A Simple Job

She had never been to Bothawaui and was eager to see the lush flora environment. The shuttle followed the Manda Merchant Route and landed at an urban terminal in the financial district. Her grey silk suit concealed a shimmering form fitting tunic, which accentuated every detail of her body. The suit was an ironic metaphor for her precious consignment. The gray metallic case contained data tapes. Information so sensitive that it had to be hand delivered to the CEO of the Bothan Banking Network. Her instructions were specific and every detail was mandatory.

She knew Dresselese but only a few words of Bothese. The BBN office was brisk walk from the shuttle terminal. The building was polished duracrete with prism shaped windows. As she passed through the lobby she observed a porter delivering food. He went office to office leaving trays of food. She walked quickly trying to avoid any delay. A secretary, part humanoid part protocol droid blocked her path to Mr. Rjin’s suite. Cutter Blush smiled and announced that she was delivering time sensitive data to the CEO. In a monotone voice the secretary informed Blush that Rjin was not in the office. “I’ll wait.” The secretary informed her that Rjin had left for the day. “This is of the utmost importance that I give him this case.” The porter came to hall in front of the secretary’s desk. The secretary left her desk to get a tray of food. Blush looked at Rjin’s appointment log that indicated that he was at Dazzles, Alpha 4 Delta Merchant Square. The secretary returned with a tray of snacks. Blush smiled “Here is my business card.”

Dazzles was a glitzy club which offered libations and vice. Blush removed her conservative knee length skirt to show her short tunic. Then she opened her jacket to reveal her décolleté. She moved through the club looking for Rjin. A large hairy Bothan Bouncer approached Blush “I am looking for Rjin.” He grinned and motioned that she should follow him. They climbed a spiral staircase, which stopped at the top level of the building. He opened a door and ushered her into a large gaming room. It was wall-to-wall games of chance. Rjin sat at a table with three others: a Bothan, and two humanoids. Rjin was easy to spot. He was elegant, slightly out of place. She moved slowly and stood behind him. He was about to bet his hand when she leaned down to speak to him. She was a distraction and made the Bothan angry. The Bothan took the table and flipped it over, then lunged at Rjin. The Bouncer joined in. It was a full-blown brawl. Food and drinks were flying through the air. Furniture was trashed. Blush took cover behind the bar to wait it out.

Juthan had watched the whole thing from his table in the corner, but had been both smart enough and capable enough to stay out of it. Anyone or anything that was sent his way was stopped either with a quick tapping of his saber, or a slight manipulation of the force. After all this brawl had nothing to do with him and he was very much happy to stay out of it for as long as he could. He glanced over to the bar which he could see behind from where he was and tipped his head in a light bow to @[member='Meret Blackmoon'], congratulating her on staying out of it just as he had.

Juthan, caught Blush's attention. He was handsome and smart to stay out of the Bothan's angry outburst. But even more important, her precious case had landed near his leather booted foot. In a hand gesture she pointed to the case and then brought her hands to her chest indicating that the case was hers. She hoped that @JUTHAN'ATHAR would bring the case to her.

Juthan followed her hand gesture to the direction of the case and looked at those fighting. He drifted the case of the table and hovered it over the ground slowly towards her, careful to make sure no one saw it moving before letting it rest on the ground next to the woman and bowing his head in again, wording the phrase. "Your welcome, good luck trying to get out of here right now though." He nodded towards the blocked exit/entrance before drinking from his glass. @[member='Meret Blackmoon'],

Blush had her case again. She was relieved to have it in her possession. It was only after the fact that she understood that he was a Force user. Any other time she would be in a state of awe. BUT now she had to stop the brawl, see that Rjin was safe and give him the metal case.

Juthan glanced back over at the fight, watching it for a moment before sighing. "Bloody morons, if your gonna fight go do it somewhere that people arent trying to relax at." He said this absentmindedly, not even trying to make himself heard by those fighting. And why should he bother too, this fight nor its partakers are not important to Juthan so let them knock the crap out of each other. @[member='Meret Blackmoon'],

[SIZE=13pt]Blush held the precious case tight, right next to her body as she stared at Juthan. A force user could stop this melee. She wondered if he could read her thoughts. Blush closed her eyes and focused on him. Maybe you are only a Padawan and can’t stop this fight. I am going to stop it. I will very likely get hurt. Do you want to see an innocent being battered and bruised? On the count of 10 I am going to stop it. I hope you have my back, handsome? 10,9,8, Blush popped up from behind the bar. 7, 6, 5, She observed the Bothan punching Rjin. 4,3,2 She took in a deep breath and screamed. 1…..[/SIZE]
[SIZE=13pt]Blush ran to Rjin, thrusts her metal between the fisted hand of the Bothan and the bloodied face of Rjin. BAMMMM The Bothan’s hand hit the metal case. The impact fractured several of the Bothan’s metacarpals. Rjin turned to Blush and asked “Who on Bothawaui are you?” The Bouncer and two security guards headed start for Blush. @Juthan'Athar[/SIZE]

