A Trail to Dathomir: Omega Pyre

Above Kinyen...

In a contingent of Kro Var vessels, Royalty descends upon a small world within the surrounding territory of an Empire that dwarfed the small existence of the Kro Var Empire, exemplifying it's goals. It was here however, in search of a friend. Not particularly with the faction effected by this small voyage, but one far off in the distant horizon. A small jewel in the sky harboring friends of one similar to the one, that these strange, primitive peoples have come from. To Dathomir, they venture, but through three mighty Empires must they first, pass through.

That first mighty Empire, was a strange place that these strange people could not particularly understand, above a world under protection of the Omega Pyre Protectorate. It was an Empire, not to be trifled with, as if they had ever saw the Kro Var as some sort of target, they could very well wipe away their existence in this cosmos forever; and as far as they understood, they could very well be paid to do it. This made the Emperor Etarn very cautious about this place, weary that at any moment they may instead intend to strike them dead. It would most certainly be an opportune time for them, as without the Emperor, most likely the entire system would collapse in civil war once more.

Even more dangerous, he had decided to bring his daughter with him, the heir to the Empire. He had various other children that could fill in her role, should she parish with him, but this would be against everything he had ever dreamed of. He didn't dare however, to exclude the Throne to the next of kin to his daughter should he and she die, in his will, least they try to make an opportunity of it. But at any rate, the Emperor and his Princess had gone on a trek across the Galaxy to meet old friends of whom Kro Var had not yet met. He brought her along to teach her the game of politics and diplomacy, and little Ruye Etarn, is frustrated with her father, wanting no part in anything he has to do as Emperor.

Princess Ruye Etarn, sat upon the bridge of the ship, seated next to the Great Throne of the Emperor Haru Etarn, the legendary Earth Shaper and Savior of Kro Var. The young 16 year old girl, looked away from her father at the stars of this alien world, slouching in boredom, with her head propped up by her arm. Beside her, her father sat straight up, in absolute perfect posture. His face was stern, and ever-serious. His beard was to a point, and his head gleaming slightly. His bright yellow robes were wrapped around him, with his hands in his large sleeves. She didn't understand him one bit, and hardly tried to. A communications officer asked for the Emperor's message. Patching it through, the officer listened as his Emperor spoke.

"I am Emperor Haru Etarn, of the First Kro Var Empire. I come to this world, on the edge of your borders, to request passage through your territory, upon this Trade Spine, apparently owned by the world of Corellia. I request to you, a proposition that may lead to further business and friendship, between Kro Var, and your vast and great... Empire." Her father managed, unsure exactly what to call the Omega Pyre technically.

"To the benefit of us both, I ask that we may meet diplomatically, to allow us passage in the future, and other agreements that we may settle on. How do you respond, to our humble request?" He father finished. Ruye rolled her eyes, so bored she attempted to get out of her seat to explore the ship, but was quickly stopped, as her father grabbed her dress, without breaking his gaze with the planets surface. Scrunching her face, she sat back down, with a loud harrumph.

Morna was meditating in a room of the ship they were in. He didnt know where they were other than Omega Pyre Air space. The Emperor didnt want to start a war with the Omega over something stupid like flying by. If it was his ship to command he would have gone around the areas that may have be questionable. He was losing his focus at the moment and thought about meditating. He had layed his Sith sword infront of him. It began to float in the air from training with the Sith. But most of all the blade was lit on fire. He was a Shaper of Fire. He remembered his name that was given to him 'Phoenix'. He focused on his name. he wanted to remember what was his fathers last name.

He only wanted that name. but It didnt matter now. He felt a presence behind him. He could tell that it was a man. He could feel that the man was of the earth by the smell and from how big he felt. He said to Morna "We have reached Omega Pyre Air space." Morna nodded his head and let the force drop his fire blade. It smothered out and fell to the floor. Before the blade could touch the ground Morna Grabbed the blade out of the air and placed it in the sheath on his back. The sheath layed on top of his Flex-weave vest that was cut off at the shoulders. His smuggler pants covered the bottom portion of his Flex-weave suit. He wore no helmet.

Slowly he stood up and faced the man to see that he was darker skinned than him. The man looked at Morna's Tattoos on his arms and the permanent black marks on his hands that lead up to his fore arms. he had seen that look before. When he first got to the Kro Var planet after running away the people of the Fire temple that he trained at treated him as an outsider. He shook his head at the man. Morna walked past him and down the hall. He was to get onto the bridge to be a body guard for the Emperor and his daughter if they were to have to go planet-side. He just hoped that nothing 'funny' happened.

He walked past men and women that gave him looks of disgust. He walked by them and thought that if the job he was given was so important then why did they treat him like crap? He would have to ask the Emperor when he could get him alone. Which was probably never. He didnt care. Morna straightend himself before he entered the Bridge where the two most important people in the Kro Var faction were. He just hoped that they didnt treat him the same way. He walked in to continue his job.

Then...

"Sir, we have an incoming message."

Major Anika Od'Manteiv gave a curt nod, her focus drawn to the large holoarray in front of her.

"Patch it through,"

"Yes sir!"

There was no semblance of surprise over the Major's face. Such requests had become more and more common with the Omega Protectorate influencing more and more of the Hydian way, Corellian Trade Spine, and the Rimma Trade Route.

"Patch it through to the Lady Protector,"

"Yes sir!"

"We have incoming ships."

Anika stood at the bridge of the station, her hands loosely clasped at her back. "Hail them."

"Yes Sir." A pause. "Ready Sir."

