A Techy Fair (PM for Invite)

Amar. Home of the Amarans. And what else? Well not much, truth be told. EXCEPT for the latest and greatest tech fair this side of Coruscant!!

As soon as Lori heard about it, she was quick to buy tickets. Gadgets, merchants and feats of engineering of all kinds were slated to be there and there was no way that she was going to pass that up! Besides, she had her jetpack Ol'Sparky to show off. Maybe there'd be some other equally gifted individuals that she could pick the brains of. Or maybe make a friend or two. You never know!

After parking her training fighter amongst a whole host of other visiting vessels, Lori was quick to gather Ol's Sparky and strap it over her shoulders. She fished out her goggles and fit them so that they rested on the top of her head. Her credit pouch was stuffed into her coat pocket and moments later, she was walking to the fair with an excited bounce to her step. That is until she dropped her goggles over her eyes and turned on her jetpack, taking off into the skies above to get a good view of where she wanted to go first!

Kat had been able to get permission to visit the tech fair on her own. Her mother wasn't happy but her sister, Rose, was able to convince her to let Kat come. They all knew that Kat was going to come so she might as well allow it even if it didn't matter. Kat packed all her tools and made sure her droid, M1-NI was prepared and ready to join her. Though the droid was not particularly interested in joining her on this mission, rather spending time with her family. "Shorty! I don't care, you are coming with me. Grab some boxes and c'mon!" Kat stated annoyed. She prepped a ship and made her way to the fair.

At the fair, she built a store for herself. Some unique customised weapon skins and more elegant designs of weapons. People were ordering in equipment or asking her to fix things. Kat was in her element, there was dark oil and grease stains on her grey top, her baggy tracksuit bottoms had oil handprints as she worked on several delicate pieces she had to adjust. "Shorty, hand me the mini hydrospanner. No. No. No. Is that a hydrospanner? No. Next to that one. No. Yes, thank you." Kat grumbled, she knew he was taking the mick but this was her job and she was in the zone.

Oh it was so pretty from up here! But hard to pinpoint which booth would be the best from that high up. So Lori brought herself down for a gentle landing, making use of the new dials that she had put in her controls. Once her feet touched the ground, she turned Ol' Sparky off and slid her goggles up so that they rested on her head.

"Now let's see...food first? Or tech? Hmmm..." Her fingers wrapped on her chin while she thought it over, looking about and giving small smiles to those that looked her way.

And then she spotted [member="Kat Decoria"] . The oil and grease stains on her, plus the look of determination in her eyes while she tinkered drew Lori's attention straight away. So off she went towards her booth. "Hi! Whatcha workin' on there?"

Kat was engrossed in her work, welding two small pieces of metal together then using the hydrospanner to tighten a bolt when a voice called out to her. Looking up, her goggles covered her dark eyes, lifting them up, there was a clear dirtline where she been working hard on the device. It was an unfamiliar face yet she felt like she recognised them from somewhere. Leaning back into her chair, Kat smiled warmly. "Hi, I'm Kat. Nice to meet you." She smiled warmly before she carefully lifted the small device.

It didn't look like much to start with. Smooth, flat and only thing of note was a button on the top of it. Kat pressed it and the tiny droid sprung to life, crawling around on the table with a camera installed as its eye. "Here, look at this datapad." Kat handed it over. "As you can see, its a livefeed from the droid to the datapad. A little basic in design and utility but that was what I was asked to do. Shorty over there is my own work start to finish though so might be better to take a look at that if you want something creative. This is to help some guy out who wanted to ensure his wife wasn't cheating." Kat stated.

Shorty gave a few whirls and beeps causing Kat to chuckle. "Sure Shorty, you are my best project." Kat rolled her eyes. "Did you need me to tinker with anything? Like your jetpack?" Kat noticed it immediately, it looked pretty good in her opinion. There would choices she wouldn't have made but neither here nor there.
