Aboard the Azure Alcyone

The starship had breached into the planet's atmosphere, and was flying a mere couple of thousand kilometers above sea level. Its captain, a Zeltron male by the name of Spek Zhio, was making sure not to go over a speed of nine hundred fifty kilometers per hour. If any modern database even had the specifications for such an ancient ship, that would be the value stated under 'top atmospheric speed'.

The Azure Alcyone, was born out of the dead husk of an YT-1930 transport. Under the hood, the ship was on par with everything else that the best dry docks in the galaxy had to offer. Although, more so in terms of speed and maneuverability, than fire power. Still, if sabacc had taught Zhio anything, was that you never reveal your hand until you were sure that the pot was yours.

Best to let whoever - or whatever - might be reading the ship's approach, think that he was really at the helm of a relic from a bygone era.

As the Alcyone was flying over the floodplains, on her final approach towards the landing pad of House Sonador, Spek motioned at his co-pilot and handed them control over the vessel. He got up from the pilot's seat, retrieved his golden-embroidered red jacket from the back of it, and put it on. Doing so, while gazing through the cockpit's viewport at the converging cityscape. A skyline broken by inverted icicles, like a reflective gray and blue behemoth, scratching at the sky.

He turned around, brushing a control panel with his hand as if caressing it, and said to his ship,
"LC-1, set your transponder code to the Corellian, and send the proper authorization codes for docking."

The control panel's lights blinked rhythmically, for a brief moment. As if the ship was answering him.

"That's my girl!"

If not for being Force sensitive, Zhio would not even feel that minor change in velocity brought upon his mass, thanks to the inertial dampers canceling the brusque deceleration of the starship.

They were close to docking now.

After checking on the condition of his speeder bike, parked against the port side cargo bay, at the stern of the ship, he climbed on top of it and placed both hands on the handlebars. Before that, while on its way there, Spek had gathered his personal belonging from his captain's quarters. Which included his blasters, lightsaber, and vibrosword. All casually concealed beneath his long jacket, barring the sword, displayed at the hip.

He awaited for the ship to dock, and its bay doors to open.

Sero took control of the vessel and ‘helped’ guide her down for their approach and eventual landing. Truly the ship did most of the work and that was all the better for him. If there was one thing in this galaxy Sero hated it was Hutts, and then Gamorreans, and then Zuba, and then work. Mostly honest work but really if you asked him all work could get bent. Which brought him here helping to copilot some old relic of a vessel for a shot at an egregious amount of credits compared to the amount of work or at least that is how the ship’s captain had sold it to him. Some guy named Speak or Spock or something like that.

A zealtron. Dressed nice. They spent an evening drinking together recently and Sero had apparently sold his skills well enough that the man signed him up to join his crew for this job. True enough Sero was a passable pilot, almost certainly qualified to sit next to the captain and ‘help’ him while he really did all the real work that went into flying something of this size.

A voice came over the comms saying they were cleared to land. Sero grunted something acknowledging and put the autopilot on to let it finish the job.

While the ship docked Sero had made his way to the cargo bay and found his employer straddling a speeder bike.

“Should I stay with the ship or…?” He asked the captain as the bay doors began to open.