"Unidentified ship, this is Major Anika Od'Mantiev at Sigma Station Besh of the Omega Protectorate. Identify yourself."

Ruye, watched as her surprised father scoffed quietly. It wasn't audible of course, but Ruye being near her incompetent father, she could hear his every breath. She though, sighed audibly in response, which earned a frustrated glare from her father, before he continued to communicate with the apparent delegate of the Empire before him.

"I have identified myself as the humble ruler of Kro Var, near the area you know as the Anoat sector. On behalf of my Empire I, Haru Etarn the First, come to request that I receive safe passage through your territory. I come to establish a route of trade from Kro Var to the far off world known as Dathomir. We come in the hand of friendship." Her father announced.

As she continued to ignore her father's diplomacy, her turned head looked to the stars, while a body guard walked in to observe the first contact. She looked at him, and immediately she sat straighter in repulsion. Whoever this was, she didn't take a fancy to him at all. Well... she didn't appreciate his attire. In both embarrassment for such an unruly show of disgust, and slightly because of a sudden bout of shyness, the Princess looked straight ahead at the women who was hailing her fathers ship. With a hand to her temple she hid her face from the boy, but kept her gaze away from her father, who glanced at her quizzically. This was utterly embarrassing.

Morna walked in to see that the Emperor was slightly mad at the person on the other line. He stood up straight in the presence of the Royal family. Out of the corner of his eye he saw the Princess. She was hiding her face from him for a reason he did not know.

He looked at her for a split second to see that she had clothes that would cost him years to earn enough credits to buy just the sleave. He looked away from the girl and move forward to stand behind the Emperor Haru.

Morna didnt have his lightsaber so he wouldn't expose that he was trained in the invisible force. but he could feel the tencion in the room about the current status in the stars.

Ah, it was the Kro Var Shapers. Headquartered had replied with an answer earlier.

"Your Majesty, we have heard about your request." a wave towards the comm officer relayed the Lady Protector's recorded message.

"Emperor Haru Etarn the First, my condolences for being unable to personally address you. I have received your message and will allow any civilian passage within the Omega Protectorate without any hindrances. Military fleets, however, would require a set tax, scaled on the size of the ship plus armament."
"I hope this is found to be reasonable for you."

Ruye heard her father grumble a bit.

"I am in possession of Military Ships, I shall pay the tax." Her father managed. While he transfered currency's to allow him passage, the crew prepared for the ship to leave.

"In addition to this passage through your territory, I was wondering if it was possible to land upon one of your worlds to discuss future relations, and perhaps a bit of diplomacy." Her father requested. Bored of her father's droning, and over her previous embarrasment, she decided that the body guard was something of interest to. Thus she looked up finally at his face to find that she actually knew this one.

"Morna?" She whispered to him. She honestly had not noticed who he was by his attire, but she remember his displeasure with having to help with the building of this small contingent of Ships as an outcast. He was indeed an outcast, and there was something strange about him that she did not like, that reminded her of her father. She decided to ignore it for now, but she would find out one day.

"That can be arranged. Major Od'Manteiv will handle the details, your majesty." There came a slight nod from the holographic relay of the Lady Protector. "Welcome to the Omega Protectorate."

"Yes, Ma'am." Anika said in turn, awaiting the Kro Var's reply.

Morna heard his name being whispered as the emperor was talking about future relations. He looked over to the princess Ruye. He looked at her and saw that she was wanting his attention. He looked over to a guard and motioned with his head to move closer to Haru. He then faced Ruye again and walked over to her. "Is there something you want m'lady?" He was told to be formal around her and to hold very high respect for her. He did but it was not the type that most people thought.

Morna saw that she was sizing him up and making sure that it was him. he knew that she was going to find out about his past with the Sith. He didnt like it that way and wished that he had gone a different path. He was stupid then and had the scars to prove it. He was trying so hard not to go back and grab his lightsaber because he felt bare with out it. But he had his Sword with him. Though he remembered that it was a Sith sword, and a bad influence on him. It seemed as though he would have to get a new one sometime to replace it and rid himself of the foul thing.

"I assume that you wish me to dock upon this world before me? I would like to meet in person." The Emperor told the women. Ruye rolled her eyes to her fathers notion. He was truly an idiot. What leader of a Nation brings himself into the lands of a potential enemy, and walk about essentially unarmed and ungaurded, as if there was nothing to worry about. What was worse, he put everything on the line by bringing her here as well. If she was dead along with him, Kro Var would be in utter shambles.

Morna said:

She continued her whispers to Morna. She was surprised he was here to be honest, having first met him as a worker, and in less (culturally) revolting attire. She contained a bit of a laugh to Morna's speach. She found it funny that he spoke to her as a gentleman. She was used to it of course, but it was not of her to expect it from Morna given his... strangness. Regardless however, her grumpy face turned back to Morna.

"I wish to leave the bridge." She whispered, earning a bit of a glare from her father.

Morna almost pissed his pants. She wanted to disobey a order to be on the bridge during that time. He looked at her with wide eyes that would show her what he thought. Carefuly he looked over his shoulder and then back to her and whispered "It doesn't seem like you care what your father thinks. I can't order you, and I doubt you want my advice but so you know if you leave I will have to follow you."

He was not a snitch and wouldn't become one ether. so it looked like there was a change of plans.

"The Lady Protector is not on the space station, nor on Kinyen" Anika said plainly, referencing the closest world. "That is a long range transmission from Fondor. "

"If you wish to speak to the Lady Protector in person, that is where you must go."