Juthan sighed and stood as soon as she had moved, walking over to the trio that now closed in on her and halted their movements with a wave of force energy to the chest of each of them. He stepped between the three and stood there with his hands crossed behind his back, both of which hidden by the robes he wore. "I suggest you turn back ad leave. -Now-." He made no more move or spoke no more words, just merely waited for them to leave or act. @[member='Meret Blackmoon'],

Firefighter watched the fight threw the window of the floor below so he decided to see what was going on. He walked up the stairs just as Juthan was telling the bouncer and the two security guards to back off. Firefighter then stood behind the guys and silently pulled his saber out waiting for them to attack. He could sense that Juthan was a member of the empire, but wasn't sure if he was a sith apprentince or a master.

After training excersises on Felucia, Horaan would usually take a shuttle to bothawaui for some down time. He would usuay hang out at his favorite bar spending his credits on card games, hoping to win big. He was playing sabaac when the fight broke out, he saw one of his fellow sith jump in and horaan drew his blaster ready to fire if needed. "Do as your told now alien scum or ill blow you to bits right here."

Looked at the two new arrivals and let his mind flow out to them, compelling but not forcing them to ease their hostilities so that things do not become worse than they are. Granted it may already be too late for that, forcing his own hands to grab the hidden saberstaff behind his back and under his robe. Hopefully the Bothans would take the hint and leave the matter alone, otherwise the two newcomers were going to cause an even greater issue than originally. It was only a matter of time before the authorities got involved. "Lets all calm down and talk this out, no need for things to get worse, you've had your fun. How about I buy you three some drinks and we forget the whole thing?" He put every ounce of persuasion and his limited ability in telepathy to try and persuade the otherwise hostile bar patrons. @[member='Horaan Estidal'], @[member='firefighter47'], @[member='Meret Blackmoon'],

Blush's eyes opened wide as she thought that she might be on the receiving end of a punch or arrested for starting this. Juthan finally stood up and his presence made the difference. "Thank you, sir." She then grabbed a towel from behind the bar and tended to Rjin injuries. He was clearly confused. Blush explained to Rjin "I am from Joran I have legal docs in this case for you. I was instructed to hand delivered them to you." Rjin nodded and took the case. "Thank you, Miss?" "Cutter Blush." Her job was done. And now she needed to thank Juthan and the two other mysterious men who appeared out of nowhere. Blush took Juthan's hand and held it in hers for a moment. "Thank you, did you read my thoughts?" She acknowledged the two others. Then walked over to an undamaged table and motioned to them to join her.

Horaan looked over as the beautiful woman who had started the whole thing motioned for him and the others to her table. Horaan casually walked over, putting his blaster rifle back in its holster and grabbing a drink for him and the others handing it to them as he sat down. "Hello gentlemen, and ladies"

He looked behind him once everyone had calmed down and Meret had sat down, only smiling at her question. "No, i saw you go and try something stupid, i dont intrude on other's mind without their expressed permission. Atleast not enough to read someone's thoughts. I have Ally for that." He looked up to the corner he had been sitting at, in the shadows along the roof was a Qom Jha that had been watching the entire thing silently. "None the less that was stupid miss, you were acting on the expectation that i infiltrated your thoughts, and had i not acted as soon as you moved to protect who ever that was. You would be beaten and bloodied, that or have atleast one bruise." Juthan looked over at the other two. "And i dont think the example set by you two was all that perfect either, especially you soldier. Most people would have turned on you in an instant for the racist remark and for the otherwise hostile greeting you gave them."

"my oh my, im sorry" said Horaan sarcastically. "Shall I go apologize to them? I was itching for some action anyways..." Horaan moved and positioned himself differently and then asked casually, "so what brings you guys here? Don't think iv'e seen you here before."

Horaan takes a sip of his drink, and then sets it down and nods towards firefighter (you should get that name changed). What about you two? Whats a pretty girl like you doing here?

Out of the corner of her eye she saw Rjin open the case and smile. When all four were seated the server brought over a tray of assorted drinks and snacks complimentary of Rjin. Blush leaned into the center of the table and slowly stared each one of the gentlemen in the eye. Then she addressed Juthan. "Are you not supposed to keep a low profile, in all my days I have never been in the company of so many special beings."
She addressed Horaan's question. "I am a diplomatic courier for Joran, the legal investigator for the Bothan Banking Network and now I have to make arrangements to return to Naboo. The public transport was just dreadful---crowded are any of you headed that way?" Blush rocked her chair back balancing it on the back two legs of the chair.
