A Trip Through Legend

Ruusan2.jpg

Taeli sighed as her ship dropped out of hyperspace and she immediately engaged the stygium cloak. It wouldn't be good if she was picked up the Republic ships that were in the area. She was also keeping her Force presence tightly under lock and key while she placed a false light side aura over it through her Mask ability. Ruusan held so much history, and she was both excited to explore it and see her sister again.

[member="Corvus Raaf"] had planted the idea into her head and she just couldn't resist any longer. Angling her ship through the atmosphere, she sent a message on their secure message link.

"Hey Corvus, I'm on Ruusan and going to be landing near the Valley of the Jedi for now. Meet me there when you get the chance."

Landing her Sicarius Infiltrator, Taeli sighed again as she waited for her sister. Waiting was only going to let her focus on everything that had been happening. Still, she wondered if . . . Emilia was going to arrive like they had talked about. Maybe, or maybe not. Taeli was just exhausted from all of it, and vacations weren't really helping it at all. Was something wrong with her? Why did she feel this way right now? What could be affecting her so?

Still not sensing the slowly growing spark of light within her yet, but it would be soon that it register in her perceptions, Taeli pondered why she felt so guilty over everything, even after she had done her best to fix the situation. What could she have done differently to protect and save her friend? Was there another option she had overlooked in her rush to forestall judgment on herself?

A tear fell and she wiped them away before more came. She needed time to think. That would help, maybe something soft and melodious while she waited for her sister. Turning on some music, she leaned back in her chair and just let her mind wander.

Corvus was tempted to say Ruusan was her second home. In truth, it had been her first home of late – every meeting seemed to be taking her back to the place. But today was different. Today she would come to see if that spark she’d detected before had grown – and as much as she hated to rely on fate, she hoped so.

Of course she knew it would have repercussions for Melori, but perhaps – just perhaps – that situation could be handled at the same time. But she was getting ahead of herself.

"Hey Corvus, I'm on Ruusan and going to be landing near the Valley of the Jedi for now. Meet me there when you get the chance."

So she headed out immediately, picking up a speeder to make the journey in less time. Ossus required walking but Ruusan and the Valley were not conducive to that form of transport.

She sensed sadness as she approached the ship – their Force Bond sensitive enough for her to pick up the emotion even though her usual Force senses were filtered as usual.

As she killed the engine, she heard music coming from the ship and remembered her sister’s love of it. So she sat and listened for a while before making her way over to where her sister was.

‘I’m here…’

Emilia was already on the planet, her hands running over the ruins she could find and smiling as people ignored the woman that had purposefully dressed herself this way. She had been weak and alone, it was emotions she knew well and memories she could conjure up like a spell. Her now dark blue eyes cutting into the stone like lasers, taking in its every feature. She did not have her photographic memory anymore, making new information much harder to keep track of but oh how she would make sure she did. She etched every picture in a book, wrote every thought in scripture that she had taken to carrying. A Journal for a mind that was no longer a journal itself.

Then, the familiar ping that she knew all too well. 'Took her long enough...' Emilia thought to herself as she collapsed the writing utensil and then stowed away the datapad as she smiled. The armor she wore was nothing, her clothing nothing more than simple clothing that she had purposely made sure she worn out as well as she could. She did keep a few things on her, but nothing to indicate her past or what she was. With one exception. Her hand touched her father's warstaff, the warstaff that she always had with her and let it take its full length. Once extended she reached up and pulled her hood around her head as she pushed her body against the ruin's walls with the staff resting against her head and planted in the ground.

It was suppose to rain someone had said earlier today... cold and wet, like that night... she hated the rain.

Taeli wasn't really paying attention to anything nearby, trying to settle her mind with her music. The sadness and guilt just wouldn't go away though, even if Alex was alive and well again, Taeli just couldn't shake anything about the situation. Conducting and waltzing in time with the music, she kept moving around her ship, thinking.

Friends and family were the most important things for a person, and yet here she was looking at a complicated situation that tore her apart within. On one hand, her actions had protected Melori from being exposed or taken, but on the other she had sacrificed Alex to make that happen. Yes, she had planned and staged the whole thing with her, even had a way planned to bring her back to life if necessary . . . but the fact remained, she had betrayed her in a way.

