Meet me on the Command bay, I just saved your life."

Turning to Marth, Mikkel chuckled as he turned on his lightsaber. "No need for that just yet. Put your helmet back on and escort the patrons on that ship up here," Mikkel ordered, taking his advanced agent armor out of his pack and putting it on.

"Damn.. I missed all the fun." Marth said, shaking his before putting the sheathing the sabre and tucking it away out of sight. "These things are so stuffy.." He said with a huff, slipping the helmet over his head. The Umbaran nodded, "Will do." He said in reply to Mikkel's orders. He jogged over, past the mass of bodies to his rifle, picking it up and checking how many shots were left. "See ya' in a few" he said, "stay in touch." He said with a nod before stepping over the dead body that was left in the doorway and making his way down to the docks.

Once the disguised soldier reached them he looked around, pointing the barrel of his gun to the ground and taking up a position by the doors to the hanger. He spoke quietly down the Primeval Channel, "Waiting on the ship's arrival."

The ship slowly docked with the station, and Amanojaku and four of his men boarded the ship. The welcoming guards and crew were surprised by their appearance and asked in shock, "What happened? And identify."

Amanojaku approached the six guards and the welcoming diplomatic board of three. He paused for a moment. Amanojaku muttered extremely softly.

The guards approached him and looked at him with concern.

They now could understand what he said.

DIE.

Almost immediately, Amanojaku and the four men behind him slaughtered the men and threw their equipment inside of the ship. The corpses were stripped and placed alongside Bishop in his cargo crate.

They moved towards the command center, killing anyone they encountered.
