A Sith Who Is Not A Sith? (Niria)

[member="Niria"]

It had taken a considerable amount of mental effort for Nantaris to come around to the possibility that a Sith might not be a Sith. That is, a red-skinned humanoid identified as Sith species might not be an evil member of the Order of Sith.

However long this conclusion had taken, it was now solidly in place, and he now has a Sith Padawan! Every time he said that it felt weird.

And so to Arkas they had gone, his home base, and there he could begin Niria’s training. It was his fervent hope that the girl could repress her baser instincts and stay on the path of the Light. He’d just have to see.

And so, although he hated early mornings, he was up and ready in the dawn light to meet Niria and begin her training.

Niria didn't have much hope for becoming a Jedi, to be honest. She expected to, at the very least, be turned down. At the worst... She didn't think about that, not here. Here, she only thought about what she would be learning, and how. It took her a moment to wrap her mind around the fact he wasn't officially a member of the Silver Sanctum, but she eventually accepted that independent can exist. Afterall, here she is, a Jedi!

And also, here she was... a teenager, basically. She was used to sleeping more. Waking up early for her is about 11:30 AM... This early, she was most definitely still nursing a mug of caf, and her hair was a wild mess. She let out a soft yawn, turning her head to the left until her neck audibly popped, followed by a tired moan.

"Nobody told me Jedi woke up this early, Master Nantaris." The Crimson Jedi muttered out, her words slightly slurred from how tired she was. She may notbe grumpy, but she is definitely not a morning person.

“I’m usually not,” Nantaris replied, yawning. “Usually don’t like mornings until the sun is high. However, it’s important today.”

“I never got to ask you much on Dantooine how much experience you had with the Force. Have you had any training at all?”

The Jedi walked to the edge of a nearby slope which offered a lovely view of where the sun would rise over the ocean horizon.

“It’s quite a view, and I wanted you to see it so that you get a good idea of your surroundings.”

Truth be told, she was fairly untrained in the Force, having learned all of what she knew on her own. It took her many years to master even the basic Push and Pull. With a small smile, she took her time to remember the meditation lessons with her father, who helped her focus on keeping herself calm, focused on the Light, how to be a better empath, etc.

"Well, my father- Zillam Chagteath -taught me meditation techniques he used to keep himself from being consumed by the Dark Side, as well as how to better sense one's emotions. Basic combat Force Pushes and Pulls are something I only recently taught myself." She shrugged after she was finished speaking, finishing off her caf and levitating the mug back to the kitchen.

This writer apologises for the delay.

Nantaris nodded approvingly at her usage of the Force. Unlike the more formal masters of the Order, he had no problems with ‘frivolous’ applications of the Force.

“Your father sounds like a wise man. Now this may seem a strange question, but what prompted him to move to the Light…and instruct you as such as well? I’m glad he did, but I’m interested in how he broke away from the stereotypes and traditions to form a more enlightened view. No pun intended.”