Why? Why?! WHY?! Why was all this so complicated and why did she feel this way?! Stopping in mid step, she shuddered for a moment and a tear fell. She felt like she had betrayed herself by doing what she did, that she had stepped across some line and now her mind and heart were telling her to listen and analyze what she did. Moving again, she continued the waltz and began analyzing herself more. Had something changed? Was something changing?

"I'm here..." reverberated across her bond with her sister and into her head. Taeli froze again in mid-step as her sister's voice sounded in her head, and lowering the ramp of the ship, she raced down it and slammed into her sister with a fierce hug and sob.

"I need to talk to you," she gasped, her shoulders shaking. "I don't know what's going on anymore! Something changed and I . . . I can't grasp it!"

The light in her flared a bit as she focused on her love for her sister and hope that her sister would know what might be going on. Her head felt like it was spinning.

Corvus’ hand went into her pocket. Inside was a small box, black velvet on the outside, white silk on the inside and containing something very simple but very personal. A present for her sister. She had no idea if she’d like it for what it was but she was sure she’d adore it for the love and thought that had put the component parts together and what it meant in the giving.

She heard the ramp-door lowering and smiled, her hand around the object. This was going to be a special moment. But her senses told her before her eyes did – her sister was distressed. She released her hold on the box and let it fall softly back into the pocket of her robe – there was a time and a place for celebrations, and this most definitely wasn’t it.

She held her sister close and let her sob.

"I need to talk to you."

Corvus patted her on the back and let her talk. She didn’t need to tell her she would listen, it was unnecessary.

"I don't know what's going on anymore! Something changed and I . . . I can't grasp it!"

Corvus felt that spark from Tython had grown and now it was getting bigger even as they were embracing. Ordinarily she would be delighted, but this was not a time for celebrations. And so she guarded her emotions, in case she shared the wrong response to her sister’s predicament.

Corvus looked up at the sky. “Just start at the beginning and tell me everything. And we might need to go inside, it looks like rain.”

The first drop was interesting, her eyes watching it come down and reached out to let it hit her hand as she sat in the small amount of cover that was provided by the ruins of the planet. She let the feeling of the water collect on her hand from the single drop and knowing that there was something that would be difficult to see in the coming days. Someone was not happy. Somewhere. It always rained when people were sad, or were people sad because it rained, she had always wondered that when she lived on Alderaan and her hand closed as a second droplet hit her hand and she slowly pulled it back to her.

She had to be careful in using her powers, she was Emilia now, a person who knew nothing about the force and was but a woman with her own weapons of defense. It wasn't a hard thing to do, shutting herself off from her use of the force was like taking away your sight for her. You close your eyes and the physical world is gone to that specific sense. Of course, she could only actively lessen her presence in the force, which took a while to do and she would indefinitely need something that would keep her aura down for good. Alchemy would be useful but anything made of dark energy lately made her sick like she had the flu so that was a no go.

With a sigh she looked as Daeda stuck his head out of her ragged cloak, staring up at her. She hadn't been able to reconnect with him fully as of yet, their bond still recovering from the new body and from her destroying of Hel for good. That made her sad to lose his constant support but she would get it back as her tail twitched and slowly moved around herself to shield from the rain.

"I . . . I . . . I don't know where to start," Taeli blubbered, but even then she has the decency to move them into the ship before crying on her sister's shoulder again. "I was put into a difficult position, one where the options were die and let Melori be taken by those evil monsters I call colleagues . . . or betray one of my best friends. I thought of every possible scenario I could do . . . every bloody one! But, I had to protect Melori . . . so I . . . betrayed Alex but . . . but . . . she played along with it, even agreed to help. She was . . . placed on trial by the Sith for treason . . . and she was essentially executed because of my mistake and panic . . . I couldn't live with myself if I didn't try and save her from that fate."

Tears kept rolling down, she had cried about this before, but now all of the stress was pouring out, unable to be stopped.

"I modified the essence transfer ritual to pull her soul back out of the Netherworld through the Rift on Csilla into a body her fiance provided . . . but why do I still feel so guilty if everything worked out in the end and she's alive?! Why?! I can't take the constant strain of being a Sith anymore, not if it means betraying those I love . . . and I heard you had been injured on Cularin and I just . . . I had to see you . . . I had to tell you . . . I'm so sorry Corvy . . . so so so sorry!"

And she started sobbing harder again, praying her sister wouldn't judge her for it, hoping beyond hope she could be forgiven for her mistakes. The light in her continued to blaze brighter, almost within her perceptions now.

