Sinner's Well - Ryloth

Sinner's Well stood tall and proud against the mountainous background, it was impressively beautiful even against the carefully planned work of mother nature herself. Dianah was pleased to be back again. The thick yellow stone that made up the walls cast a familiar shadow over the path she walked to reach her home. A hot bath and a comforting meal were the only thoughts on her mind as her foot found the first step in the winding staircase leading up to the front door.

A content smile spread across her face when the aged panels of wood creaked open to reveal the inside of Sinner's Well. Friendly faces were ready and willing to do her every bidding and she eagerly took the chance to express her desires. The servants were clawing for things to do, so in no time she found herself sinking into a steaming tub of sweet smelling water.

Two hours later her skin was fresh and tinged a soft shade of pink from the heat of the bath. Her thick curls hung loosely, still dripping wet and very nearly scraping the bottom of her back. Dianah tucked herself away on a sofa in the corner of the parlor. Food would be on its way soon, she had caught a whiff of its mouthwatering scent as she passed by the kitchens. With nothing left to do but wait she sank back into the feathery pillows, letting them swallow her till all that remained was a hint of her silk dress.

She hoped against hope that nobody would disturb her, but a funny feeling in the pit of her stomach told her not to bother with hope.

Prologue
Aayaith was raised on Alpheridies by her Miralukan mother. She knew nothing of her father and her mother would not talk about him, when she asked her mother changed the subject quickly. After much searching she finally found a lead.. a man named Darth Metus.. She was unsure whether this information was accurate, but if it was that would explain her strong connection to the force. She knew not of what to say if this was the man she was looking for.. Or even if he was on Ryloth. But she had to try, even if it led to disappointment.

The Descent
She had taken a lift to the planet on a shuttle who were heading to the planet to do trade. She sat in silence, as usual, during the descent. Thanking the merchants for the lift. She was dropped off a short distance from the fortress she was looking for. After some travel and questioning the locals who pointed her in the vague direction where others have gone to find it.

Outside the Fortress
Aayaith felt she was close, she could see and feel the strength of the force become greater. The surroundings didn't make much difference to her as she couldn't see the landscape due to her force sight limitations. So she waited in hopes of being approached by someone from inside the fort, if nobody had arrived within the hour she would go and find other leads or attempt to learn the exact location of the fortress...

There was nothing more satisfying than a warm meal and a good book. Dianah had been indulging herself in both for the past hour now. Just as she had hoped nobody came to disturb her. The only thing she could hear was the sweet sound of chirping birds and the soft breeze shifting the heavy curtains that decorated the window. Considering she was currently in Sinner's Well, the home of a very prominent Sith family, the atmosphere was entirely peaceful.

But nothing was ever that simple when you were in Sinner's Well.

Something crept up on her serene mind and tugged at its corners like a child wanting to play. At first she ignored it, not wanting to break away from the intriguing book she had picked out from the library. Soon it grew too big for her to concentrate on the words, never mind the complicated meaning behind them. She shut the book with a heavy sigh and wafted the particles of dust from her face as they danced around in the warm sunlight.

Dianah rose from the comfortable sofa with a groan. Her insatiable curiosity had forced her to leave the chance of a break behind as she made her way through the entrance of Sinner's Well for the second time that day. A wall of blazing heat smacked her in the face the second she stepped through the threshold. Once out in the open the irritation in her mind became clearer: it was a force signature. The strange thing about it was there were many force signatures on Ryloth, so why was this one so apparent to her? What made this one so special that it disturbed her from the safety of her own imagination?

She made her way down the winding staircase to find the answers to a million burning questions.

The journey down the stairs was multitudes easier than the journey up. Dianah skipped, hopped and jumped down them, counting each one as she went. With every step she took the signature called out to her, louder and louder till it was practically screaming in her mind. The vast landscape of Ryloth stretched out before her as she took the last few steps with a gleeful smile on her face. In the center of it, stark against the dusty scenery, was a woman. What in the word she was doing out here was beyond Dianah, but it was clear to her she was the source of force she felt.

Security was already making it's way out to her. From this distance they looked like a row little black ants getting smaller and smaller as they marched their way over to her. Dianah gathered the force, spreading it through her muscles with relative ease. The sensation was remarkably similar to the hot bath she had taken earlier. Each wave washed over her, building up energy till she was twitching on the spot. In one swift movement it was released and Dianah shot forward, leaving a trail of dust in her wake. She passed by the security guards in a matter of seconds and came to a grinding halt in front of the mystery woman.

When she spoke her tone was a mixture of amusement and intrigue.

'Well then, what do we have here?'

The Greeting!
Whilst waiting, Aayaith could see multiple droids heading her way, she was prepared to fight although she'd much prefer not to. She could sense a force signature getting stronger and closer until she realised someone approaching rather quickly.. It was a woman! She knew not of whence she came except she was strong with the force. Perhaps this woman would be able to answer her questions.

'Well then, what do we have here?' the woman said to Aayaith. The droids were still approaching and she woman seemed impatient. "I'm looking for Darth Metus, I have questions for him.." Aayaith stated to the woman. "I can come back another time if he is not here.." she said, hoping not to be surrounded by droids yet too intrigued to leave the conversation...

A small smile spread over Dianah's face. From up close it was easy to inspect her frame. She stood an inch taller than Dianah herself and had a sheen of brunette hair that caught the early morning sun. But it was the brown eye wrap that told Dianah all she needed to know. This woman couldn't see a thing, not with her eyes anyway. Miralurkan's lacked eyes all together but they were extremely proficient in force sight. Dianah half wondered what her own force signature looked like to the pale woman in front of her.

Security was still creeping up behind the two. She had almost entirely forgotten till the smooth mechanical sound coming from their marching feet caught the breeze. Dianah raised a single hand and, with one foot still mid-step, they all stopped in tandem. The caramel colored hand made no motion to send them away but they did remain firmly in their place awaiting their next orders.

'Usually people start with a name, but I suppose I skipped that step myself. I'm Dianah Vi'Dreya. Darth Metus is almost never home but you never know, you might be in luck today. Come with me to the house and I'll see if we can't find him...'

Dianah was normally never in the business of inviting complete strangers back to her home but something about this woman was particularly intriguing. A wild instinct was calling out to her, whoever she was she belonged in Sinner's Well. For what exactly? Dianah couldn't say. But she wasn't about to pass up the opportunity to find out.
