A Simple Job

Abregado

After months of searching Keziah had finally found Calico and the two settled down. It was everything that she had wanted and what they had spoken of doing since getting together. They didn't have to run anymore or hide but live peacefully within the walls of the Protectorate.

Now that she was settled the young woman couldn't just sit and do nothing. She wanted to help protect her new home and show her gratitude for them taking her in. Keziah knew that with her abilities as a Jedi she could do just that and grow within the Force. She could become a powerful Jedi one day with their help.

Today she was waiting for [member="Pravis Sharman"] as they had been assigned a mission together. It was supposed to be a simple one since it was one of their firsts. If they did, they would be trusted with more. Keziah was glad to be starting small to get back in the swing of all of this. Taking a seat at the cafe they were to meet at she ran a hand through her hair as she waited.

'Well...This is going to be a surprise.' Pravis thought to himself as he spotted the café, The Red Dead Rocket , on the horizon. Thanks to the wonderful planning of some lazy clerk officer, he had almost no information on [member=Keziah Denko], besides the fact that she's a girl and her name. No rank, no species, not a single solitary fact.

Yet, at least in the Kaleesh's mind, he was instead given a point-by-point paper on the pirates they were facing, which would put a Ithorian to sleep. As Pravis swung opened the door to the café, he looked around at the patrons. Noticing that for the most part it was empty, he saw the single woman in the whole establishment besides the people at the counter. He walked forward, and extended his hand for a handshake. " You Keziah Denko? " He quietly asked.

"Keziah Tal'Verda," she smiled standing up to shake his outstretched hand. She hadn't been told much about the person that she was going on this mission with. She only knew that what they were doing would involve pirates. Really she needed to get more of a handle on her position here within the protector. "It's nice to meet you. I'm glad that you were able to find me. I got very little information in regards to you or what we are supposed to be doing. How about you?"

She was very hopeful that he knew more about this mission than she did or they were in trouble. Well, maybe not she was good at figuring things out and problem solving from her youth and time with the Liberty Concord.

" The great thing about the Protectorate is, I get no information about who I'm working with, but I have a 30-page report about why pirates are evil. " Pravis replied in an annoyed tone, as he shook her hand with a firm grip. " The pirates are a mixture of Duros and Vong, who banded together after a militia from a nearby planet wiped out both of their gangs. Supposedly they have some headquarters somewhere around here... " The Kaleesh motioned to the door, as he scanned the area around the café through the windows. Seeing nothing of interest, he shrugged and turned to [member="Keziah Tal'Verda"].

"I think we just got someone whom is new or maybe they want us to try and work though things. You know use our brains and that. I have an address of where we are supposed to find these pirates. Supposedly they intercepted a shipment of ours. That's all I got. Ready to go?" She grinned as she pulled out the address and slid it across the table to him. She was pretty excited about the opportunity to prove herself and maybe even find something else on this adventure. She was sure they could find something else interesting as well on their ship. Nobody ever said they couldn't take things that they ended up finding.