Corvus listened and avoided the temptation to speak, allowing her sister to speak fully before even contemplating a response. All she could do was hold her tight, wishing she could absorb the pain for herself, to take it away from the one she loved.

It was a new feeling for her. It wasn’t her usual selfless Jedi approach, it was so much more than that. She willed the pain to her, to lessen the suffering her sibling was clearly feeling.

Finally she realised Taeli had finished and she still wasn’t entirely sure what had happened, so she gently probed with questions.

“You protected Melori? That’s…understandable. But you betrayed a friend? But you cheated and..your friend’s soul is in another’s body now?” Corvus didn’t begin to pretend to understand the how, but could broadly cope with the concept.

The next part was the one that meant the most, but she chose to pass over it for now. To latch on to it would have been selfish and felt wrong. So she patted her sister’s back.

“I’m fine. My ankle’s been better but at least my foot is still attached. And the cuts on my face will fade in time I’ve been told.” She tried a light-hearted laugh but failed dismally.

“I…feel so helpless.” There were no tears, she was doing her best to be brave for her sister but was struggling to hold her emotions in check. “I just wish I could take the pain away. You did everything you could and nobody could ask for more. Do the…Sith know what you’ve done? Are you in danger?”

She took her sister by the shoulders and held her at arm’s length. “That’s all that matters. Everything else will work itself out, I’m sure of it.” OK, she wasn’t sure of it, but between them they could fix anything - of that Corvus was determined. And she had never had a greater resolve to be right. “What do we need to do?”

[member="Darth Arcanix"] | [member="Emilia Marean"]

[member="Corvus Raaf"] [member="Emilia Marean"]

"No . . . no, only three people know she's . . . the way she is now," Taeli mumbled. "You, me, and her fiance. The Sith don't know . . . and probably won't ever unless she reveals herself."

She was starting to calm down, but the stress and churning emotions remained. She was glad Corvus wasn't pushing her away or anything like that. She didn't know what she would do then. She could feel pure concern and love across their bond, and she had felt Corvus pulling some of her pain through the bond to lessen her end of it.

Taking a deep breath, as she had registered the questions, she elaborated by saying, "I was almost accused of treason, which put Melori in danger, because my friend was my business partner and she had fought against the Sith. I tried to think of any scenario that could get us both out of the situation, but I was running out of time and was left with little choice but to trick and drug her."

Wiping a tear away, she continued.

"When she woke up, I explained everything to her and she agreed to play along because I had contingencies planned for any eventuality and we went to trial. It was . . . a complete and utter farce. My colleagues," and she spat the word colleagues, "decided ahead of time she was to be an example and sentenced to throw her into the Netherworld through the Rift at Corellia, after of course knocking her unconscious and taking both arms off."

"Her fiance got in touch with me at this point, tried to kill me actually because he didn't know the situation, and I explained I had a way to bring her back into a new body. So he got a new body, and I modified the essence transfer ritual to be specific to drawing her soul from the Nether and pulling it into the new body. It worked, she's alive and everything, but . . . I still can't shake the feeling that I made too many mistakes and people I love got hurt..."

Falling silent for a moment, she just let her sister's love for her wash over her, and her love going back the other way . . . and that's when she finally felt it.

Pulling away from her sister to walk a few steps, she placed a hand to her chest and whispered, "Corvus . . . I feel . . . different . . . I . . . haven't felt this . . . light . . . since before . . . everything. The darkness . . . is it . . . fading? How? Why? What changed?"

Corvus breathed a sigh of relief. Her greatest fear was averted. Taeli was safe – at least for the time being.

“You were incredibly brave and selfless. The Sith that Jedi tend to think of would have only have thought of themselves. That you would not only look to protect Melori and your friend but do so at great personal risk is a trait most would associate with the Jedi. And I’m not bad-mouthing you and your ideals, quite the opposite. Regardless of Jedi or Sith, your actions were unbelievably courageous and I’m so proud to call you my sister."

She sensed Taeli was starting to calm down, but the emotions were still there. And Corvus had the overwhelming urge to shake her sister and tell her how wonderful she was, not someone who made mistakes.

“You saved Melori. You saved your friend’s soul. You ensured her fiancé kept his partner. You fooled the Sith but at the same time allowed them to make an example of this woman. I’m honestly not sure what more you could have done? I mean, keeping this woman’s body alive was sadly not an option. But you saved her soul – more precious than her body.”

Corvus sensed the feelings Taeli was radiating with regards the Sith but let them go – this was still not the time to draw attention to them. But Taeli raised the topic and Corvus could not put it off any longer.

She held her sister close again and kissed her. “Listen. Back on Tython I sensed something. When you masked you presence, you asked me to test it. It was successful but I detected something else. Something…more. In your core was a Lightness. As pure as I’ve ever seen. It was small but it was there. And by the time we parted, I was sure it had grown. But I couldn’t be sure and I didn’t want to hope.” She smiled and slowly tears started to fall. Not desperate sobs of someone grief stricken, but from a sense of profound happiness.

“And since you arrived today I’ve felt it. It’s not tiny any more. It’s taking over. I wasn’t going to say anything, your friend comes first – but…Taeli…I can’t ignore it any longer. If I look at you as a Force-sensitive for the first time, I’d have to say you were Light-sided. Perhaps these selfless acts have precipitated it? Maybe it was always there but circumstances and training subdued it? All I know is that you’re about to face another very difficult decision. And believe me when I say, I will support you whichever path you take. I cannot and will not apply any pressure. You must do what you know in your heart is true.”

[member="Darth Arcanix"]

[member="Corvus Raaf"]

Taeli didn't know what to say, but she would just hold onto her sister for support. Light-sided, she had never entertained the notion she might turn to the light side, well truly do it. She had pondered what it would be like to be a Jedi, but had always dismissed such thoughts as she had never thought it possible.

Now though, her sister's words rang true. Her actions had changed since she had gained Corvus and Melori as family, she was more concerned about making sure they were a family and less about furthering the Sith agenda. She had become more concerned about making sure her friends were able to live their lives, not tearing down and destroying lives.

"I . . . I guess . . . I never realized my actions were . . . starting to change me," she whispered. "They just felt natural, just like helping the refugees in the Imperial Remnant or helping Connor by removing part of the Sith magic embedded in his brain stem. . . Have I really been walking the path to the light all this time without realizing?"

Looking back, and feeling the warmth within her, she knew it was true. Every action she had taken, even teaching Melori more about the ark side, had been to help her, not create another Sith to be used by the Dark Lord or his various underlings. That thought right there made her realize . . . she didn't consider herself a true Sith anymore. But then, a sobering thought occurred.

"Corvy, as much as I . . . want to leave the Sith, I can't . . . not yet," she whispered. "There are a few things I have to do first, chiefly . . . rescuing our sister from herself and the darkness. I thought maybe teaching her would help but . . . I have to try . . . I want to try."

Even saying those words made her light grow brighter, the darkness within her fading rapidly, but she couldn't let it show . . . not yet.

"Corvy, I'm sorry but I need to keep this hidden for a little while longer," she said, focusing on her Mask ability and placing a layer of darkness that only one person could see through on top of it. "You'll be able to see the real me, but others will still sense . . . Arcanix."

Taking a steadying breathe, she added, "My friend actually came to Ruusan and is waiting in the Valley of the Jedi, she had something she wanted to talk to you about."

Corvus went back to listening mode. She’d said enough – maybe too much? But she couldn’t help but nod her agreement at her sister’s interpretation of her actions.

Maybe it was because of what was coming next that she had previously held back. Being selfless meant putting Melori first and herself in greater risk. And despite the fact all three were sisters, she could not honestly suggest Taeli should approach it any other way.

“You must do what you think is right. That much is simple and clear. But if she is beyond redemption today, you may have to step away and approach it at another time. Despite my acceptance of what she’s done, I believe every Sith deserves the chance to turn to the Light-side. Perhaps one day I’ll have that chance, or maybe you’ll do it first. But accepting what she is now isn’t the same as giving up on her. Dying will never make things better, please remember that.”

Corvus sighed. “We should go to the Valley now, but first I have something I need to give you. A late birthday present. When I was on Tatooine with, oddly enough Connor, we came across something and, well…” She sighed again and pulled the box out of her pocket and handed it to her sister. “I’m not always great with words.”

“It’s a Krayt Dragon Pearl. I thought it was…you know…pretty. And the chain, you know…” She smiled and shrugged. In truth this was all a bit much for her.

[member="Darth Arcanix"]

[member="Corvus Raaf"]

"I owe it her . . and to our family to at least try," Taeli said softly. "I couldn't live with myself if she ever turned into a monster like Vornskr, Vitium, or Hauntruss."

She didn't want to say the second option, if that scenario ever played out. There were some Sith, she knew them after all, that would never or could never be redeemed. She was of half a mind to put both younger sisters in a room, with ysalamiri around to negate any Force powers and no weapons, with just a bottle of Corellian Whiskey between them and orders they couldn't leave that room until they worked out their differences.

"Oh? What did you get me?" Taeli asked, curious what her sister had thought of to make up for all the missed birthdays. When she saw the necklace and the Krayt Dragon pearl on it, Taeli's jaw dropped, completely missing the awkwardness that was consuming her sister by giving such a present.

Taking it lightly in her hand, she broke into a huge and grateful smile to her sister as she said, "Oh thank you, Corvus, this is absolutely beautiful. I'm sure there is a story about how you and Connor retrieved this." Placing it around her neck, she flushed ever so slightly as she thought about the Silver Jedi Master. That man was still sitting in her mind, always striking her curiosity.

"These are exceedingly rare though, only very old Krayt Dragons actually produce pearls like this," Taeli continued, looking over the necklace. "You could easily fetch hundreds of thousands of credits with just one pearl, though I would never sell this or even entertain the notion." Thinking for a moment, she added, "You know you can actually use Krayt pearls as a focusing crystal for a lightsaber, if they are cleaned and installed correctly."

Going over and hugging her sister, she whispered, "Once everything is settled, I'll be presenting myself before the Jedi Council . . . I want to try and be a Jedi . . . once I have the chance to leave."

Moving away, she said in a louder voice, "We should go into the Valley, I want to explore and we need to talk to my friend."

[member="Emilia Marean"]

Corvus nodded. She’d encountered two of the three Sith Lords named personally and the prospect of Melori ending up like any of them filled her with dread.

And then she simply watched her sister’s face as she opened the present. The line about giving being greater than receiving felt so true. The pleasure she got from the look on her sister’s face was priceless. It was one of those perfect moments that she just had to commit to memory – to replay over and over.

“It was an unusual story. Connor was the star, I just distracted the beast – and I mean the Dragon, not Connor.” She laughed.

“And yes, I did think about making it into a saber crystal but I didn’t have a need and I couldn’t think of anything to buy you and…well, I’m glad you like it.” She blushed lightly.

As her sister hugged and whispered to her, she couldn’t resist saying it. “Now every Padawan on Ossus knows you can’t try. Do or do not…” She laughed again before the solemnity of the situation hit her again.

Sighing deeply she said, “OK, I am ready. Your friend needs us.” As they disembarked, Corvus couldn't help herself. "I noticed, back there, you know...Connor. I mean..you know...you and...?"

"Yes, Master Yoda," she quipped as she descended from the ship with her sister. "Do or do not, there is no try, I think is the expression, but apologies if I don't want to appear overly confident about becoming a Jedi."

Taeli paled a little as the question was posed to her by Corvus about Connor. She had thought her sister wouldn't notice the blush!

"Uh . . . no, there's nothing . . . I mean to say . . . um well," she stuttered. "Oh fine! I might have some feelings for him! I doubt he does for me though, something about being a Sith would probably kill any feelings before they started."

Sighing a bit, she and her sister made their way to the entrance to the Valley and went inside. Taeli just looked around in awe at the place, marveling at everything and the feeling of things.

Yoda-like_Ruusan.jpg

Compared to the Valley of the Dark Lords, which was always foreboding and trying to kill you, this area gave off a feeling of quiet contemplation and soothing energy, even if the original nexus had been formed from a thought bomb. The spirits of those ancient Jedi and Sith had lingered for a thousand years before being set free by Kyle Katarn. The statues around the area depicted every life that had been lost to the thought bomb, and Taeli could stare up at the face that could only be Lord Hoth.

"My friend should be around her somewhere, she said she would be nearby," Taeli mumbled, wondering if Alex had sensed the same thing that Corvus had within her.

Emilia leaned back in the small space where two of the ruins met and created a V shaped bed for Emilia to look up at the sky with which to relax. Sure it wasn't the most comfortable position but she could se all she wanted to in the sky and in the valley with a still possible chance of covering from a light rain that was falling. She was sitll largely hidden too, her body curled up a bit and her new tail twitching as she still didn't quite understand how it worked. She was curious to see who would come into this valley and lo and behold it was that of Arcanix and what Emilia assumed was Corvus Raaf. With a breath in she moved from the spot and collected herself, not knowing Arcanix already told Corvus that she would be here much less that they were friends. So much for a surprise for the jedi and sith.

Corvus smiled as her sister got the Yoda reference. But that smile grew as she saw her sister bluster and fluster over her simple question. “Glad to see I’m not the only sibling that struggles to deal with their true feelings. So, if he wouldn’t be interested in a Sith, what about a reformed Sith who…I don’t know…decided to become a Jedi?” She laughed softly but settled down as they walked; her sister’s friend needed her full and undivided attention.

She knew what her sister was experiencing. After a handful of visits in the past few weeks, you could be forgiven for forgetting the majesty of the place and the power of the Force here. “It’s impressive, yes?” Was all she said as they walked, allowing her sister to drink in the sights, the atmosphere and most importantly, the Force.

At the mention of her friend again, Corvus momentarily closed her eyes. Using Force Sight, she searched the surrounding area. Walls appeared translucent and all living creatures gave off an aura, even showing their health to a degree. She’d used the Force Ability for some twenty years now but was not an expert at this aspect of it.

And Corvus sensed the woman Taeli meant. She was in a small space where two of the ruins met. No sooner had she sensed her than the woman and…a small creature of some sort perhaps…started to move.

Corvus pointed where she knew the woman to be, “She’s over there and I think she knows we’re here too”

[member="Emilia Marean"] | [member="Darth Arcanix"]

[member="Corvus Raaf"] [member="Emilia Marean"]

"Maybe..." Taeli mumbled, before blushing even more as she realized she had said that aloud. "That wasn't supposed to be vocal! Anywho, yes it's very . . . impressive. I could spend days here studying everything."

Deciding that she didn't need to hide herself right now, she dropped the dark side aura spell she had been doing and just allowed the energies of this place to flow over her. It was so much different than what she was used to . . . but she liked it all the same. There was something to be said of just . . . letting everything go and just appreciating the Force and all it encompassed. Closing her eyes, she focused on her own presence and she could now see how much lighter she really had become, almost back to how she was before those boys attacked her.

Looking up as Corvus said that Alex was close, Taeli smiled as the woman appeared, the little wolf behind her following dutifully. Then her eyes narrowe din suspicion that she had probably sensed what was growing inside Taeli all this time. She was almost certain that her friend either knew Force Sight or her senses were just that strong. Hmph, she needed to learn that eventually.

"Corvus," she said as Alex/Emilia got close enough to be within earshot, "allow me to introduce Emilia Marean and her companion Daeda. Emilia, this is my sister, Corvus."

She watched the two and for a moment her eyes went to Daeda. His mind was still silent to hers, their words gone from eachother but they could still read eachother well enough to know what she was thinking. So the small wolf ran up to Taeli and made its wolfish grin before bowing to Corvus. At the same time Emilia made her bow to the Jedi master and smiled to her as she began to speak with a soft tone. "Hello, sorry that im waiting around in ruins of importance to your order, i felt it was the best place for a chance to meet a jedi, much less the Jedi master of a sister that you are to Taeli. I am honored not only to meet you as your title but as my friend's family member." She smiled and looked at Taeli for a moment before her lips straightened out. "Uh so, like Taeli said my name is Emilia. Excuse the furball and my own... odd features. We Zorren go through this around my age so i myself am getting used to the whole idea of having a tail like my mother and father."

Corvus felt strange that her sister felt slightly uncomfortable on the subject of Connor and a little received that she wasn't the only one to find it difficult to articulate in words of a few syllables what she was thinking.

But her sister’s friend took priority and so as they reached her she smiled at Amelia and as was her habit, also bowed. And then bowed to the wolf that seemed to also wish to greet her.

“This is as good a place to meet as any and I’m actually pleased you trusted me and the Jedi Order enough to travel here. And I have heard of but never met any Zorren, so if I say anything I shouldn’t, please forgive me but also correct me. It is sometimes too large a galaxy to be sure I’m familiar with every planet's customs.”

“Now, as picturesque as this valley is, would you prefer to go somewhere a little more comfortable and tell me how I can help you?” She smiled again, her demeanour clearly calm and patient.
